There is NO other person, that I know of, that CARES enough to take a very difficult quilt, & brilliantly make it into an easy project. I thank YOU Jenny for your time, your giving us the much looked for Friday's project - and God Bless YOU for making it FREE so that ALL can see it & quilt - very generous of you! Thank you.
Is there a downloadable pattern for this?
What do any of you think about using a layer cake instead of the charm pack I have to make a king size quilt that would make each Cathedral window around 20 in or am I doing this wrong?
I have the fabrics to make this and want to lay out the colored squares in a particular order. The background will be traditional cream color. Can i make the entire background and out it together before placing the colored squares? That seems easier to me than trying to place the squares then putting it together. Does that even make sense? I may be overthinking this.
very very good
Jenny is a very accomplished sewer and she really knows her machine and its capabilities. I am not sure this quilt sandwich thickness would stitch nicely on my machine without lowering the feed dogs and attaching my walking foot. I think I would use a special needle also for going through all these thicknesses. She doesn't make it clear whether or not she is using free motion quilting to finish the quilt with the quilt-as-you-go method. I also think I would use thread designed for free motion quilting andbegin quilting from the center of the piece and I would use spray on basting glue to hold my quilt sandwich together with the pins. I will try this without doing all of that but I don't think my old machine will stitch the thickness of a quilt with out breaking thread and needle. Good Luck this sure is a brillant way of making cathedral windows!!!!.
So smart!👍👍👏👏
Jenny, which side of the flap (the part you fold) do you stitch? The inside or the outside?, in other words, do you leave a kind of loose flap (the one you fold towards the inside) imitating a window where the fabric peeks through or do you stitch on the inside kind of stitching it down altogether and there is no give? I hope you see what I mean. I do appreciate a reply and thank you in advance.
Mind blowing madam so quite 😍😍😍👏👏👏💐
