OK or you see that black line running down the border already, use your gage on your saw and follow that, then you won't have to use a tape measure. What a waste of time. Imo
You can make a straight line the same way using a pencil where the saw is. Then cut the line instead of trying to hold your tape square the whole time. No way thats a straight cut with blade wobble.
Now go home and spend the rest of the night picking out the little green splinters. Nice cut but rough on the thumb side of the pointer finger.anytime we sheath its Green and blue splinter day

That's just so he can cut all the way through his material without damaging the saw horses. The 2x4 isn't guiding the blade, it'd just cut through it.
It’s there to support the cut so it doesn’t bind/ pinch the blade.

Do you not get splinters in you hand from doing this. Ive done this with drywall but not plywood.
But you can get 3-14 1/2" strips out of 1 osb sheet there for he wasted 3 osb sheets
