Do you know what I can't get out of my head - when he went to the car with the lightbulb, he probably did that hoping he would find him dead and be able to make his little acting scene but he saw he was still alive and thought oh shit I'll have to wait till later. And he'll have left the poor little boy to suffer even more. Also something else that's hard to believe is how ANY woman would find him remotely attractive!!!! Ugh!🤮

    • @Terri_MacKay
      @Terri_MacKay Місяць тому +31

And that, for me, is the thing that makes me believe that he intentionally left his son in the car to die. Even without the evidence of his cheating and texting minors, taking the lightbulbs to the car, and claiming that he didn't notice his son in the car at that time, would make me vote guilty if I was a juror.

@@Terri_MacKay Yes, either his son was alive and moving/making noise or he was dead and there would be a noticeable smell in a hot car. Even without decomposition, there would be sweat, urine, etc. He should have noticed something.

I agree 100% with your entire comment including the last sentence! My heart just shattered for Cooper, what a horrible way to die and if I had accidentally left my child in a hot car like that (and it does unfortunately happen but I have never heard of any of those cases involving the parent coming out to the car, opening the door and not noticing anything), I would not want to live, I couldn’t live with that guilt.

He pretty much spelled it out in all of his messages and posts about how he'd have a much better life without his wife and son. How he'd be free to be God's gift to minor girls if he didn't have them! He spelled it out!!

    • @haileyranson8255

Also, I understand that in places that get as hot as this it will be something to worry about as a parent. I live in the UK and our hot weather is nothing like this, so maybe I'm just wrong, but I find it weird to say that leaving his son in a hot car was his worst nightmare - every parents worst nightmare. That he thinks about it all the time etc. I know he said he'd been watching a father who had become and advocate recently so he would be thinking about it more, but I feel like it's weird to say this is his worst nightmare. I feel like the reason its happening so much anyway is because everyone thinks they'd never do something like this. Even if you're listening to the advocates and the tips to ensure this doesn't happen, I can't imagine it would be a parent's worst nightmare. There are a lot of things to be a lot more worried about when you have an infant child.
I also find it very hard to believe that he'd do this if he was SO scared of it and was watching and listening to advocates regularly and even researching it online! He seems to be hyper aware of this concern. Surely if you are that worried you'd be checking all the time? None of it makes sense. If you look at it like he did this deliberately, all of the puzzle pieces fit into place perfectly. It's Occam's raxor 🤷‍♀️😪

I 100% agree with you. I too found it odd that he said he was always concerned about it, his worst nightmare.... I feel like that was part of his plan to make it appear more as an "accident". He is guilty!

I have 3 daughters who are now between 9-14, never once did me or their mother ever forget one of the kids was asleep in their car seat. I can’t imagine how people accidentally do this. This guy did it on purpose.

Even if I were inclined to believe that him leaving that poor baby in the car wasn’t intentional (which I am most definitely not), maybe if he wasn’t so busy sexually exploiting minors and focused on being a father instead, this wouldn’t have happened. It seems his perversions were all encompassing including texting while driving and texting all day when he should have been focused on his job. This happened in my town too. But it was a woman who happened to be a nurse. She got in her car halfway through the day to get coffee in a drive thru. The barista even asked about her daughter. Researching "How to Survive Prison" , not noticing a child screaming or at least crying in pain IN THE CENTRE REAR SEAT, those moments of calm followed by absolutely pathetic acts of sorrow & guilt. Then they find he's a paedophile, the sort of monster that parents monitor the home computers for. (They should do this with so many iffy chatrooms online.) HE'S AS GUILTY AS SIN !!!! As a side note, this poor little child suffered the modern equivalent of the imfamous Brazen Bull victims. Boiled alive.

In 2009, the Washington Post wrote a fantastic article called Fatal Distraction. People do tragically accidentally leave their kids in cars.
If you tie your shoes without thinking of every motion, if you drive to a familiar place kinda on “autopilot” without having to remember ever turn and pay close attention every moment…those are shortcuts your brain automatically creates for familiar routines and tasks, and a sleep-deprived parent’s brain can do the same and make them think the child is not in the car.
However, I believe he took advantage of the phenomenon to get rid of his unwanted child. Just listening to him calmly justifying how he read about “this guy” it happened to without a bit of grief or concern in his voice was him deliberately hinting to the cops it was an accident.

There was a father who accidentally left his child in the car when he got home and left his car parked in the garage sometime in the last few years. After he realized what he had done, he shot and unalived himself because he was so horrified and guilty. That seems more like an extreme but natural reaction

He's not only a murderer, but a child predator and sexual deviant. He's a very dangerous human and regardless of if he did this by accident (which he did not), he should be put away for life. Even if it was accidental, he was so distracted by abusing minors and being a pervert that he neglected his child. He put his sexual perversion above everything, especially the welfare of his child.

I’ve thought from the start of first hearing about this case that he was guilty of murdering that poor baby off of his poor attempt at acting in the interview & body cam footage. It’s a shame that so many children, like Cooper don’t get the justice they deserve. The jury got it right with this one. To have their decision overturned is a slap in the face to baby Cooper & all that truly loved him.
I hope Cooper is in heaven playing with the other babies & children taken far too soon.😓💔
Thanks for covering Cooper’s case, Rachel, & for being a voice for him & other victims. I hope you have a great week.

Take out the ones where he didn't say that but leave in the ones that do! It's common sense (which obviously isn't so common anymore)! UGHHHH 🤮 What's worse is this little boy died in vain, since the D.A. doesn't have the backbone to try him again! Let the jury decide!

This seemed to be a trend at one time but the police have caught on. Now over the past 5 years ive noticed that just killing their child & doing God knows what with the body some get away with this. Especially when the body isnt found. Luckily that wasn't the case with Adam Montgomery. I feel this man is 100 % guilty as probably over 99% of people in these circumstances are. I would say 100 but there may be 1 or 2 who have somehow innocently done this. Even so, its still neglect. So sad 😞 ❤
