- This time I tried doing a Stardew Valley Speedrun where I try and get one of the hard to find Stardrops. A lot of people wonder what all the Stardrop locations are, and knowing which ones are the easiest is crucial to make this run work. It defintely isn't the hardest Stardew Valley challenge run that I've done, but it defintiely took a lot of strategizing!

I wonder if an easier way would be to get 2 hearts with Marnie to get Lewis' shorts because if you put them in the display, Lewis automatically gives you 750 star tokens.
Yeah! quartz is a liked gift for marnie + really easy to get in mines so definitely doable
He's probably better off collecting 2000g worth of forage, sleeping, and buying the tickets and buying the stardrop
@@Amsayy nah the star tokens cost 50g each I think so he would have to accumulate like 100,000g in order to buy the tokens up front
Possibly making the trimmed shorts with a staircase in the pants slot and throwing that in there?
In combo with the fishing mini game at the fair since it arguably produces the most tokens each round

Hell the biggest issue is the plural ‘monkeys’ considering the game only has one developer.

the fishing mini game is EXTREMELY underrated, and probably worth getting the fishing rod from willy before. With good consistency, you could get the 2k in 5 turns or less.

Yeah but each game is close to 2 minutes… you would have to spend nearly ten minutes if you played well to get 2k. I think it might be faster to play one slingshot game and do well, you can earn 250-300 with high count and more importantly accuracy then just bet and win like 3 ina row. Which isn’t hard given the skewed odds.
You don't need the fishing rod either!

so basically, sweet gem berry is more consistent, but 2000 star tokens can be waaay faster with just better rng and high roll
Sweet gem berry can also be so much faster with a crop fairy on Spring 1 AND fall 1
Honestly, I'd bet all the way since green wins 3 out of 4 times if I remember correctly, so just don't risk too much and you should be good if your rng doesn't absolutely suck.
@Nuutti Haikola I was doing the fair last night and I noticed it landed consistently on the color based off the bets after trial and error for a bit. Maybe I was just lucky but it did seem like a pattern

Yes but it's a minute each time, (I believe?) he used 7+ on sleeping, that would mean he would have to have like 5 perfect games with absolutely no time loss. Would get him to 12:30 ish minutes at best
But if he got cracked like haboo, he could perfect the slingshot for 500, then gamble twice
Slingshot mini-game is 500 as long as you keep your accuracy at 100+ and score ~75.
I’ve gotten 900+ it’s absolutely amazing
In the middle there when Seanie ran back to the slingshot mini-game, it really felt like a gambler losing after a hot streak and then putting in an application to McDonalds.

right idk why everyone praises the gambling game so much, unless you get super lucky it's too risky. fishing is really quick it only took me like irl 5 minutes to get the points i needed even without winning the fair

You know... If you just stuck to the rule of betting half your current token count every time, I think you would have found more success...
It's a biased system, so as long as you WAIT, the odds will work for you lmao. He kept betting most of his tokens, which means a failure at the wrong time kills your progress before you make it far enough.

Just attempted the same run myself, got a time of 19:19 without doing the slingshot once. I only did the lucky roll. If you're safe with your bets it's not bad.
you could probably do it 10x quicker if you did the fishing game. it’s easy and one game gets you about 400 tokens

A little tip for the slingshot game. Lead your shots. Aim where the targets are going to be, not where they are. so basically aim a little bit past the target in the direction it's moving.

It might be faster to activate the community center, complete the spring foraging bundle and beat the summer crops bundle to get a sprinkler because it saves 11 days of watering

Do the stairs stay as shorts when your character isn’t wearing them? Won’t they just turn back to stairs when you put them in your inventory or the display?

Is there a reason why Seanie/you didn’t do the mines stardrop? I feel like that’s one of the more achievable ones with some luck
While many casual playthroughs get to level 100 of the mines before even getting to fall, it is slower than the options he took. The world record for mines 120 gets to level 100 in about 33 minutes, worst than the worst time in this video.

This is both the funniest and most aggravating speedrun I have ever seen 😂
You always get 50 tokens for your display, but it takes a minute for Lewis to judge it. That means you have to win the spin 6 times. The wheel has 75% for green, so you get 17.7% that it's always green. 9min20sec to start the fair, 1min for Lewis, 6 spins.
You could also skip the display, spend your 500g on 10 tokens, win 10 times (which is only a 5%).
The fishing minigame is the easiest way to get 400 tokens, but takes 1min40sec.
Meaning the optimal strategy is to play the slingshot game (takes as long as Lewis, nets more points). Technically, it's possible to reach 500 points on one go, requiring 2 wins (56%), more realistically you need 3 wins (42%).
Bottom line: You reach the fair at 9m20s, win the slingshot at 10m20s, spend 15s per spin and finish a bit under 11 minutes (or a bit over if you don't get the 500 points). Seems risky, but with 42% chance to win 3 times in a row, you sort of have to go through it.

The betting minigame is a tradeoff between reliability and speed. While green is statistically more likely, that's only significant over a larger number of spins. It's completely possible and not even uncommon to get several orange spins in a row. Betting high means you have the chance to only need to spin once or twice, but any orange spins will screw things for you. Betting low means more spins and you'll have your winnings increase more steadily since a even a few consecutive orange spins won't force you to lower your bet, but it takes more time. In a speedrun, betting high makes sense. You get to the festival, bet as high as you can, if you land an orange, you restart the run, eventually you'll get consecutive greens. In a normal run, betting lower makes more sense, time doesn't pass in the festival and you always leave at the same time, so a safer betting strategy is more beneficial.

i usually do the fishing game and gamble, im good at fishing and you can get around 300 per play of the fishing game pretty easily so its quite fast tbh

Staircases as pants= luises pants
Luis pants->Display=750 star tokens again don’t know if it’s just a bug in my game but it works every year and I get to keep his pants and complete the quest
The staircase pants bug was originally, well, a bug, but CA liked it so much he let it stay as a feature

Another option is planting your parsnips to get extra gambling money, as you are able to buy star tokens.
I wonder if obtaining the rocks to craft a staircase, turning the staircase into shorts, putting them in the display, get disqualified and earn star tokens that way would be a worthwhile strategy. you do have to level up in mining to be able to make a staircase, which might be a hindrance though.

The real strat to the wheel is betting 1 till you get an orange. Then you bet 30-50% of what you have on green. The odds of double orange are very very low.

It seems that hitting multiple targets doesn't give a multiplier outright, but does actually allow for accuracy above 100%.

If you're insanely good at the slingshot minigame, its possible to finish in around 16 minutes and 38 seconds. If you get 100% accuracy with atleast 60 points, you get 500 tokens per game. That means you'll only need to perfect 4 games to get 2000 tokens. And that's only 4 minutes of grinding for the tokens.
