Dude that tone. O h m y g o h d. The verb is so perfect, the subtle delay and distort is infectious and addictive and the seeming low end's separation from the rest of the freq is just everything. I was just browsing random guitar vids and had no idea in my mind that I'd see/hear this.
That's the Gojira plugin by Neural DSP in the background. It's the Clean amp, and I think all effects and EQ sections are on as well. You can get a free trial for 2 weeks from the Neural DSP website. I also highly recommend a good DI box e.g. from Radial or at the very least a Boss TU-2 Tuner pedal between your guitar and audio interface. It cleans up a lot of signal issues that I have had in past with VST's and makes them sound their best. Other than that...single coil neck and middle pickups or a coil split tone would help? If you can learn some of the parts, you could also record yourself and then just try to tweak the tone while you hear the part back on repeat. Helps focus without being distracted with knob twisting and then playing and trying to listen to what the tone should sound like. Happy Tone Hunting!
@@harmondraws that’s why I said right hand. Obviously his left hand is incomparable to that of a rhythm guitarist, but that’s to be expected because he’s not a rhythm guitarist. However most rhythm guitarists show their skill through control and precision in their strumming, muting and picking. My point is that Manuel, while having an extraordinary level of speed on the fret board, is also more proficient with his picking and strumming than many guitarists whose careers are predicated on their right hand.
@@DeathBringer769 yes! They’ve been one of my favorite bands to listen to lately. His combination of rhythm and lead playing combined with the rest of the band’s excellent execution makes them amazing.
Its raining now and I listening to it while I look at the sky and drink my tea. This song is magical, I feel it. I'm not in this world when I listen to your songs 14 June, 2021
Hey, man, just found your channel. Awesome playing, but I noticed a tremor in your left hand ring finger when your hand is off the neck. Also searched for through other videos of yours and seen the same thing. Involuntary muscle contractions is a symptom for focal dystonia, the same thing that makes Scott from Scott's Bass Lessons wear gloves. Please inform yourself if this is the first time you hear about it. It would be a shame for someone with your skill to lose their playing ability. All the best!! >:D
The concern is justified, however my guess is that many guitar players will shake the body of their guitar to make a vibrato effect. Especially after chords, so he probably is doing this😊
Still listening to the Prototype album, far less Tim Henson and more Unprocessed. Will be waiting for the new album while listening to Kadinja's super 90's instrumental album. We need those tracks during these times :)
All the child prodigies with tiny hands shred. Victor Wooten’s the most virtuosic bassist but is just 5’6 with proportional hands. You can do it if you practice enough👍
You know I once thought the same, I still kinda do, then I saw a 9 y/o girl here on you tube playing some high lvl classical compositions way better than i could. And she only had 9 digits on her tiny hands.
@@6ic6ic6ic That's a fair call, and to be honest I don't mean that everyone can attain the highest highs of playing with enough practice. I've been a musician and a bass teacher for a while now so I'm aware of both my own limits and the various aptitudes of others. I do think most people are far more capable than they think though, and there are hundreds of thousands of people who can definitely 'shred' as the guy said, with or without long fingers, it just takes some people 2 years of practice and 10 for others. If you genuinely want to be able to do it though, it doesn't matter how long it takes, especially if you aren't trying to monetize your skill. To me what's rare and more difficult to attain with practice is the compositional voice people like Tim, Ichika, Manuel and Yvette have. Everyone can improve and will naturally as they practice more, but theres a reason why thousands of people upload covers of these guys songs but there are a lot fewer who upload original compositions of equal quality and difficulty.
@@julianpischler9378 True enough to all you said. One of the key points is the practice. These people, in many cases, put tens of thousands of hours into their practice and we see the end result. Most people want the results without the effort. But also, some others are just so innately talented it's beyond belief.
This guy is so awe inspiring, it's like sat on the shores of heaven watch the tides of life ebb and flow throughout eternity! He would make an excellent collaboration with Steve Vai or more so - Eric Johnson!.
PLEASE tel me what FXs your using pedal, boards etc please! You get such beautiful and unique sounds. Now will that help me be as badass as you never. But by god I can still get creative and have fun!!!
At this point, Manuel can literally summon lost souls himself, and I won't be surprised
0:50 *reacting to the soul unintentionally summoned
@@paulohenriquedossantos7633 thankyou glad someone mentioned, otherwise I was gonna get a panic panic
Who else still comes back to all his old UA-cam songs just to listen to the beautiful sounds he makes?
I do.
Those swip passages in this tone are just astonishing
I feel like this is the background music to an astral projection moment.
I felt the same!
It was like I was in another world
Lucid-djent
That look when the riff hit different 😬
His stank face evolved to "what's that stank" face 0:53
That tone makes me feel like I'm standing in a very cold, completely empty house. Very funky.
that could be very good or very bad
weird, this would be called a warm tone with all the reverb. Odd that you get the opposite from it.

Dude, this song is a reminder on why I'll keep learning playing guitar. 😊
HOW does he get these SOUNDS man
The growth in sound he has had in one year is almost unbelieve .
Hes by far one of the most talented guitarists of our time.
“Please Manuel, i want some more”

Very calming yet virtuosic, love it
This tone is phenomenal 😍

Please let me know how you get that tone!!! I’ve been trying for so long now.
What vst’s are you using if you are using any??
It seems he using the neuraldsp Gojira

holy shit this is amazing man. love the low tones soo much in this one
This is one of the greatest things I’ve heard. Incredible playing and that tone
This dude’s right hand makes most metal rhythm guitarists look kinda silly.
Homie makes most guitarists in general look silly
because rhythem guitar is mostly chords, next time just say you get impressed easily
