I had to run an errand in Boston today, got soooo lost, drove around and around but I smiled when I gave a wave toward the hospital. :)
112musician 💞💟
112musician that's so sweet
Mary I pray for you and Peter everyday. It's not just because your sick or nice guys!!
It's because the compassion and passion you show for people all over the world. You both are two very very special people!!
It's awesome that you're painting while you're in the hospital! Today during my infusion my cousin brought me a latch work rug to work on!
Did you work on the rug until the benedryl kicked in and then ZZZZZZZZ nighty night Sarah :)
The Frey Life Actually some how I resist sleeping, mg cousin actually brought it for me toward the end of the infusion I'm working on it now, it has Dory from Finding Nemo on it! I love your Mickey Tee shirt it looks like it's stretchy for infusions!
Yes, nice and light :) I got it from Walmart and I knew it would work well for the hospital :)
The Frey Life I wonder if they'll have it still available my Christmas tee shirt that I'm wearing is from Target and it's in Juniors but it's absolutely perfect
Praying your side effects are minimal, Mary. I took some time to stay up last night to pray for you, as I was up all night stressed out, and turned the negative into a positive activity - praying. Hope your day was awesome today. -Quincey
I don't have cf but I have fibromyalgia and chronic pain I love your vlogs...and you make me stronger. Mary and Peter you are awesome! And Ollie boy
I have the same Deanna. And I love Mary and Peter as well, they inspire me and they also help me realize I'm not alone. Like the other day when it took all of Mary's energy to get to her car, I know exactly what that's like. Take care
Brandi Thomason please add me on fb same name
That little train robot is so cute!
There is nothing like NPO testing in the morning to put a scowl on my face! ;). I'm so glad you aren't reacting, and I pray that little temp is a sign your body is fighting these buggers! World Vision is a great organization, we've partnered with them many times! Right now we've committed to 2 Haitian children at the orphanage our daughter has volunteered at the last 2 yrs. (She left a large part of her heart in Haiti!). It's so life giving to help these kiddos out! That's a great idea to supplement your monthly giving with an extra boost at Christmastime, too! :). Now, as far as squeezing almost 95,000 people into that little room, the least the hospital can do is bring in a double bed from the B&W Hospital next door! LOL!! You give them great publicity after all! ;).
oh how lovely. World Vision has such a high reputation. My daughter lives in South Africa. As part of her living there, to indeed be able to live there, she supports a maternity hospital. Before, the hospitals outreach units (small clinics?) sometimes sent the babies home wrapped in newspapers. To live there, and she knows indeed how blessed she is, she gives to this hospital and... things are better. Also, she teaches people to KNIT. Which isn't as big a deal there as it is HERE. But her maid (you have a maid, it helps them survive), now not only knits for her family, but teaches knitting and charges! And, she buys yarn from a small farm in SA...and it's a whole circle. Not just giving but giving what people need to do better. World Vision also does that. What does a family need to survive? Not "here have a meal" but, "let's help you make a meal." I'm putting it poorly, but it's considered giving. That lasts beyond the initial gift.
Kitty Mervine You mean like, a gift that keeps giving? Like, if you give a guy a fish, he eats for one day, and if you teach him how to fish he will eat for a lifetime kind of thing. I think that's really cool.
yes, like a pot for cooking, rather than just "here's some food, eat one meal." And perhaps farm implements, and certainly an animal... for a small home farm. I will say our church did this, but my Sunday school class was very small so we only raised enough for a guinea pig, and I couldn't do that (I have had them as pets)... so I chipped in for a chicken!
Art is a great tool to get through hard times, I like working on my bullet journal, my UA-cam channel, and knit when I'm feeling anxious or stressed :)
I'm a coffee addict too. It just tastes good! Your hard work and generosity is always inspiring. I actually just started training a service dog for myself, and that spice painting is so cute! Sending lots of love to all 3 of you!
I wish I had the funds to support a child. This organization seems to utilize their funds well. I will be seeing if I can at least purchase some supplies for a family. Thank you so much for sharing!
Thanks! She's 3 but she naturally developed the "work" part without any assistance. I didn't know she'd end up being my service dog as I am on a waiting list that lasts years!. Now it's just fine tuning manners and she's a calm, relaxed greyhound all used to loud noises and crowds so I was blessed when she came into my life.
Thank you! And they're about the most mellow breed in general I have seen. You wouldn't think it since they run up to 45mph in 3 strides! They exercise for 10 minutes and then sleep all day!
I'm a huge supporter of world vision! I have sponsored Yorgelys for 12 years now. I also sponsored a second child who just graduated from the program in September because their community project reached their goals!! 😀 I also love their gift catalogue and shop for birthdays and Christmas every year. Thank you for talking about World Vision. 😀
That is awesome Krystle!
Mary when you said that about it not being makeup the old Maybelline song went through my head "maybe she's born with it, maybe it's Maybelline" LOL You were born with it!! Beauty that shines through even when you're in the hospital hooked up to stuff. It is so beautiful to me that because of your love of the Lord and your willingness to make the best of each day because it is a day He has made shines right through you and gives you a natural radiance that no one can "blame" your lungs for!! Praying you do well and your team is able to find a plan that works for you AND that you get to come home soon! Beautiful art. Love that Peter got the memory foam mattress so he can be more comfortable. *hugs*
I've just found the joy of painting, I'm no way near what you are doing but your pictures are very inspiring. I started painting when I was diagnosed with anxiety and it is so relaxing.
I hope you are doing good and that your treatment progresses without any complications 😁💜
I had a rough health day today and then I saw you painted a whale. It's a long story, but whales are what I call "God-Winks," every time I see a whale it just reminds me that God is with me. Kind of like Him saying "we got this! I'm here!" It's funny the random places whales will appear. It made me smile to see your whale today. I needed that! Thanks :)
Mary, Peter, I forgot to mention, that in the video when you were leaving for the hospital, you said " going to the hospital for anyone is stressful and scared, but the time that you feel ok, make the most of that time." Well, my friend, you got me thinking, I also am hospitalized often, and am in pain 24/7...but when I am.i try to make.it less by watching TV or a blog of you and some of my other things I can do to keep my mind off of PAIN! And you know it does help, not that I do not feel pain, but as you say to.us " make the best.of it"!
Hey you guys are such an inspiration, I am so delighted that you are promoting sponsoring a child through world vision, this is a charity very dear to me as I have sponsored many children over the past 20 years. Keep well Mary, I'm loving your artwork..... heart hugs from Ireland 💕💕
how cool, the children's hospital I go to also has those neat robots that go around the hospital. Children hospitals have the coolest things
Oh we LOVE World Vision! Child sponsorship through World Vision has blessed our family so much, and we cannot recommend them enough! So amazing. Helping to transform an entire community!
So glad to hear that!
already sponsor a child through world Vision. has been doing so for like the last 5 or so years. been great seeing her updates over the years and seeing her grow up.
You thank us for coming to the hospital with you!
I say thank you! your endless positivity really makes my day, I just grin my way through your videos.
I got the same kind of gift as you did once. My grandmother gave to a child in need in Africa in my name as a part of my high school graduation gift. I also loved it! To this day I still think it is one of the best gifts I've ever been given
So cool!
I love the whale painting.
As always...A great video... Ollie is so precious.
your amazing at painting!!!! I love how Peter stays with you at the hospital 💟 so so sweet 💗 praying for you Mary that your hospital stay goes well an you get better 😘
So awesome you two sharing about World Vision. I sponsor 6 kids through Compassion International. I got to meet 2 of them so far. My first child, Karla, just graduated the program last month. I sponsored her for 14yrs!!! Sponsorship changes lives!!! The childs and yours!!
That is so awesome that you got to meet a couple of your sponsor children!
Oh Mary! You are so inspiring, even in the hospital. Here you are hooked up to IVs, monitors, doing your PT and you are once again thinking of others and not yourself. You are truly a wonderful soul (and Peter and Ollie) and you amaze me with every video I watch. I love your lights behind you. I wish I could sponsor a child but in the face of dealing with my own health, I am unable to do so. But kudos to those of the Frey Life that can give!! I could go on and on but I'm so blessed to have you guys "in my life" and I hope you get to feeling more like your self! Oh yeah, the tiny tree is adorable and such a good idea. From experience being in the medical field, it helps sooo much to know you're appreciated! And candy is always a good idea!!
That is totally understandable. God uses us in many different ways in the different chapters of life, and I bet you have many people you are pouring love and encouragement into during this chapter. You hang in there!
Thank you!! I love it so much when you guys respond! We all need more Mary and Peters in this world.
And We need more Sarahs in the world!
Mary is a wonderful artist. Hopefully this hospital stay goes well. You two are amazing people.
I don't have CF, but I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and watching your vlogs helps me get through the tougher days, like today. I love seeing you both be so positive through everything. Thanks for making videos, guys :)
EDS buddies!
Azaria Space yeah!
I love that you always think of others, even as you are going through tough times. God bless the Frey Life ❤️️
Get better soon Mary! Love me some Ollie!
It's so cool watching someone go through similar things as me. I'm also in hospital having treatments for my CF. I'm just about managing to do my uni work whilst I'm in hospital but watching you be so positive whilst going through the same thing. Keep doing what you do.
Lots of love from England xx
Hi Georgina! Thanks for saying hi! I remember those days well...Uni and CF...it's NOT easy! And you are a total WARRIOR for doing your best! Keep up the good work of taking the best care of your body that you possibly can! I hope they are bringing you treats while you're in there :)
I would just like to say, that I have been a subscriber for a little while now and I watch the daily videos plus I watch the older videos. The passion and encouragement that you bring out to others is amazing and very uplifting to me. Also, even though unintentional on your part, your found love for watercolors made me just buy a set and I have been trying out some different things, hopefully I get better, and I hope to continue to see more of your beautiful paintings! Thank you Freys for everything you have done for me thus far!
one of our Christmas tradition is to take a family off our church bus and buy gifts and baked items. To give them on Christmas eve.
The beginning intro made me crack up. Peter saying how these were the sounds of the hospital. And Mary ignores it all and days im gonna paint a whale😂😂
Maybe you can find some lights with batteries for the tree! Cute whale 🐳
Hope today is going good 💗
Yes, I live in Canada so I don't know if its the same but the Dollar Tree here has sets of battery operated snowflake lights that would look great on your little tree!
We sponsor two twins named Fabricia and Fabiana in Brazil through World Vision also! They are 10 years old on December 5th. It such an amazing opportunity and I enjoy seeing pictures and letters on how we helping them.
That is awesome! They are about to have a birthday, and how neat that they have friends across the world to celebrate with them!
Love your paintings, your Christmas lights and your big hearts! Just wanted to say my daughter is down with a bad flu and was listening as I watched this video.. and when you said you were feeling feverish she said "me too... we're the same Mom!" and it made her smile :). So THANK YOU for making my girl smile!
Awe, sweet little one. You're not alone :) Hang in there!
One question for youtube, Where is the "Love"button?! Freylife you all
deserve one,and you guys are a blessing,and Mary,I love your drawings,God bless u guys!! =)
So much inspiration. Thanks for spreading the positivity.
I love World Vision! I have ran a 1/2 marathon on 3 separate occasions with our church group for Team World Vision, which is specific to supplying clean drinking water to villages.
I love art because it is all portable to create anywhere. I am recovering from my dental surgery to remove a cracked molar. He had to take it out surgically in two parts and we broke the filling in the tooth beside and a sliver of my jaw again. Watching this is so wonderful! Love you guys! 😁😘💞💖🐬🐋
I hope your recovery goes as smooth as possible! We will keep you company..in video form :)
The Frey Life aww thanks Mary! I am sure it will heal up well. Tricky thing is my immune system can't fight off a simple infection so I am going to have to be extra careful. Plus it slows my healing time. I have you to keep me company, an adorable cat, a cute snake to kiss it better and an awesome boyfriend. Can't go wrong with that! XO. Hope your hospital stay isn't too long.
I am literally bindge watching your channel, i so love you guys! i have alot of medical issues, not CF but alot of other medical issues. And because of it, im losing an eye in a week. i love how full of life you still are. i hope to become like you, my medial brings me down SO MUCH. i love listening to you guys!
Awesome video! Great artwork and beautiful message for sponsoring children. World vision.
You are so talented at water painting Mary! I love the whale
ID docs are amazing. The questions they ask are super personal and some stuff seems unrelated, but for anyone with antibiotic resistant infections or a mystery illness, don't hesitate to see one.
I don't know what else to comment that I haven't already. The way you take each day in the hospital or not is wonderful. You make a better week or so of being in the hospital than many people do at home who are "normal" because they don't have the same appreciation of life that you and Peter do.
Oh Cassidy, thank you. That means so much!
Awesome idea guys !! Here we have an Oxfam shop where you can buy someone a chicken etc for a developing country. Hoping the I.d Dr can come up with a good plan. Cheering you on. Love sonia
Mary, I have a very special request, if you wouldn't mind. A Christmas Ollie with his red coat/vest painting would be awesome! I think it would be a hit.
Wow, what a cool plug! I have been running for the last two years for world vision to give water to people in Africa. And last May I started sponsoring my first child her name is Rihanna she lives in Kenya and she's now 2. I can't tell you the joy I get every time I see a new picture that they send me or a status report it makes me cry with joy to see how good she's doing! Thank you
That is so awesome! I used to cheer for the World Vision team who ran in the Chicago Marathon when I lived there!
The Frey Life I did Chicago marathon last year I only got through half 😢but this year I did a Half marathon. it was meant to be a Half marathon for Worldvision in grand rapids Michigan and me and my daughter got through that one. I have some major health problems so we're going to stick with half marathons from now on but I absolutely love Worldvision they are great people and they don't just talk the talk they walk the walk or run LOL
Mary you are really talented. Your paintings are so cute.
You guys are so inpiring.... my family and I have sponsored children, give to the local food bank and paid for peoples groceries when shopping .. just to help someone that may need the help. We also donate to the SPCA for cats and dogs .....I also love to cook soo I always take cooked food to the local church that does meals for those that need it . This is something ive been doing in lue of gifts for the last few years. Just want to thank you guys for being who you are .. love the vlogs :)
It's amazing what an impact kindness makes on this world!
I hate that you have to go but I'm thankful you guys have each other and can access the things that might help you feel better! keep staying positive and I hope you feel not terrible this time around!
you guys are my favorite youtubers. you give me the strength to push through any hard situation. i just had a baby boy on 11-13 and the whole time i was in the hospital i watched your videos just to lift me up. we were in the hospital for 6 days. baby had jaudice. but watching your videos made me feel so much better because i knew it was going to be okay. i tried to laugh as much as possible. but its hard sometimes. thank you guys for encouraging your viewers and being so positive. much love from ohio 💖
I'm so glad to hear that our videos can bring encouragement!
+ The Frey Life keeping you in my prayers Mary for a quick recovery
Thanks!
I hope You Feel Better soon...I love How You Make Your Room Kinda Homely...And Y'all are always smiling And Making The Beat Of Any Situation.....I Wish Everyone Could Be That Way.....There Is A Special Place In My Heart For Your Family....I Love Watching Your Videos They Make My Day So Much Better💜💜💜💜💜
This is a WONDERFUL opportunity for people to get involved.
As someone who was a foster child and now a nurse who works with homeless people, including many who were former foster children who "age out of the system". Up to 75% of foster youth end up homeless within 2 years of turning 18 when the foster system is no longer required to provide care and foster parents kick them out. If you have an extra room at your dining table this year, please reach out to organizations near you to provide a hot meal and a sense of family to these children who were not given a fair chance through no fault of their own. Most foster care systems do not allow foster youth to acquire employment out of fear that the child will not be within supervision of an approved guardian. Some are lucky and are able to get jobs as teens though. But many are kicked out of foster homes on or after their 18 birthdays with no family, no money, little to no belongings, and no employment history to start off a new life. I would also recommend people look at local VFWs or other veteran organizations. There are many veterans that have to spend holidays along as well. Last, but certainly not least, check out your local senior centers or senior activity organizations. Many of those people are unable to cook meals for themselves and have family living long distances. They would be delighted to be welcomed to a table with giggles, laughter...and pie of course!
Happy Holidays everyone. It doesn't take a lot to make someone's day!
Thank you so so much for sharing a bit of your story, and encouraging people to be kind :)
Mary you are so artistic ♥️ I appreciate both of your relationships with God, thank you for taking a stand and being such an incredible testimony!
Thank You for all that the Frey Life is doing! I am a service dog breeder and trainer. I try to understand as much as I can about the diseases that cause a person to need a service dog so I can train my puppies the most helpful tasks from the beginning to placement an beyond. You both warm my heart and delight me.
I love how creative you are when you're in the hospital your cards in your paintings there so pretty I hope you feel better soon
My husband and I have been sponsoring a child for a couple years actually. We love it.
That is so awesome!
You are an absolutely awesome couple!!! Thanks for the idea on where our family Christmas gifts can go this year.
:) So exciting to think of the impact you can make!
This was the only time I prepacked a bag for my current hospital admission. My PICC Line was infected so I assumed I would be admitted & a surprised MRSA diagnosis. I didn't add my Watercolor pencils crayons but I discovered them when looking for socks. There where only green red and yellow but it kept my mind busy and off the pain. I'm glad someone else likes distraction as much as me. Thanks for helping to keep me going.
Ollie was so cute coming to lie down with you to make sure you're doing alright 💜 keep going Mary, praying your stay is as comfortable as possible (:
Mary, ur paintings are beautiful!! I love love love ur style!! ❤️
Such a talented artist! Praying for you and Peter! Peter, you are such a supportive husband! Stay positive and encouraged!
Thank you for your positive attitude! You are two amazing people. Mary, I hope you get feeling better! I love your art work!
you guys are an inspiration I'm having two surgeries this month and your courage about your condition has given me the strength to realize I'll be okay
You're right! I always tell my patients that the ID docs are simply the antibiotic experts. It's vague but much less scary sounding! I love your painting, it's so good!!
Ah ha, Antibiotic Experts is such a better name!!! They shall now be called the AE docs instead :) I've declared it...that means it's true, right?
Perfect!
Ollie❤❤❤❤❤ such a sweet fur baby . I love the new painting. .very talented👍
I loved today's vlog ! It might sound like an awkward thing to say but the rhythm with the speeded parts and all was super nice to watch ! 😊 My thoughts are with you guys as we are starting Christmas month !!! 😁 I love you guys, all the way from 🇫🇷😘😘 thank you for making me laugh or, at least, smile everyday ! 😊
+The FREY Life, Mary I don't know how you go through this daily.
I have about 6 autoimmune disorders that started at age 32, I will be 52 in February. It's been a little over a month now that I started waking up with a cough like you have. I have too take my husband to and from work. Yesterday it was so bad that I had too pull over to throw up. My lungs and throat hurts so bad by the time it's over. It lasts about two hours after waking. You are such a strong woman and i 👏🏻for your strength and everything you and your husband do for others. One channel I was, they are doing something and all the proceeds too towards Epilepsy, one of the things I have. Very touching too see a lot of UA-camrs doing things for charity's.
I started out with lupus at 32 then fibromyalgia, epilepsy , degenerative Ostia arthritis. I used to be 5' 8". I'm down to 5' 5". I continued working for another 10 years but I just couldn't do it anymore. I loved my job so much and miss it. I worked for BCBS insurance for 14.5 years before I was let go for being sick. I am now on disability now, they only had to go back to my last job because I was there for so long. I really miss working but I have a hard time sleeping and do take naps after I take my husband to work. I found out at age 34 that I had cataracts, I just had them cut out a couple of months ago. Night time driving is awful now.
I commend you Mary, what a wonderful inspiration you are.
God bless you and your beautiful family. Give Ollie a hug from me? What a beautiful special dog you have.
I had thought about getting a service dog for my seizure but mine come on so fast and I have no clue they are coming. I don't have a feeling or a smell like some people get before one.
💞😘💐
My old youth group use to sponsor a child through world vision. We would do the 30 hour famine and collect money to put towards our child and it was really great so it's really cool that you guys are also doing that
Oh that's awssome!
i love watching the both of you, always happy no matter how things are going you give me so much hope thank you
With all You are going through You are so positive and happy You're an inspiration Peter is so sweet always there for You Ollie is great and cute too God Bless You three Merry Christmas
You both are so stinkin' cute. You remind me of my kids. Five kids ages 24,21,20,19 and 12.
I hope they remind you of the 2 that are 19 and 12! ;) I mean because they're the youngest..... I love them and Ollie so much lol. :)
We sponsor a child through World Vision! It is amazing! Love that you are doing this!
That is awesome!
#twinning!! I was also in the hospital yesterday connected to the blood pressure monitor, heart monitor, and oxygen. Lol. It was for a migraine though because they were infusing me with toradol, magnesium, two bags of saline, and zofran. Thank God for zofran.. it's a life saver. I was extremely dehydrated yesterday so I ended up at the er. We ended up leaving at 5am. Long, tiring night. Resting today. I've got chronic migraines and many other chronic illnesses. But i always make the best of it and watching you guys every helps so much with staying positive!! And Mary and Peter, you get some rest too!
I just love you two!! Praying for you Mary!!💜💜💜
Did anyone else give Peter and Mary a high 5 back? *giggles* What a blessing you guys are! Thanks for helping remind me that Christ goes with us wherever we are . . . even to the hospital for tests and meds! Praying for the best possible results from the tests and that the ID doctor will ID (haha . . . I'm so punny!) a new option that you haven't tried yet! :)
Thanks for the High five :)
Also, if you find yourself missing the fall colors, I have several videos of fall trees I took on my phone! Not the best quality but the colors are fun!
I also love my cream with a dash of coffee so no judgments here! Enjoy the things you love, all things considered, there are plenty of worse options then coffee! Hope you feel better Mary. Peter your truly a blessing!
Also Mary those W&N half pan watercolors are my favorite go to ones!
Me too Meggie. DD laughs when I order it!
I loved you painted whale!! I am sending prayers that you get all the help you need during your stay. Xoxox
I have seen an ID doc and they can be a great part of your team :) maybe she will come up with something new to try
Oh my gosh... first you scared me when you said the building shook, I'm assuming everything was ok. then your awesome paintings. I can't wait to purchase. you are so talented and generous. I love your hearts. I will go on the world vision site after I get through this flu bug. ❤❤❤
Yea, I never heard back from the ultrasound tech what that shake was all about, but I'm guessing it was just construction or something. Thanks for your encouragement!
Excellent Vlog! You are both in my prayers in the evenings after I watch - which I have been doing now for several weeks - as always - Blessings to you from Florida!
Thank you so much!
Love you guys and your zest for LIFE! Can't seem to understand why thumbs down..... Life is an amaZING goal of peace, happiness and JOY and HOPE!!!! And you both just exude TRUTH! May the Holy Spirit continue to lead and guide you
Thank you so much!
Thank you for this video. We sponsored little sweet Agnes a three year old from Uganda. Omg I love her so much, we emailed her and are also writing her a letter. Gonna be Praying for her everyday and every time we think of her.
0:16 I love your blanket from home, Mary! And it isn't stamped with the words "Hospital Property" haha ;)
Mary,Peter and of course Ollie boy! it's funny that you have connections with World Vision, because I worked with them in the 80s, I was a phone center operator, one that would call past callers that had given monetary gifts to help, at the time it was for the poor in Ethiopia's hunger/ starvation problem. Yes, it is.a reputable.organization to give and even sponsor a child.
That's so cool!
I participated in World Vision's 30 hour famine last year with my youth group and it was such a cool experience, we raised money for world vision and we went 30 hours without eating so we could understand what it is like for people in other countries that are hungry.
Whats your favorite kind of paint to paint with? Your always so positive when your in the hospital!
I saw this comment down below and I agree. I think you should paint the Christmas tree! (That rhymed lol) I love the sponsee children program. So amazing! 💚
I love love love the new paintings! 🌱🐋💗
Mary, you're a coffee addict like a gilmore girl! Lorelei would be proud.
loved to new paintings, you do a lovely job Mary
its so great you're promoting sponsoring children. very awesome
I think it's amazing what can be done when people show love and kindness to others :) Thanks for your encouragement!
You know how they say that dogs start to look like their owners after a while? Well, Ollie is starting to have a resemblance to Peter! I swear they have some of the same facial expressions and I mean that in the nicest way! I hope you start feeling better, Mary. I've spent a lot of months in hospital and it can be so boring. Painting is a great past-time and you are so talented. God bless!
I love that peter stays with you. My ex husband didn't even visit when I had our daughter.
loved the paintings you did today they made me smile.
Been sponsoring a boy from equador through world vision for over 10 years, love your videos you are an inspiration!!
I love the new art Mary. You are doing great.
