finally, we've found the use for winter
I always planted winter seeds for profits, but Seanie’s method definitely tossed me in the icy ocean waves.
I usually gp fishing during winter because im busy every other season
I just go fishing and mining since I have more time.
I use winter for mining and fishing as well as gift giving. Most of the year I drill out planting crops. Unless it's a rain day
I decorate my farm on winter lol

I’ll never forget the time I tried to do a challenge where I could ONLY do the community center, so I was deleting quests, and deleted the rat problem…. That was the day I learned you can dodge the community center entirely
I wonder what happens if you do that? You just stay on the farm forever and don't have to worry about anything, since the cc is your main goal early-mid game? I kinda wanna do that now tbh, you would bar yourself from progress entierly but have complete freedom

As someone who has only played Stardew valley for only like 2 hours, I appreciate how to do clay farming.

Is joja the dark side? truly? or is supporting the corrupt union of pierre and lewis, the two most evil men in all of stardew, who would let the 99% rot and die for their own personal gain, the true dark side. Should joja and all of it's beuracracy, and it's structure, and it's heavy regulation based mindset, not be allowed to take control from the man who uses taxpayer founds to build golden statues of himself, uses public office to give his love interest a business advantage, and the shop keeper who if not on a leash by said evil mayor woulkd have his own megacorp.
Joja is the light side, the church of lewis and pierre is lying to you hunter.
I wonder what the town thinks seeing a new farmer move in, only to sleep for 3 seasons straight, find forage in the snowy sand, and help flourish the competing company against the town

I like the idea of capitalism in the sense you get to make your own money and not have it tied to the government giving it out. But big corporations cause so many problems that I can see why so many people hate capitalism as a whole

Okay i get that the hundreds of hours for 140k gold is like hyperbole but what is an average amount for like 1 year? I'm mid spring year 2 and have around 400k total earnings and something like 130k currently in my first proper save.

@fie I think he's annoying, he doesn't treat Abigail well imo (she shouldn't sword fight bc she's a girl). He constantly tries to raise prices until people can't afford his stuff. Also the stuff I grow and put in the shipping bin goes to his store, and then he sells that and brags about how well HE grew them. (some things are just how the game works, I just love hating him. It's fun to have an enemy)

I go the joja path because the community center is overwhelming. I feel like i have to complete it in the first year cause everyone else does and it ruins my relaxing farm life. With the joja path i can just do whatever i want and if i want something like the bus i can just buy it
If it helps to know, I finished my community center bundles at the beginning of Year 4!
idk if this helps but i finished the community center winter year 2 and the only reason i finished it that early is because i fell down a rabbit hole of stardew speedruns 😭 i barely touched the community center year 1 and my farm looked like garbage bc i had no idea how to play the game
