Most drinks on a cruise ship will cost between $9 and $16 with gratuity. That will add up to some serious cash if you are a heavy drinker. If you buy a drink package, it will cost you about $70 a day. That means you need to drink at least 5 drinks a day to make it worth your while. If that doesn't work for you, then this is an easy way to smuggle alcohol on to the ship in plain view. You don't even have to hide it.

There is a tool called a cork remover with 2 flat prongs that go down either side of the cork, you then twist and slowly pull out. They are designed to take out old crumbly corks, but are super easy to use, and dont damage the cork. Worth getting...

you know we brought liqour of course light liqour not dark and put in Liter water bottles.And I packed them in my suitcase and locked it.Had no problem.Even went into DR and got more and mixed it into the Orange drink and walked right back on the ship🤣😝

This is exactly how I did it except I purchased the seals from Amazon for like $5 for 20. You boiled water and put the seal on and dip it in the water and it shrinks up around the bottle. Doesn’t look tampered with at all.

A FANTASTIC, SUPER IMPRESSIVE HOW-TO video. Wow! My compliments. Normally most strategies for smuggling liquor plain suck-and have all been noted by cruise line security. This one, however, is so perfect that security is only going to look at the bottle, maybe check out the color of the insides, the cork, the foil wrap, and then pass it on, assuming they do that much. I would agree that cruise security just don’t have the time or desire to puncture a bottle that looks sealed to see what is inside (maybe on occasion :)). Wow! This has to be the best technique I’ve seen. I would add one thing (he already covered adding food coloring, but I would put some adhesive on the outer wrap foil to make it even more of a hassle for security to open it, and to make them too embarrassed to go through with it, and to be crazy extra careful, create a top layer of wine, below which sits the hard liquor, a non-permeable barrier, such that if they pour a bit out what they will see is just wine (I have no idea how to do this! ). Again, my compliments. THIS is a strategy that would probably work.

@@fixinit Just get an "Ah-So" wine opener. They are fairly inexpensive, you can buy it at Walmart or online. It has two prongs that go on the outside of the cork (between the cork and the glass) and then you twist it out. We use them in the restaurant business for opening older bottles of wine where the cork may fall apart.

@@bushysowavvey the ah-so pulls the corky out without penetrating. Then just push the cork back down with your thumb. Alternatively, you could also just use a cork screw, dont penetrate all the way, then push the cork back down. And place the seal back and you're done

We've never had any issue bringing our own booze using the bladders. We've also bought booze in ports & transferred that into bladders to bring on board. The room stewards absolutely dont care. It never occurred to me to swap out the wine in bottles but I'll be trying that.
Yeah my friends have done wine and add food coloring to liquor. However where do you hide the bladder? Can you hide the bottles in your luggage or they check them? My friends have gotten their wine bottles taken for liquor lol idk how they knew

@@properlybonafidetv7172 I'll admit it wasn't super easy to get the sleeve off, the cork out, or the cork back in. Also was a bit of a hassle getting the corkscrew from room service for some reason. But besides that, it worked flawlessly. I will 100% be using this technique again. Didn't have to worry about getting my liquor confiscated at all.

A word of advice! Do not add any drinks no kind to bottle. It cause bubbles once the cruise inspector shakes the bottle. No bubbles should be found in a real bottle. That’s the only way of determining it not real wine unless they open and sniff, but that won’t happen. They want to get the passengers on the ship quickly.

They have never looked at it. But every port and ship is different so it depends on who’s doing security.

Tried yanking cork out 5 times and it doesn’t work. What am I doing wrong? Is the grocery bag brand new (flat) or used? I wonder if that’s the reason it isn’t working for me.
I guess most cruises do allow alcoholic drinks on board but only drinks that you buy from them which could be much more expensive than the same drinks that you can buy at a conveniance store.
The drink package on my last RCCL cruise was $110 apiece so $220/day times 7= $1540. No frickin' way does that make any sense. We get the soft drink package & boo bourbon. The wine bottle trick works great. I just used screw-top wine with a seal which makes it even easier.

This worked for us, my concern is the color of my whiskey. It is light in a dark bottle. I can tell. What color of food coloring i use to make it darker to go with whiskey color?

@@jonathanhadaway5830 no Disney I always have it in a rolling carry on and they just scan it through they never have opened my bag to inspect the bottles. I even accidently took bottles larger than they allow but I had instacarted it didn't pay attention then when I got on board realized they were too large all 4 of my bottles and they let me through.
18 million was actually quite a small budget. For comparison Terminator 2 was 100 million.

You will have to put it in your checked luggage. I don’t think you’ll be allowed to go through airport security with liquids.

It should be ok. I would be more concerned about them breaking due to rough luggage handlers.
The problem with your idea is that the wine cork is to soft to withstand the higher abv of the rum or whatever hard liquor your putting in so the cork will start to deteriorate and break down within a short time and your product is now tainted.
Trust me, the liquor is consumed way before any deterioration can occur.
This works and no deteriorating. We’ve done this for years.
