I had a glitch where tutorial pop ups weren’t showing, and I checked they were on like ten times. So I didn’t know I had a grab escape or a dodge move. Played the entire thing on hardcore just juking and shooting enemies when I could’ve totally used grab invincibility to bypass hard parts. I felt so annoyed. I literally just ran around and jog dodged all of Miranda’s attacks and shot her with the shotgun a bunch when I froze her. Also the prompt for the shockwave that finished the fight didn’t come up so I died at that part like four times without ever knowing what to do. Had to look it up.
@@Gshadin You only get the dash for the fight with Miranda, but when you get grabbed by regular enemies you can burn a power use to escape the grab, freeze the enemy for a couple seconds, and then you get the RE patented grab-invulnerability for a couple seconds. I did not know this was an option on my initial playthrough.

The game to me felt more like a dating sim rather than a full Resident Evil game; a lot of situations felt like they could be resolved better with charisma checks than with guns or anger. Plus, everyone was personable in one way or another, so that just made the weapons feel more like a gameplay mechanic than an a means of survival.

there was a bug with this dlc where the mom mannequin doll would move faster than it should based off your refresh rate. You want to play it at 60hz during then, which was why you were getting caught a lot before even able to get past that door

Just something I had thought about when I played the DLC (since he mentions the matching puzzle being childish): I kind of found that every puzzle, dilemma and such were all things that Ethan had never gotten to do with Rose naturally. In a way, the years that she grew up without him, were all handled within that world. Ethan got to watch her “grow up” from being scared of her gift to being in control of it. I liked the theme of parent/child (you even see it in Mother Miranda, the doll woman, lady demitrescu…). I took the puzzle to be like the games you get as a little kid where your parent kind of helps you through the associating process
