Oh honey, tramps like us
Baby, we were born to run
Come on with me, tramps like us
Baby, we were born to run

The existence of this footage is a sheer miracle. This was Bruce's first concert overseas! Thank you for uploading the entire concert dvd, it's absolutely great! And after 45 years Bruce is STILL ROCKING!!!
How... Do you know about this.
Who updated?
Bruce would control I imagine. I think he said he did alot of work during quarantine.
Wanna know why wout, it’s cus he the boss 💪
Too bad we dont have any footage from the Bottom Line shows, which were amazing. Those shows solidified him as one of the best live acts and rocketed him to stardom.
I've not been able to find this dvd. Is it available?
I was a 20 year old American college student studying in Bath, England in the Fall of 1975 and hitchhiked with 2 friends to London (Hammersmith) to the Odeon for this concert. My mind, and everyone else's there that night, was blown by this performance and the entire 4 hour concert --maybe the greatest live performance by any band ever. By the way, didn't get back to Bath (2 hours west of Hammersmith) until 9 AM the next morning! 🙂 Bruce was and still is the God of Rock!
4 hours in 1975 😯
what an awesome experience. I am around that age and I can't imagine how fun that must of been
In May I failed 6 subjects. Then I listened this song and encouraged me to study. I passed everything in June. Thanks Boss, always with u!
1991 same with me!! Congratulations
@@jesusluismartin7115 gracias!
Congratulations !!
See!
Why do you have to bring up school on a rock video no one cares what you failed or passed can’t you just shut up and listen to the music lol you annoying sob
Hammersmith's Odeon in England. Springsteen at his finest. He was facing a lawsuit that kept him out of the studio for 3 years.
So he had to perform and record albums live.
"Trapped" was another song he recorded live.
The saviour of rock n roll.
the serpico period
How could anyone ever tire of listening to the single GREATEST ROCK SONG EVER WRITTEN?
Wrong video, man. This ain't Thunder Road.
Yeah, thunder road is the best. This is a closer number 2 tho
Born to Run..... #1
Thought Badlands was the greatest song of all time!.
But I suppose if you add The River and Darkness you are allowed 5 greatest songs all time. But Jungleland? Oh my god, my funeral is gonna be a long one like Bruce's concerts.
@@saintdave4980 they're all good. To be honest, they all move you differently and the different versions too. Listen to promise land, slow and acoustic. It's hits you deep. There is no wrong answer
One Christmas, I do not know the year, Bruce's mother bought him a used electric guitar. It cost $60. As Bruce said "it was a huge show of faith. I don't think I had ever seen $60 in one persons hand at one time". God Bless his mom for allowing and supporting Bruce on his journey. I am 31 years old, and love love love this man and his music!!!
The Boss was going for the “greatest rock ’n’ roll record ever” and who’s to say he didn’t pull it off?
A blend of innuendo - “strap your hands across my engines” - runaway sax from Clarence Clemons and full Wall Of Sound cacophony from the E Street Band, ‘Born To Run’ is a chest-bursting tour de force that even survived a Frankie Goes To Hollywood cover.
Not to mention a truly brilliantly developed and robust bridge, featuring an iconic sax solo, a beautifully melancholic lyric describing several scenes against a modern fairy tale metropolis backdrop, and culminating with one hell of a syncopated crescendo, and the key change back into the third verse evokes such a magical and triumphant feeling, it really is a testament to the power of brilliant song writing. An immaculate composition
I saw these guys perform on Long Island in 1975. Bruce was so new on the scene that his name was misspelled as Springstein on the ticket. I still possess the stub, and no it ain't for sale.
I was there that evening and it was the start of a journey for the 23 year old I was then, now I’m almost 68 years old and the journey goes on....... thanks Bruce and the E street Band, those still with us and those like Clarence and Danny who have passed on.
I was three months old when you were in that audience. I like to think that if my mom had the dough, she would have flown me there to see it.
Ray, was the first night or second?
you very lucky man
wow ...
Beautiful!
First heard this on the radio at 15 and played it 3 times a day. At the end of a week my acne cleared up, had a Mopar, Harley, and a model girlfriend named Wendy thanks Boss 🤟
In his autobiography he said he wigged out on stage and completely dissociated just from nerves. Think the fact that this performance was basically muscle memory makes it even better
In 1990 my dad played this in his F150 down the NJ shore. He died in prison. I always come back here. 😢ty for keeping this relevant
I’m so sorry for your loss .. I hope you are doing well ❤
This was the first vinyl I ever bought. I bugged my mom to take me for 3 weeks till she caved, and that's when she fell in love with brucie! Lol
Will Bruce come by eventually and read the comments? :) He must have the dimension of the immensity of lives that he inspired and inspires with his songs. And to think that it was Elvis' debut appearance on TV that inspired The Boss to (his mother) rent a guitar and thus Bruce's first public "performance" was born and he was bitten by that magical music bug and here we are, I, in my 30's, got goosebumps from the strength of this song.
Showing my ignorance here, but I had no idea this song was from 1975...
I thought it was much later.
Way ahead of the American rock sound.
Or maybe it was he who invented it!
One of a kind is Mr Springsteen.
This is why he can play for 4 hours. Cause this man is the legend of Rock! Here at 25 was hungry of music
Roy Bittan so good on the piano.
I can't belive that this was almost fifty years ago!
LIVED. 600 yards from the Odeon . ( Then it Was a cinema. USED TO BE OUR PLAY GROUND AS KID,S. THE MANAGER. COULD NEVER UNDERSTAND HOW WE ALL WAY,S GOT IN ., IN THE. SEVENTIES. They Half Turned It into. a. Venue. ( GREAT TIMING. FOR ME & MATES. AS WE WHERE TEENAGER,S , SAW MANNY TO GIG,G . BOWIE ,,BRUCE , BILLY PAUL. SANTANA , ETC , .
Every version of every song they performed at this concert is just spectacular
My dad was the biggest Bruce fan u could ever meet. This song motivates my to show him how grateful I am for what he’s given me. Greatest musician ever!!!
It's very nice and cool watch The Boss very young on stage!
I was lucky enough to go both nights and he blew the roof of the odeon no one comes close
I was at Wembley 1986 when he did an acoustic version of Born to Run he brought 80;000 people together it was like a religious rock experience. It was July 4th so The Boss did a powerful version of Independence Day. I had boot leg tapes of one of his Wembley nights listened to them hundreds of times until the tapes wore out.
1988 Tunnel of love tour 25th June. when he did acoustic B.T.R (didn't tour 1986 )
acoustic Independence Day was 4/7/85
Must have been 1985 definitely not 1988 thanks for clarification
I think that I may have heard this song before it was released at The Tower Theater in Upper Darby Pa.
Boy did we dance that night. Been dancing ever since. Thank you Bruce!
Bruce's early work is superb. His writing comes from life experience and is gritty pure Americana. You can tell he was respected by musicians by the calibre of his amazing band. Ah to be so good so young (26 here)!!
Absolutely hated this song in the 1980s.......absolutely LOVE it now
so gorgeous. i remember being shocked in later years when Bruce Springsteen started bulking up. he's reinvented himself so many times-and is truly the master. but skinny scraggly Bruce will always be my first and true love.
the perfect song
Effortlessly cool.
If one could wish to be at a certain place in time, this would be it for me. To see Springsteen perform live is to drink for the fountain of youth but this would be bathing in the damn thing.
45 years baby!
THIS MUST BE BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN'S BOB MARLEY DAY'S
Before Bob Marley became known
Seeing this, 41 years after seeing the band for the first time in Baton Rouge, La, is like sitting on a beach on a beautiful day and feeling all is right with the world. Even after 9/11, seeing Bruce and the E Street Band on the Rising tour,,,,,,,it helped me, and others, I'm sure, bring some sanity to our often insane world
One of the strongest and prettiest song I ever listenned in my life. Thank you Bruce.
Jersey, baby, pure Jersey. As in New.
If I had a time machine my first stop would be Hammersmith Odeon 1975.
How I sometimes feel when I see these videos of young Bruce
“The Welsh have a word for the unattainable yearning you feel for a place that no longer exists, or to which you can never return.
*Hiraeth* is a homesickness you feel when home is years ago and far away, if it ever existed at all.
Angela Crispino Mannion Galician people in Spain are Celtic people too and call that sentiment” morriña”, which is a Galician word. In the Middle- Ages, Galician-Portuguese was the same language as part of the same kingdom.
Paradise lost.
Feeling this deeply Angela, thank you for sharing!!
only we welsh have that special word and it means so much we dont use it often only for the special times and people
I suffer from that. Thankfully, it was real.
Yes, Born to Run...that song has been around for so many years...the album...I can't even believe that this is the artist I've known for a year...I never wanted to wear a cap...that's what I had back then know...
Wow.. after watching this many times and reading all the comments I can only conclude that this was a true part of Rock n Roll history!!
FAVORITE SONG EVER! I'VE HEARD EVERY VERSION, EVEN THOSE BY BRUCE HIMSELF; AND, I HAVE TO SAY THIS IS THE FASTEST PERFORMANCE BY THE ENTIRE BAND I'VE EVER HEARD! DAMN!!
He was in a hurry in this show. He felt he had a lot to prove, and was angry that CBS UK had hyped him to the max and put up the "I've seen the future of rock & roll" posters everywhere.
@@originalkk882 Wow. Well The Boss got what isn't even the last laugh! He's going strong, puts on one helluva great concert (RIP Clarence)! Oh, he also makes more than CBS & their employees combined! Thanks for the info!
165 bpm average - album version 148 bpm average - giving London a good lashing :)
Yeah. It's almost punk like in its speed & anger.
Yes Beautiful Exeptional is Dear Bruce Springsteen and More
Great he is
Still good even better ...today ...As,Always
The Best is Dear Bruce Springteen and More of all over the world.
this song will never grow old ... ♥♥♥
But the lyrics should be changed. Trumps like us, baby we were born to ruin!

I LOVE The BOSS!! 1,2,3 baby WE were born 2 RUN!!
I have this whole show on a DVD and cd set with book. Great listen , raw.
Can't begin to imagine what it would have been like to be in the audience at this gig
One of my regrets. Could have gone.
Born to run played all summer long in 1975 at sleep away camp in the pocono mountains in Pennsylvania on one of my two counselors am/fm transistor radios during rest hour right after lunch. I was eight years old and some of the best memories I ever had flipping baseball cards with my bunk mates, buying candy bars from the daily canteen camper who stopped by each day while the lyrics “Just wrap your legs 'round these velvet rims and strap your hands across my engines” burned in my mind . I didn’t understand the sexual connotation then but somehow it still got me revved up and looking forward to the socials with the girls camp down the way. Every time I hear born to run it takes me back to an innocent time. Thanks for the memories Bruce:)
Just fucking legendary. The Boss in full flight.
Reading Bruce own words about this gig right now. As he was doing it he thought it was one of his worst performance up until that time. Seeing the video it's hard to have the same judgement. It's fantastic!
Just read the same chapter in his book and had to watch the whole concert. It's amazing :)
Got the book for Christmas last year , guess it’s time to have a read . Thanks
SOUNDS BOSSY!
The best live version of BTR. Just brilliant.
Springsteen is the greatest of all time as far as I am concerned.
God I love those hats and love Springsteen with the wool hat and earrings
Wow. Man, that's awesome!
what can I add,,,,,the greatest!
Amazingly the first time I heard this song it was the Frankie version (a great cover too). I was in awe. I thought it was theirs. I was maybe 13 years old or something like that. It was the early eighties and I was still discovering to myself the R & R from the sixties and seventies. This song is a R & R anthem, a little novel by itself, a paroxysm of lyrics and a burst of powerful rock at its best by the boss and friends. This song is for the ages.
Baby Bruce!! Who knew what was to come,,,,,, THE BOSS 🔥🔥🔥
I love you, Bruce Springsteen♥️🎶
best live version
and we'll walk in the sun always hold my heart
loving the hat all you need is rasta colours then it would look like bob marleys hat :) boy i was so happy when the postman brought me bruce books programmes & callenders not to forget cds vinyl & dvd wow some fantastic pics in them
I like that I have learned a lot of facts while in the comments 🙂
Favorite song of all time
The Boss Is Born The Boss
, after all.
One of my favourite live performances ever
The absolute best ever
I love you Bruce
Wow wonderful.. All so young look at Max.
45 years ago... can't believe that...
My favourite rock song
Great music never dies, it just get better with time. A true classic
An absolute masterpiece of a song, a phenomenal writer and performer.
I just finished watching the movie "Blinded by the light".
The beauty of Bruce's music is that he gets it. He understands the hardships that people endure and that's why his music is so meaningful.
This footage is absolutely terrific.
The Boss's legendary 45 year old show available for FREE in full HD ? Hell yeah ! What a time to be alive
One of the all time Greatest. The Boss indeed.
No need to repeat the other comments, greatest, phenomenal, historic all true; plus cute as a button!
This is the foundation of one greatest rock band ever. This has been played about 10 million times since this night and everyone is is as good as the next. Just cool. Born to Run, He lives 10 miles from his home town. Hahahaha. He's right tho, Born to stay.. no one would buy that shit.
Rock on Bruce and the mighty E Street Band!!!!!
The best version of this song will always be the acoustic version that he played during the tunnel of love tour. He Came out By himself during one of the encores, gave a great introduction to the song, then played his heart out.
@@rodpitcock6730 that version gives me house bumps when I hear it. Love it.

In m real life I am Mrs. Bruce Springsteen. Like he sings, Guard your dreams & visions... My kinda' Boss. :)
This is a high on life fun song. Beautiful
Americas’ most authentic rocker.
look at those Bassman amps sitting high up there right at ear level. I bet it felt amazing to stand on that stage with that much rumble going on
Did Rock n Roll ever get better than this?
I remember watching this concert on UA-cam a few years ago and then it just disappeared! Happy it’s back!
