I was thinking about being a travel agent because I will be having some free time. What do I need to start that?
We are considering a trip for my family, so I just email you?
Wait did you guys go to Disney Cruise Line
Hey I don't see your roommate of Christmas
One small tip I have is no matter how hot you think it is going to be, always bring a light shawl for your evening dress, and light sweater or zipper hoodie for early morning or at night out on deck or for your day on land. You never know when it will rain, and it can be chilly with cloud cover in the mornings. Even inside the ship can be a bit chilly with the air con.
Great tip-thank you for sharing.
Yep, the tropical weather don't happen until you get to the islands 🤣😂..lol so many think the local weather change after they board the ship...on with the swim wear In cold / chilly weather...lol.. 🤣😂.
Ain't nobody wearing an evening dress these days, trick.
@@bendover7386 that's quite telling...
I brought several of the $1 disposable rain ponchos and We needed them on several excursions.
Man I wish I knew all that 2 months ago when I cruised with RC Oasis of the Seas, my woman got a 4 days as a surprise for less than $800, I thought it was a good deal but at check in we had to put a credit card on file for any expense we incur during the cruise, man short story I walked out at the end with a $700 charge, drinks and gratuity and the tips I gave the bartenders every time they made me a nice drink without realizing they are getting tipped already, but the worst experience was being forced to buy a 24 pack of water for $35, I still have PTSD from that😂🤣
We learned a valuable lesson our first cruise in 2011 that I wish more people understood. We started in Galveston, and the port was fogged in to where we couldn't leave until the next morning. At that point there wasn't enough time to make the scheduled first stop in Jamaica, so they changed our itinerary from Jamaica/Grand Cayman/Cozumel to Grand Cayman/Cozumel/Progresso. The line at Guest Services of people who just wanted to complain about not going to Jamaica was insane! Our lesson was, don't get too attached to specific stops on your cruise, because they can change due to forces beyond the cruise line's control.
oh wow, yes and they cover themselves in the fine print.
Progresso Florida?
@@ConcietedMuchXD Progresso Mexico.
@@LifeWithUsTV And if they can’t make a specific port, Carnival will just give you Sea Credit per passenger and you have extra day at sea. Our credit was $50, we missed Cozumel. All cruise lines can nickel and dime you if you are not careful. We prefer all inclusive now.
I couldn't find the information on the travel agency....I'm looking
With all the bad news we see on television, you two are truly a breath of fresh air. Even if a person has no desire to take a cruise, I recommend your videos just to lift their spirit. Truly enjoyed you two. Thanks for the smiles and laughs.
aww thank you
@@LifeWithUsTV I agree with her a breath of fresh air ♥️♥️♥️♥️
We are going on our first cruise, so I started looking for resources to help get an idea of what to expect. I stumbled on your channel and spent a whole off day watching your episodes! You guys aren't just a wealth of information, you're hilarious! Thank you for what you do... I'll be watching y'all several times before embarkation day in December!
Aww glad to help
Yep that's what I'm doing now, hopefully 1st Cruise in Oct
Thank God my cousin had been on multiple cruises before the family’s first trip together. She schooled to everything you guys covered. Pre buy your water, use your phone for pictures, eat in the dining room because you paid for it, pack light, get wifi package, tip at the end of the cruise.
Yayyyy, that’s wassup
Im sorry, maybe I missed this part, why is the "pay tips at the end of your cruise" for? Please and thank you!
ESPECIALLY PACK LIGHT!!!! My first time i literally had palazo pants and tshits... best thing ever 😆
So why pay tips at the end and how do you do that ? Since they want us to pay $250.00 ahead of time .
@@jeramygrajiola1544 it’s been a while since my initial cruise, I remember her saying that the cruise line splits the money between all the workers. I just remember following her to the desk and repeating what she said. I tipped the individuals who made sure my dinner was served, bags were brought to the room and taken down and cleaned the room. I can say that each time I went on a cruise that’s what I’ve always done.
I’m not sure how things are now after covid because I haven’t gone on a cruise.
Take a carry on bag with things you may need for the next few hours like sunblock, swim wear, etc. because your luggage may get to your cabins into the evening hours.
You can change your gratuity amount also. You don’t have to settle for the amount they generate.
I love you guys spirit and chemistry! My husband and I are going on our second cruise in 60 days! Your videos still taught me so much more. ...it's so much to learn lol
Even tho I had a travel agent I still researched for at least 6 months out. I joined all the groups I could. I also used GOOGLE to no end. So my family's 1st cruise (2011) was great! We haven't stop since. I have been able to convince friends and family to cruise as well.
You guys are so relatable! I’ve been watching a bunch of videos looking into cruises. Not being super financially secure and sharing your experience is super helpful thank you!
🥰
As a new travel agent & new to cruising, I loveee how helpful & informative y’all content is!! & I love y’all energy!!! Thank you!!!! & I wanna hear y’all story of y’all first cruise!!
Love the energy!! Thank y’all for this, I take my first cruise next week. I’m so excited
Thank you guys for sharing your knowledge. I’ve been on 9 cruises, but love to watch videos like yours to see other perspectives and learn some things I may not have experienced.
Balcony is the only way to go, such as (Deck 9 center of ship) !
I've planned two cruises for me and three to four other people twice and done one cruise through a travel agent. The travel agent experience was so frustrating because I didn't feel in control of anything, didn't have access to things, and had to go through another person when I could just do it myself. I could see the benefit though if you aren't good with research or used to planning.
Our first every cruise is on the carnival Valor on the 26th. We've got 2 excursions booked, Bubblies for the kids and are so stupid excited. I really appreciate y'all and these videos.
I feel y’all. My first cruise was in 2011 and my then husband and I spent soooo much…But on my next cruise--I barely spent money. What a difference the first cruise makes!
Same lol
I literally just made a group for Carnival and yall just saved me from making a few mistakes! I'm so glad i stumbled across yall!!!
We love all your tips and videos. I just booked our cruise-last night (2nd time but 1st on Carnival) for Aug. We're so excited! It's been a while, 2011 was the last one. Thanks for all the tips!!!
My first cruise is 2023 on the Jubilee transatlantic. But I've been all over the world, and I'm a massive planner! I learn key phrases in every language, I download or print maps, know where the embassy is...you name it. I know more than my guides.
As a veteran cruiser we found that purchasing the Faster To The Fun pass was worth it. We kinda explore ports of call on our own because we've been to many, so many times. Always research ports of call prior to cruise and if you want to book an excursion do it ASAP. Also set your watch with the ship clock if you go off exploring on your own. Haven't cruised since the pandemic so it would be great to back out there. Great video! And I enjoy trying the specialty restaurants on board. Fahrenheit 555 was really nice.
They stopped faster to the fun :( i’m so sad!
@@biancaboyer4412 NOOOOOO!!!!! 😭😭😭 Is there anything similar? We haven't cruised since the pandemic and we are not up to date with all of the changes. Wow. I can't believe they got rid of faster to the fun! Smh.
My 1st time cruising mistake was paying too much, due to a travel buddy wanting a balcony room. I could have stayed in a cheaper room because I was hardly in it!
Thanks for these tips ! First family Cruise this April! I've been watching all of your videos and you both are so helpful ☺️
Thank you
I wish I had seen your videos before booking my cruise. We went through a carnival cruise travel agent. I specifically told her that I wanted a room in the middle of the ship because I read that was the best place to avoid morning sickness and my husband gets motion sickness. I just saw that our rooms are will be assigned at a later date. I thought with it being our first cruise it would be best to book with Carnivals own agents, but not I'm starting to have regrets. Thank you for your videos.
My wife is going on her very 1st cruise on December 18, 2023 in Galveston. This will be my 3rd, but I'm learning so much. We will be prepared. God Bless you both.
Loved this! I love making recaps of my carnival cruise vacations. It truly helps people have the best experiences when they know what to expect. Keep going 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Absolutely
I would love to see your videos. Where do I go to see your video?
One other tip is, I know it isn't always economically feasible for everyone but the money for a room with a window is extremely well worth it. I stayed in a windowless cabin and although it was nice I felt boxed in. Also for souvenirs look at the itinerary for sale spots like the 15$ sales. Remember you can always walk away if a price is too much and Remember the drink waiters are offering as if they are free are NOT free sadly. Friend took a birthday shot because the guy acted like it was free. He was mad, I paid for it for him but he learned.
I took my first cruise a few weeks ago and I saved a lot of money by following your advice. THANKS
Going on my first Carnival Cruise next month and you guys helped A LOTTTT, thank you!!!!
I would also suggest that if you’re going to a port in a different state to leave a day before just in case they’re any delays getting there especially if you are flying there. I’ve heard stories of people not making the cruise because of it.
🤗I absolutely love your content! Hubby & I just booked our very first cruise, it'll be a 7-day in Aug '23. So excited, nervous & definitely overwhelmed, but you guys provide such good info.. Im sure we'll be well prepared before we sail... Thank you🙌🏾🥰🛟
This is an awesome video!! You both are so relatable!! Good warnings! I’m going on my first Carnival cruise in April 2023.
I swear this my second video watching of y'all. I love the chemistry and just love the videos you all have. Me and my husband going on our first cruise in August and we are so excited. Thanks for these videos!
Thank you so much!!
Thank you guys for this video. Representation matters and I'm more confident in taking my family on this cruise.
You both are awesome! I laughed so hard. I have another one. Don't book a cruise during Hurricane Season. The low price is enticing, but don't do it... There was a hurricane en route during our cruise through the Carribean. We skipped a port of call, and our cruise ship became a speed boat!
My friends and I are planning our first cruise for July and I love the advice so much!!
Thank you all! This was easy to watch and very informative 👍❤️
Hilarious story. I've had a similar situation on my first carnival cruise as well. It was definitely a live and learn experience. My wife and I still love traveling with carnival.
I love how real you are! ❤Thank you. This is our first 7 fast cruise ❤
We are going on our first cruise December 26,and your videos are pretty much the cruising Bible to me.Thank you all so much for doing these.
Aww we appreciate that
OMG I enjoyed this video so much 😭
I was lucky, my 1st Cruise I had a cousin that worked for Carnival. So I knew about all of these things you guys mentioned especially the gratuity!
Thank you so much for this video! Going on my first cruise next month and definitely needed some advice and tips. I appreciate it!!!! 😊
Going on a cruise for the first time with my fiancé’s family!! This is exciting to watch and very helpful thank you so much for the tips. I will also be watching your most updated video after this.🥂
#8 &9
Harmony of the Sea (RC). That additional gratuity blew my mind. The drink package for two was $1200. It will be another ten years before we go on another cruise much less a 7 day cruise. They are making the money back from the COVID-19 hit.
I went on my first cruise ever last month actually May 2022 in terrified of big ships but it was actually a really fun experience we left from Galveston Tx and went to a few different places. We got a nice beach excursion at one of the ports, but I got so sunburnt that it made me sick and yes I applied sunscreen. Also, y’all were 100% right we picked the wrong room! We moved around so much every night, the whole 7 days so I definitely got see sick and was miserable for a Marjory of the time. The worst part was when we got home I experienced vertigo like symptoms and had a double ear infection. I also tested positive with covid which was crazy because I was negative right before the trip! We still have a great time with my fiancés family and in the end I got engaged while on the cruise so I will never forget that experience! We had such a good time we booked another one already.
Oh wow, congrats on the engagement thou
My son and I were going on a cruise with family and it got canceled due to Covid a year ago. They rescheduled for this August. Congratulations on your engagement 💍🎉🥂
Thanks so much for being here for us ! I look forward to my first cruise.🤪
My husband and I been together 12 years 6 kids … a cruise is one thing we really want to do omg just waiting on our blessing I love these informative videos
This is so helpful! I'm planning my first carnival cruise in September, I'll definitely keep these things in mind
Or hire me 👌🏾
My wife and I have been on a few cruises and feel like we're still learning the it's and outs of cruising. We would live to hear your first cruise story😊
It’s up 🥰
You two are so fun and awesome! Thanks for all of the information.
I want the story!!! Thanks for sharing your wealth of knowledge! It’s amazing to see beautiful melanin folks like me!♥️💪🏾
My 1st cruise was through a travel agent and it was worth it! My advise, all 1st time cruisers should book through a travel agent. They know more than what the website shows and they can throw in a discount sometimes, too. Great informative vlog as always and please tell us the story of you guys 1st cruise! Much love, family ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for sharing!
My biggest mistake was not going through a Travel Agent .
ty so much
❤
I booked through an agent and I feel like she's done nothing for me but book the trip. What else should she be helping with?
I never comment on UA-cam but i had to say Thank you!!! My wife and I are going on our first cruise this weekend and We were lost until i discovered yalls channel. This is like the Cruise Bible that i didn’t know i needed until i needed it. so once again… THANK YOU!!!!
Aww thank you. Have fun y’all
Excursions are so much fun.
I was able to scratch several items off my bucket list.
Para sailing,. climbing a pyramid and many others.
I love that you guys like to talk I feel like I am on FaceTime with y’all!! I’m going in July thanks for making this video and can’t wait to watch the others
Going on my first cruise ever Juneteenth weekend! So excited!
I would like to hear the story of your first Carnival Cruise
My first cruise was. RC 4 day. There were 4 of us in an interior cabin, on probably the second deck, at the front of the ship. When ever the ship set sail, or docked we knew. We had an absolute ball. We didn't know any better. 😁
Your information was so appreciated and right in!!!!we enjoyed our first cruise!!!
I am taking my family for Christmas this year, and I keep sending my husband y'all videos🤣🤣 thank you
My wife and I are looking at going on our first ever cruise, was looking at the Carnival out of New Orleans this January. Great video! Looks like we will learn a lot from you!
First time coming across this channel and I love yall already!! Just booked my first Carnival Cruise for this coming Dec and my mind is totally blown! I've been doing research but I gotta go back to the drawing board! Lol Thank you so much for sharing your experiences!
Is it cheaper in December?
@@lela2216 Depends on the dates you want to travel. The closer to Christmas or New Year's, the more expensive. As for me, I have a certificate that took off $100+ of the cost.
Loved your commentary and information! Thank you!
Listen… when I say I appreciate you keeping it real! 💯👏🏾 I should of watched this before I booked. Leaving next week.. but thank you thank you. You’re a blessing. That’s true price if the cruise is something else… 🤦🏾♀️
My first cruise is coming up in May . I’m so excited and these videos are definitely coming in handy
What cruise are you attending ? I am trying to go as well
I just want to say I love your content and keep up the great work, Black Love! 💕 I started cruising in 1999 & I'm currently a platinum VIFP cruiser on Carnival. There's two tips I would like to add for your subscribers. The tipping charged toward the end on your Sail-n-sign card is for (3) people. The person cleaning your cabin daily (Room Steward), the Waiter & the Bus Person in the dining room. Like you mentioned everyone else who brings you a drink, the gratuity is already there. In the dining room, if you want to order everything on the menu, you can! If you want 5 lobsters & a steak (or 2), just let your waiter know how many you want when you put in your order. Their idea is, "Your wish is my command!" I hope the info was helpful & enjoy family! 😉
OH yes about the dining room menu, we made this mistake on our 1st cruise in 2011. We didn't know that you can order more than one item, we thought one per person 😂, we learned this on the last night when we said to our waitress that the food was so good and she said if you want more than one you can order more 😳.
Same thing happened to me. Didn't know I could have had more than o e lobster tail. That was over 10 years ago and I still kick myself...smh
@@828columbia 🤣🤣🤣
Awesome tips thank you
Cool couple. Good advice for newbies. Great personalities and presence.
I love this! i planned my first cruise for my children and I. This was so helpful. Thank you.
Thank you
Best video about the first time do's and don'ts for cruise ship vacations. I love your energy! You guys had me laughing with your stories! By the way, my friends are trying to get me to go on my first ever cruise in about 6 months. I'm not sure yet, but might have to consider after watching your video. Thanks!
Cute couple! Loved the presentation and tips! Thank you.
I can't even begin with this video. I will take my first cruise and on Carnival next year and have been doing research. Almost EVERYTHING they covered I have learned and felt like they were talking directly to me! Lol. Even the $500 . Thank you for sharing.
I'm loving the cruise tips!!
Thank you
I absolutely enjoy watching your videos. I have cruised a few times and booked several myself. But your videos still show me things I didnt do or think about. Your banter is a breath of fresh air. Looking forward to seeing more videos from you guys. (Looking into becoming a travel agent myself so I can cruise more!!!
🥰🥰
I love ya'll; thanks for the info. My hubby and I are going on our first cruise in August. I really enjoyed the INFO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank y'all
Very informative..
A Travel agent really is the key to working through all of this!
Excellent job with the cruise information. I too enjoy Carnival cruises I’m about to go on my 5th cruise May 2022. Love your energy
I gotta hear all the adventures you had on your 1st cruise and how badly it went. Not to laugh at you but to learn from your mistakes. I'm totally new to the cruise scene (I've always been a Vegas man myself). You guys are fun to listen to - so grounded and compatible! I look forward to more videos as I continue down this road.
It was epic (not in a good way lol). ua-cam.com/video/xnfZI4-2_qc/v-deo.html
Leaving for my cruise Sunday. Thanks for the tips!
Have fun!
Thank God I have a Travel agent and have had an amazing travel agent since the beginning of our journey. I'm in my 30s and my husband and I are going on our first cruise we both have vertigo and I can't tell u why but at the last minute I upgraded my cabin to a middle cabin and since I am also claustrophobic so a window was a must. We're going with a group so there will be excursions and my husband wants to partake while I'm content with staying in the cabin or on the cruise so I guess we gonna see fingers crossed wish us luck! 🤞❤❤❤
you can always talk to your doctor about scopolomine patches, they last about 3 days, and prevent sea sickness, instead of using CVS brand motion sickness pills.
Benadryl will suffice per my doctor. It definitely did the job.
@@godislove9273 I forgot I posted this, man... after coming back from that cruise with those patches I got vertigo really bad for 3 months... I'm not sure if it was the patches or old age... but it sucked.
You guys are hilarious! We are going on our first cruise in December, and I can't stop watching your videos! Great advice, especially about the check-in time! Everyone else says "earliest available." but I think I will follow your advice!!
Definitely want to hear the story! Great information!
You two are so fun to watch! I love the way you play off of each other, and I’d love to hear your horror story.
You both hit on a very important point. I yell people that they need to know the total cost of the trip. I prepay gratuities and pre buy internet as well as send water to the room. I also have keabred I can bring a carry on that is extra with chips and cookies for my kids so they don't get the 6.99 can of pringles again. Also great hit on the fact gratuities are already on bar service and other items. Most people don't know. Thanks for the laughs.
You guys are goals. I just see real love through you guys !
Excellent advice. Thanks 🥰
I wanna know the First Cruise deets! We were good and green and country/project-ish on ours. Great tips!!
We just did it our self. We reach everything to bring and what cabin to book
great tips. we love carnival thanks
OMG love you guys, going on my first cruise in Oct on the Panorama, and your video was very helpful.
I picked up a cabin on the front of the ship on purpose, in the 2nd lowest deck. I wanted to feel the ship and wasn't disappointed. If motion bothers you, center cabin, highest deck you can afford. Also, wear a bathing suit on embarkation day. That way you can enjoy the pools while everyone else is walking around, getting to know the ship.
Great tips. You can buy a lot of that stuff on the boat but it’s much more expensive. I’ve got my 6th cruise coming up and am a lot older than my prior ones. I’ve been to the countries before so this time, except maybe stepping off the boat in Cozumel for some shopping (everything is right there off the pier) I’m staying on the boat to enjoy the less crowded time while others explore, though going to the beach is tempting.
You guys have great chemistry. I enjoy your videos. Thanks for the information.
Great info!!!! Thank you so much!
My first cruise was with my bf at the time (we were very young and very broke). We choose the absolute cheapest room
possible (this was also in 2002 when ships were smaller) - we made a very bad cabin choice and seas were rough. It was not pretty.
