Hello Keven. The more videos I discover of his, the more I admire him. I try to model their carvings but the white pine from Spain is harder than what they have in the USA. However I keep trying. Greetings. Santander, Spain

Greetings my friend, watching your master piece really gave me lots of fun during the the lockdown. I been watching most of your work. Being one of you admirer I am hoping too see one day that you carve my favorite cartoon idol ......POPEYE.....hehehe.....more power to you
How inspiring you are. Thanks. Makes me want to try "free hand" carving (whittling). I have always carved using a carvers vice and mallet. I intend to free up and enjoy myself trying something new.
Thanks Ron. A knife in one hand and a block of wood in the other is a fun way to go
Incredible art! Thanks for sharing..
Thank you
Uncle Jed would be impressed with your whittling skills, I know I am well done sir.

Just subbed. I like your content! You seem to have a style kinda like Doug's. I like it! I wish I could carve but im bad.
Thank you. It takes lots of practice. You will get better the more you do it
Most carvers cut in one scrole but i coudn't manage too so it's good to see that i am using the same technique as a master carver , cheers Billy H. UK.🌞

Question on the wood is it White pine ? As that has been mentioned as suitable for flat plane / whittling but not sure how to tell it apart from the C3 studding timber at our local diy supply store ... Great work regardless you are a gifted carver.
Another great carving Kevin
Thanks Thomas
Parabéns grande artista!

Cool little guy! Thanks!

@@KevinCoates98 - butt.. why's there nothing the finishing at the last minutes, on thumbnail only?
I carve for a few days and then I paint them. About 6-8 carvings at a time
@@KevinCoates98 charms..
Bravissimo
That was interesting. Did you use the saw because you used a different kind of wood or just to show a different approach to roughout a carving.? Thanks for sharing that with us.
Still using pine. Someone asked to see how I did a rough out. Thanks
Reminds me a little of Pete La Clair.
Awesome
Thanks
Way cool ~~Well done ~~
Thanks Dennis and thanks for the mention on Facebook

Thank you. It’s eastern white pine
They look similar to what my grandfather use to do him and his family the Trigg
Trigg carvings are awesome
При склеивании слишком много клея нанёс, достаточно с одной стороны только намазать ну или если с двух сторон то по немногу..для чего такой перерасход клея.??
Tried making a giraffe in art school like that hmm. Mine not so good but Mom still saved it 😁

what kind of pine is it? I tired carving pine and was pretty hard.
It’s eastern white pine. It’s pretty soft but there are some pines that are hard to work with.
Great job .

No problem. Send me your email
For Gods sake , get a new bandsaw blade . That ones , way past its use by date ...
It’s not a new blade I need. That’s the first use for that blade. It’s a new bandsaw. That one is over 20yrs old and very difficult to get parts for
Your left handed
Yes I am 🤚
Why did you score the wood before gluing? Completely unnecessary step.
Just for a little added security
Well as a woodworker for 30 years, I can tell you you are doing more damage than good. But that’s just my opinion.
The raised fibers created by scratching the wood actually prevent the two pieces from adhering as well as they would if they were left smooth. You want full contact and the raised fibers prevent that.
But since it’s not something that is under stress, it shouldn’t have any effect.
Tu no hases nada más que a vuelos y cuando vas hacer abuelas porque en el mundo hay hombres y mujeres y niños y niñas no te parece maestro
