The piano intro alone is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I’ve ever heard; a heartbreakingly melodic expression of pure emotion. For me, it’s a work of genius (as is the rest of the song) I’ll never tire of it.

Him, and often Mark Knopfler, for me (the live versions of Knopfler's Speedway at Nazareth are probably the most visceral musical experience I've ever had). And of course, it's not just them, it's also the musicians they surround themselves with - that, too, is part of the magic, I think.

Twenty six years old and responsible for this? Sometimes it just doesn’t compute that one man could have written so many great songs at such a young age. So true Bruce Springsteen is a musical genius. So is the first rock band Bruce saw in concert in Atlantic City new Jersey. THE WHO and Bruce wanted to be like them. PETE TOWNSHEND is a musical genius. I live at the Jersey shore just down the parkway from where Bruce lives cape may new Jersey. I heard a interview with Bruce talking about how seeing the who live. He had to be a rock star. Saw Bruce 4 times and the WHO 5 TIME'S. They are the greatest rock bands ever ever. Still all these years later no rock band comes close.

How lucky to see the songs from Born To Run just 3 months after the album was released. And in such a small venue. And with a crowd that was there to hear the music, not scream like banshees.

I saw him and the band a few weeks later in Boston, at the Music Hall. The venue adds an extra level of greatness.

Holy shxt! This is truly amazing. Not many videos exist of bruce and the boys in their inspirational prime. No one can keep up this creative intensity forever. Incredible to see. Great to witness Bruce nostalgia from those long ago days. But This old piece is worth a thousand Bruce repetitions today. And i'm sure he knows that. And so what?: he climbed to the summit. We should all be so lucky to do it for five minutes.

Saw them in Milwaukee, Wisconsin about a month and one-half earlier from this tour. Known as the bomb threat show. It was astounding. They were such a good, good band live. Nothing quite like it.

When I first heard the great song. I was like 14 or 15 years old. Living in north Philly and hanging on the back streets of north Philly. I couldn't believe that Bruce wrote this song about me and the corner boys. We where hiding from all the main streets in north Philly. Back in the back streets of North Philly. It was like he was one of us. It's amazing how a lot of songs are just like our lives.

@@jeffthompson247 am now 64 year old man. Living in cape may new Jersey. The Jersey shore and I just miss from meeting Bruce Springsteen. I was walking on the Wildwood boardwalk. After awhile I went home my phone started going off. I look and it's a picture of Bruce Springsteen. Right where I just was a half hour ago. I am going to meet him. He is always somewhere at the Jersey shore. He walks around myself and he will stop and talk and take pictures. He is one of the coolest people.
