Well I tried this recipe with doubled the ingredients for twice the amount. It ruined my homemade chicken soup that I had simmering for three hours. First the dumplings I dropped into the simmering soup didn't cook into a firm consistency and it thickened the broth to an annoying paste like texture. The dumpling batter was thick so I don't understand why it fell apart in the pot. So I then cooked the batter into a firmer dough and then added that to the soup. This time the dumplings were holding together but they were very dense and heavy. I thought I followed the recipe well but it didn't work for me. For what it's worth I still appreciate your effort with your recipe.

A lot of tge Idahoian ones are. My wife is extremely gluten intolerant and we've not had an issue with them.

This is good point to bring up. It’s important to read the ingredients, and to be safe, pick the brand that is specifically marked as “gluten free”. Like another commenter mentioned, the Idahoan brand is gluten free.
