Darn, i am just on my way to install my 930 engine and looked at your video So i checked my throttle linkage bushings. One was totally disintegrated. Easy to install new ones while the engine is out. Thanks for the tip.

Glad I saw that pivot, I almost missed it. When I was done, I was sure to check that I got full travel on wide open throttle. Thanks for watching!

Awesome progress. So fun to watch, your so far ahead of me, my engine bottom end is together on the engine stand finally, maybe a week or so pistons and cylinders will be on.

I was so lucky the head studs held together. I think the turbo engines have larger diameter head studs and probably what saved this engine from a case split. I have a 3.2 cab that I will be working on soon and hope I don't have those problems on that car either. Thank you for watching and following my progress!

@@afternoongarage head studs are made from a high expansion steel alloy Dilavar , this vintage has been known to suffer fracture, likely environmental induced stress corrosion cracking. Just keep an ear out for any strange ticking noises. Are you on Pelican forum at all?

I lurk on Pelican. Most everything has been covered already so I find most use it as a reference. Have really enjoyed working on this as the community is very knowledgeable about their cars. Going to see about my 3.2 soon and hopefully good things happen with that car.

I noticed you were using an MSD ignition Box, any issues with the MSD so far?

That ignition box isn't made anymore. It is a boost timing master with the multi spark all in one. You can directly drive a coil with this boost retard controller, and eliminates the need for a separate ignition box like a 6AL or something like that. I was really happy to get this working because there isn't much space in there. Thanks for watching!
