Chorus:
Rosalita, jump a little higher
Senorita, come sit by my fire
I just want to be your lover, ain't no liar
Rosalita, you're my stone desire

There is no one and I'm 68 years old who has seen almost every imaginable live rock concert on this planet who ever blew all the doors off like Bruce !!
When this would pop up on MTV in the good old days when they played videos, my sister and I in unison would jump onto the bed, hairbrush in hands like microphones and sing along at the top of our lungs. When the verse "Rosalita Jump a little lighter" came on in unison we would jump off the bed and onto the floor making the chandelier rattle downstairs, our mom shouting up to us, "what are you doing!" LOL. May we all jump a little lighter every now and then!
This is my favorite song by Springsteen. It evokes absolute pure joy.
Before he was a superstar and did movie soundtracks. This is what the small crowds in New Jersey, Philly, and Austin TX got to see before anybody else had heard any of this.
Clarence Clemmons is unstoppable laying down the melody. One of the greatest ever. #RIPBigMan
This was back when Clarence Clemons was cool. I wish he'd never had become a Supreme Court judge just terrible what he became
@@cats5351 It’s not even funny, at least be funny! But you’re apparently into Cats so it all makes sense now!
This is THE best version of this song that I have seen. And, it is my favorite Springsteen song. Thank you.
The energy and urgency of this show is beyond words!! Bring it home!!
Well said! sounds like the record co said get up there and knock there socks off! Or were ripping up your contract:)
It sounds a little rushed. Wish they would have slowed it down a little bit.
This is the greatest thing that exists.
I prefer it to air.
It’s certainly up there mate.
Just wonderful.
In his autobiography, Bruce mentions how much he struggled during this concert. The hype that had been surrounding the band (their first overseas concert ever) , the pretentiousness to the marketing of this concert of which he was against, how he got onto the stage in "abject fear". You see this and would never imagine such a battle happening inside Bruce throughout the concert with his demons and insecurities juxtaposed to the sheer raw energy, zest for life, joie de vivre, grab-life-by-the-balls, give-it-all-or-nothing philosophy of his live performance. The one and only Bruce Springsteen ladies and gentlemen.
I listened to it on audio book after reading it. Made me cry twice as much. Def worth the $20. Get the unabridged version.
Well said !!
Well said sir
Max Is killing it. He's driving the band.
Yeah this is peak Weinberg. Before the band had four rhythm guitarists, Max was the drivetrain keeping things pumping.
Driving too FAST! Slow it down!!
Savor the song, enjoy the song enjoy the moment.
Mighty Max's fills are insane on this. The Boss is the boss, but such a great GD band!! Talent, Miami Steve, Roy Bittan, Danny Federici, and of course the BIG MAN...DO I HAVE TO SAY HIS NAME??? And the maestro bringing it all together. JAYsus
feldspar hoobyshoob Maybe being relatively new Max wanted to prove he could outdo Mad Dog. I think he succeeded!
Too fast. Sounds like cocain.
Saw this on Dec 21, 1975 in Toronto from 4th row. Life-changing.
These released videos confirm a fact I've always known as a lifelong, there at that start Springsteen fan. There is no better live performer in rock , then, and now. But there is a stark difference between Springsteen and the band that felt they had to prove something(I would say that time period was right up to the BITUSA tour) and the Springsteen of later years. The ferocity and urgency the band played with during those early years is a wonder to behold, it's palpable you can feel it in your heart. Yes they became more polished and professional and never failed to deliver night after night. But early , raw Springsteen?...holy shit is this good!!!!
They were so tight on this song. Not a note off, or a beat missed. Sounds as perfect as any studio song mixed and edited.
Well said! I see these bands nowadays and they barely do 1 hour and there gassed. That 1975 Springsteen was unbeatable.. unstoppable.. magical. If I could go back in time it would be those early 70’s shows where you could get up close and personal.
@@LaurenMiddleton28, could’ve seen one of the legendary shows at the Bottom Line. Years later, you see an item in Rolling Stone and you have a regret. Thank God for these videos. Do you know the story about those shows? 10 shows over 5 nights. The first 2 albums got some critical notice but the band was going nowhere really. They are now considered one of the greatest shows period. Like the Police at My Fathers Place in Roslyn, which I saw, young band proving they were ready for the Big Leagues.
The Management turned the lights up because they wanted to go home. Bruce yelled "We ain't never going home!" and played another 45 minutes, digging into Chuck Berry tunes when they ran out of their own material, took a break and came back and played more.
I don't understand why they weren't more involved in the downtown NY scene. This is punk in all but name only.
Had pleasure to see Bruce and East Street Band play in the early to mid 70’s . The urgency and passion was incredible .
Bruce up at 3am again putting up hits!! Call me Bruce im up!!
Did you hear back?
Nobody puts on a better show, absolutely nobody
i am 61 i am from jersey ( originally) i have seen bruce many many times there is NOTHING better than this concert ... ( which sadly I was not at) Thanks for posting
hee! I'm 62 and actually MET him back in 1976 --guy I was dating worked with his girlfriend at the time at Rosie O'Grady's in Eatontown ...CRAZY summer that was! SO much fun!
Yep...born in Hackensack and we moved to Monmouth County in 1967 when I was 10...omG...MET him when I was dating JIm who worked at Rosie O
GRady's in Eatontown in 1976...Bruce was dating JOY...a beautiful blonde cocktail server there...was a hell of a fun 1976!
@@valerietomsic8454 Glen rock here
This, ladies and gentlemen, is Rock and Roll
If you give this a thumbs down, you shouldn’t even be on this channel.
Well said,👍And I might add,If someone gives this a 👎They can Foxtrot Oscar(we have to be careful we don't offend)
✅
ANYTHING pre 1980
Exactly please go away please
Growing up with so much great talented music coming out almost every month I didn't appreciate how incredible some of these guys are until more recently. utube videos helped with that.
From the beginning till today, there has never once been a time where Bruce wasn’t in his prime. Truly one of the greatest musicians in the history of rock and roll!
OUR BOSS❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤🤍
I saw a concert at MSG when I was in 8th grade in ‘73. It was Chicago with special guest Bruce Springsteen ($7.50). There was a Jersey crowd going wild but most others had no idea who he was. He won the crowd! This Hammersmith concert is an all time greatest!
Maybe the most perfect song ever written for people with a pulse.
The headwear swagger of the band is off the charts
I was at this show - one of the top five of my life. A world away from the plod rock dreck he has been churning out for the last 25 years.
I am from Germany 64 old and in Germany there was a Television Live Rock Concert in Essen called Rockpalast at that time. And during the break of the concert Peter Rüchel one of the hosts showed a Video of Bruces concert and the song was Rosalita. So as a tv viewer i was so excited so this was the key this was the music i was looking for. So Thanks Bruce for all the beautiful songs and lyrics.
The way Bruce looks at Clarence a minute in and says Big Man! 😭
England gave us the Beatles and we reciprocated with the Boss!!
Little Stevie in his disco suit. Outstanding
God bless you, Bruce. You just took me back to 1975. Can't we just stay for awhile??
Can we give GW Tallent some props? Dude’s a SUPER tasteful and talented bassist.
Wow! They are all in 100%, every song, every concert. No holding back for these guys! I will always, always be a fan.
One word: Intensity !! Pure love of 'His Craft', Young and Proud and Proving it All Night!!
I say GOTDAMN!!! Woooooooooooo baby!!!
This has gotta be one of Max's greatest performances!!!
His tempo was a little rushed I wish he'd of slowed it down. just a little.
And may I be as bold as to say, Max would agree with me.
I love the hats and suits what a great performance by arguably the best band on earth
It was the 70’s. 😂
I remember seeing Springsteen in concert and he and the E street band were amazing they performed for 4 hrs it was such a high energy concert one of the best performances I have ever seen.
The 1970's were the pinnacle of music
Gotta throw the 80s in there
Max's beard was perfect as well as his drumming.
of course, they are better now than ever before. but it was all *new magic* back then.
these vids bring the sensations back.....like a flood.
It's impossible for me to name a favorite song, but Rosalita is the essence of the Jersey Shore and Clarence blows with all his might. Did Bruce polish things up later, sure, but this is a straight shot of name your liquor. After bring it on it's fantastic!
Not sure what is unpolished about this performance. Everyone was tight and bang on.
@@monkymind4316 All I meant was this is not the Springsteen & E street band of later Byrne/Meadowlands Arena or Madison Square Garden. As his career advanced he added more songs and albums and even with a 4 hour set you can't do all the songs in all the albums. I would dare say that the Hammersmith was more intense because those 3 albums really defined Bruce and having a tape/dvd of a live concert. Also the entire original band was there, it was like having a record of the stone pony days. The sad thing was that Bruce fans had to wait 30 years for the BtR anniversary and get the Odeon surprise. How many of us would have paid $50 or more to get an actual live visual recording of the e street band? His 1st 3 albums were released in 2-3 years from '73-'75, so we had to wait till 2005.
Sorry lost my father recently he shaped my love in music big time. And u where one of his favs. It helps me to listen to them. So thanks for having this in here really. Cause he took all the cds lol. And I can’t bring myself to use them right now. He listen to them till the day he passed.
Saw the band in Massachusetts in the '90s . Chose this live video because they were so amazing live!
I wasn't disappointed
UA-cam doesnt alow me enough characters to discribe how much Bruce and the band influenced my life .
Love the way Roy stands up when Bruce introduces Clarence.
I have seen Manson, Metallic, Vandross, and a lot of artists live...Bruce in 2016 had me exhausted watching the concert. Hands down the best group out there. Formerly from 609, all the best to Freehold.
he was 67 then
@@kuvasz5252 really?
@@j.m1563 yeap. born September 23, 1949
Backstreets May be my fave Bruce song ever, but this one is the greatest IMO. It has everything and remains pure joy from start to finish. How can you not dance, sing along, tap your foot or just smile?
I envy my Uncle as he tended bar at the stone pony when Bruce played there.
Rhythm section is going absolutely bananas
No one ever has or will play with more joy than The Boss.
Another reason why I need a time machine!
This performance is beyond words......
I watch the whole show a couple of times a year when the wife is away, put ear plugs in my dog's ears and crank it up until I can see the speakers walk across the floor. It is a full-length recording of their performance on November 18, 1975 at the Hammersmith Odeon in London, during their Born to Run tours. It was first released as a DVD on November 14, 2005 as part of the Born to Run 30th Anniversary Edition package,
ロザリータって最高のラブソングだよね✨
Rosalita is great Love Song!!💗
Mr Bruce Springsteen will always be the best artist singer songwriter ever 🎸❤️
Agree
Fact. Complete package.
Not to contradict you Alexandra, but I always think it's so hard to pick or separate different artists..(And I have seen any big names play)But I will say this,he definitely raised the bar for "Live concerts"..The effort, quality of music, atmosphere, lyrics, value for money..and so on..And here in 2020(in this strangest of years),he's still Rocking our ears off,Thank goodness!👍
I like bruce. Lived 10.miles or so from him. Seen him 10 plus timez in concert. Even ate a dish of terryaki wings at a pub in red bank. I dig bruce. Shit he is an awesome performer. song writer..etc. But the "best"?
😝😂😝😂😝😂😂😂🥀
Yes. The best total package. Writer, performer. None better to me.
So many hats
Bruce and the E Street Pimps!
Those pimp outfits are killa!
So fast, so unhinged, so raw...the best from the best!
I fall in love with that girl.
Every time I hear this song.
no words adequate here GOATS GOATS baaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh you boys are IMMORTAL, nuff said .. [6) :+) . 💜
There is but one Boss and one Big Man. Bruce was like Michael Jordan. Did his job and made everyone look good. Awesome. RIP, Clarence.
Bruce and the band at his/their very, very best.
In my belief this is the BIG MANS best work!!
"Jungleland" is hard to beat.
@@robertsevers6251 Very true of Jungleland with that solo. But wow his Sax is just singing right along with Bruce. It's a duet.
This was the greatest...I doubt those audience members knew what they were witnessing in 1975!
Oh, they did; dig out the reviews.
The Reviews, yep. One said "The crowd left the Hall, 'Stunned, puzzling out "How?" "What" just Happened ?"
Reviews only tell us what we already know! But, 45 yrs. later, they help to fill in the details? @ Mr. Fischer, you Got it, the audience it's said: "left in shock, wondering What Hit them!!" Somebody said: "I have seen the Future of R + R, it's name is Springsteen." R. Stone Mag.??
👏 Tour in 2023..
European fans are ecstatic 🎇

Whitness the majesty.
My life soundtrack, thanks Bruce

I just dont know who was watching the Bing when Silvio was on tour?
this live is back on the Tube after some years!
Thanks for uploading!
Everything on this concert reminds to the 70's! Great
saw them perform at Rutgers back then....Bruce comped tickets to my boyfriend at the time....they ABOUT TORE the place down!
The '70s', not this! This is Eternal. The Great ones Never 'Sound Old', yeah?
They have more fun on this song - every concert - than any other song in their repertoire ; what an inspiration!
Nothing today can compare to this.
My favorite song of all time!!
Thank you Bruce
I love his toque phase.
Now, that is a sharp dressing, good looking, great sounding rock´n roll band.
What a great recording! The E street band is on point here! Very tight!
6:18 one of the most iconic scenes
This is when the ol internet is good, really fucking good...
Watching this while reading Bruce's biography, Born to Run. What a great read.
The real Boss and the E street band..
it wasn't so easy for them at that time... but it was for sure already so great ! (sorry I'm French)
When melody and heart overcame an inability to understand a word the singer was saying except, Rosalita! And it seems that was enough. Song arrived in the height of my teenaged youth. And at 65 I still feel the same. Rosalita! umba ala lita. Senoria, what the rudk did I say?
The other thing I wanted to mention the date of this release in the Born to Run Anniversary Edition. I was lucky enough to see early Bruce live, but even still I would have paid $50.00 for this DVD. This was 30 years after BtR, how many of his fans that couldn't see him live would have killed for this DVD. But in any event this was a gift to his fans.
So awesome :-) With that soooo great Big Man :-))))
WE MISS him so much!
He was fantastic..Him&the Boss =the Dynamic duo!
@@jerryoshea3116 yes :)))
I was there all those years ago.
Rosie! Come out tonight!!!
never did go home till the robins started to sing
Now, this is the Bruce I fell in love with 😍
This Band is a killer 🎸🎺🎶🎵
Love to see Bruce electricity on stage💥🤭
💚💛♥️
that's rock n' roll.
we are shamefully aged and there are no more Clarence and Danny
I like how everyone else in the band is nicely dressed...expect for Bruce. Looks like he's the founder of the Grunge movement.
Long Beach, California
Brothers in Arms 🤩🤩
Bruce is the best The session band would have to be one of best I’ve heard or seen they are fantastic
Clarence takes it away in this ..gotta love it
My tires were slashed I almost crashed but the lord had mercy. That’s a line right there I can relate too.
And windows are for cheaters
Grandissimo già a 25 anni. Un animale da palcoscenico.
Il migliore!
Having watched this live historic concert footage from Bruce just about to reach his prime is thrilling. It reminds me of the WHO playing Won't Get Fooled Again and Sweet Home Alabama live by Skynerd. In concert it is just riveting. Bruce and the band seem to reach that highlight with every song!
Such a great song and live version. Try sitting still and not smiling.
E sempre un piacere iniziare la giornata col nostro giovane Bruce!!!!😀😀😅😍😍😘🎸🎷🎶💎♥️💋e Clarence!!♥️
This is rock and roll heaven.
Broooooooooooocceeeeee
Yeah i've had a few, and Bruce as always is amazing ;) If he made music for another 50 years it wouldn't be long enough
Bruuuuuuuce!
