Chorus:
And they dance like spirits in the night (All night) in the night (All night)
Oh, you don't know what they can do to you
Spirits in the night (All night), in the night (All night)
Stand right up now and let it shoot through you

26 years old. Just a kid. Unbelievable talent.
And this....this.....is why I have been a fan since teen yrs in the mid-late seventies. He wasn't really on the radio back then. Most kids didnt really dig it. But those that got it, really got it. God bless Bruce!
I was 14 in 75, heard this song on an ALBUM REPLAY on an FM station up here in Vancouver BC, had never heard anything like it, my friends didnt get it, I did, an awakening
I was one of those kids in 1975. My taste has since grown up. I just didn't see what all the fuss was about then but I see it now. i think it was probably all the strong references to Dylan - I was not a fan - great songwriter - just not a fan of Dylans.
Amen to that!
@@suzyq100 Oh Suzy Q, darlin' I love you, Oh Suzy Q. 😀
Likewise
Bruce’s astounding catalog of music at the age of 26 is almost impossible to believe. The fact that he was also an other-worldly live performer by then defies description.
It’s incredible how accomplished he was by 1978
Think about this Paul McCartney was 27 when The Beatles broke up it’s so crazy how talented musicians were back in the day
Have to hand it to the techs who captured this on 16-track and set the mics up. This is one of the best-sounding live recordings without overdubs I have heard in my life-and to think this was all recorded in 1975!!! It feels like being there some 45+ years ago. It seemed difficult to believe that this was before my time, but with this kind of sound engineering I now have a realistic picture in my mind of what it would be like to travel back in time 45 years and see and HEAR the Boss and the boys kick it right here. NOW I know what it's like to be a concertgoer in the 1970's. I feel like no one has ever been truly alive until they've relived this kind of experience, even if they never actually had it...
Goes without saying, eh?? O those super duper first times around..yeehaaa.❤❤❤❤
heck yea and the power of analog tape
One of the most insanely theatrical performances of all time.
With this live show in London in 75, Bruce took back rock n roll for America from the Brits (at least for that night)
One of the tightest bands ever: The Professor, The Phantom, Miami Steve, GWT, Mighty Max and of course The Big Man along with The Boss
Fitting he lost his hat for a minute. Love the hats they're all sporting. And then there's Clarence. All white. That man was a presents. Hahahaha Long live the big man!
I always loved how little Stevie and Clarence rocked the fedora and sweet suit with the flower flowing. An ode to the great soul performers they admire so much. They looked bad ass and played even groovier
This is the best version I've heard everyone is performing.
Probably my favorite Springsteen song.
...and possibly the best performance of it...
This band was insanely tight for as new as they were. Incredible musicians. And Bruce setting that NJ groove.
One of the best riffs ever. So catchy.
This was a high school summer in the late 70’s exactly. 4 kids, a bottle of wine, some “dust” (PCP) and a dance party at the lake where the Gypsy bikers go, ending passed out or singing your birthday song… he captured it exactly.
"She kissed me just right like only a lonely angel can". What a poet.
Those of us growing up in NJ in the 70's knew back then he was really special. You were likely to find him playing in one of the many clubs & bars. Unlike so many relationships, they've never disappointed...❤
I grew up in Hackensack and saw him at the Capitol Theatre in Passaic in 1978. Awesome
This IS the 70s!!!! WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!?! He is in England. He is far away from those crappie clubs on the shore.
@@Onemore59 those “crappy clubs” are where Springsteen came from.. what’s your point? That Britain doesn’t have any “crappy clubs”? Secondly who cares about countries? I’ve seen Bowie, The Stones, Pink Floyd , Radiohead and I’ve never thought to myself “ This is America, thank god they aren’t at some crap hole in England…”. Careful dude your imperialism is sticking out..
I grew up outside of Philly, listening to WMMR, one of the first stations to give him/them regular airtime. I used to sleep with my headphones on, tuned in to MMR. That's how I discovered this song, Bruce, and The Big Man.
Show this tour, ‘75 New Year’s Eve Tower Theatre in the 8th row center ❤
Tight musicians with that singer guy.
Oh Yeah..."where'd my hat go!! " these early videos are killing me💕
"They're built like light"
ONE OF THE BEST LIVE SHOWS. PERIOD!!
Thank you kindly Mr. Springsteen for generously uploading this masterpiece for all of us to enjoy.
Incredible version of this song. The variation in his singing on this elevates it. Just works with the crowd. So good.
Man this whole show is top-tier
My god this is incredible
this is definitive
Wow im 18 and i have one dream.its me being 70 , that way i raised with this songs
I saw him twice in early eightees ,3 hour show barely took a break, incredible.
How about a little euphoric recall y'all! This is as good as it gets for a live concert. Great sound quality - how about the piano and sax and u-huh. Put your headphones on, tune up and Rock On for the 70's!
That SAX is incredible..!.
Suffused with the sheer joy of being great at what they love to do.
The boss, the great Bruce! An impactful voice and music!
WHAT TALENT..INCREDIBLE PROFORMANCE..WHAT AN AWESOME CONCERT..WOW ..BRUCE IS FIRE UP...COOL SONG SPRITE IN THE NIGHT..AWESOME..🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
This is a incredible show, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band is a great band, Bruce Springsteen is a great singer and guitarist, Born to Run is a great album
Greatest
One of the greatest concert films ever recorded. Honestly.
Awesome performance.! The Cats were groovin that night.! Every one of em!!!
can you imagine being dragged out to see the new American phenom, maybe a bit skeptical, and seeing this performance?!
Simply luky
MR. Clarence Clemons.....Such a tremendous loss. It'll never be the same for me. Love ya Big Man
4:50 Oh Bruce 😂 you never disappoint!
This performance was simply Cool AF!
This is the most awesomest sound quality I have heard coming from live recording. Best! Just ... so right ...
Wow brings back such vivid memories of parties out in the sticks on the back roads in North Carolina listening to Bruce and the E Street Band...
i love it. Construct the song. Construct the theatrics. Sell it. Huge. So well done.
What a mighty and vivid performance! Covered by Manfred Mann´s Earth Band
His girlfriend, Diane, says Bruce wrote many lyrics and songs during their years together. His muse. Her interview is here with Thrill Hill Vault videos. But he continued on to greatness without her!
I imagine she has many regrets. Bruce was and is a good man. God bless him always. ❤
Clarence Anicholas Clemons Jr., also known as The Big Man, was an American musician and actor. From 1972 until his death in 2011, he was the saxophonist for Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band. Clemons released several solo albums. In 1985, he had a hit single with "You're a Friend of Mine", a duet with Jackson Browne.
RIP
This is the best live performance ever! Fucking hell.
Lord, my college roomate was a regular at that N.J. Club-forgive me Wild Horse?? Saloon??
Said they'd come back to Jersey and just pop in for a surprise . Her family lived in same neighborhood. Starts with an "A"?
Best I can recall, no Goog. Long live Rose and the cake!
The Stone Pony in Asbury Park
This is the greatest live album ever recorded. Sorry The Last Waltz, but this is the one.
Mr Springsteen is the Boss for a reason 🎸❤️
Very great performance!
One of Bruce's grooviest pieces of early material, by the way-and then the 'polishing the jewel' Manfred Mann's Earth Band cover from the same year! One song, two different (and equally great) flavors to choose from...
Fantastic show, wonderful band, Bruce all be the boss of bosses
Saw him perform this last night in Las Vegas and it still shot right through me!!
Awesome performance. You can just feel the Otis soul influence
Just incredible
First Springsteen cassette I ever owned was a birthday present from my old grand mother in 1988 - Born to Run, after having been a fan since I was introduced to SKY Channel at the age of 12 in 1984....
Has followed me ever since, through thick and thin, and sometime long periods without listening at all...
May you still go strong the next 50...
BRUCE!!
AMOR ETERNO. ❤
Just wow, amazing. Seen him twice in concert. I am like obsessed.
I can't believe how tight they were 45 years ago. I've been obsessed since a very long time :D

La claque. Épique.
Love it !!!
I first met the music of Springsteen in 1977. "Spirit In The Night", a song from his debut.
Before I got to know this, the original, I met the beautiful cover version done by Manfred Mann´s Earth Band in 1975 (From the album: Nightingales And Bombers)
I heard MMEB´s version in 1977 and didn´t know who this Springsteen was.
Light came into darkness when I was introduced to the album THE RIVER. I was flashed and amazed. I followed the boss until the midth of the Eighties, reviewed his early albums.
I was so flashed that I bought the 5-LP-BOX Live 1975-85. This is my ultimate Springsteen record. I even bought a box of Maxi Singles from his tracks off the album BORN IN THE USA.
Then I lost interest, because after the departure of the E Street Band Bruce produced lame, mediocre soft-pop albums. They ment nothing to me.
Bom De Mais Esse Trem Uai📀Bom dia Meu Amigao
