Omg her mother's victim impact statement got me, got me real good.🥺 As a mother hearing how her girls act now that their mother is gone is more than heartbreaking. 💔 I am still crying hard as I type this. There isn't a word strong enough to describe a mothers love for her children... And those poor babies. I commend grandma for doing her best. I hope for nothing but peace, serenity, and healing to the family and friends of Monique.

Monique’s mom telling the story of one of Monique’s girls using a magic wand to try and “turn her into mommy” and telling her “don’t leave me again” is so heartbreaking. Her poor parents, her poor children. Too many people are way too comfortable ending a human life as nothing more than collateral damage.

I just finished watching a murder of a young woman and the father had been pressing the cops for FOURTEEN YEARS to look further into his daughters' murder and there is thousands of cases like it and they are WHITE... so please stop your r@cism!

Why do these people have to choose drugs and a life of crime? No good ever comes from it. Elsa obviously had an education, and knew better than to get involved with one of her clients. Monique got it right becoming a realtor. When you get involved with thugs you put yourself and family in danger. Those poor children left without their mommy. Oh wow I had to walk to the back when listening to the mom talking about the granddaughter magically turning her to mommy. I'm pretty strong and it takes alot to tear me up but that got me. The pain she feels is palatable

Was she pregnant? She was absolutely beautiful. My heart breaks 💔 for Monique. I'm sending so much strength 💪 and prayers 🙏 to her mom and the rest of her family. Boy this case was finally one where the jury got it right. I agree Linden and Elsa both should be held responsible. It might be that she didn't know what was really going to happen. I believe they do both need to be covicted

Hi, I know I am going to get flack for this. The impact statement from the mother. Although the words were very moving, I did not see any tears after the first initial tears. She sounded like she was sobbing and bending over, she only wiped one side of her face and the camera side showed no tears even though she sounded like she was sobbing. If I was sobbing I would have tears streaming down my face and a very snotty nose, would you?? I have no doubt she was upset. I think all 4 should be behind bars, just because you only set the murder up does not mean you are not responsible for a murder. It should not be just the actual person(s), but every person involved in the crime from start to finish who should be punished. That’s just my opinion anyway. Those girls have to grow up without another and one day, if they don’t already know, they will find out she was murdered because of their Dads involvement in drugs. Then what are they going to think about him?

The felony murder rule is a law in most states and under federal law that allows anyone who is accused of committing a violent felony to be charged with murder if the commission of that felony results in the death of someone. The people involved in the felony may be charged for murder under the rule even if they had no intention of killing someone. The kidnapping was a violent felony. So they should still be convicted of the murder. RIP to the victim.

The police was sent to alley because the radar for gunshots in that area went off which police went to investigate. Police got there they found her with 3 shots. One in the face close range and 1 in chest and 1 in torso she was then rushed to the hospital and died not long after arrival. R.I.P Monique 🙏 ❤
The smile on her face when she got her picture taken on arrest is disgusting. She is the reason this murder managed to go ahead she lured her there and knew exactly what was going to happen. Monique’s Mum’s impact statement was heart breaking describing how her grandchildren are struggling without their mother. They were killed for such a stupid reason he saw him the same day he had been picked up for dealing so put two and two together and came up with five and then to kill them both is awful especially Monique she wasn’t even involved with any of this stuff but her partner was and murdered her too by luring her away. Elsa is just as much to blame as the person who pulled the trigger in my opinion I hope she they manage to prove that she was involved it would be a tragedy for her to be let out she needs to be in prison for life in my opinion those poor children lost their mother they have to deal with that for the rest of their lives. I send strength to the family to keep fighting to get through this and hope they get the justice they deserve to get ❤.

Such a powerful impact statement. Made me choke up. Such a terrible, stupid, useless, act. These men are cowards. How could anyone actually plan, and act out such a horrific plan. Many lives destroyed over someone thinking someone snitched on them. Don't want to go to jail? Don't do illegal things. Even if he did snitch, they murdered an innocent mother/daughter/girlfriend/friend. Those poor babies, growing up without their mother, and her mother had to bury her baby. Just tragic.

They kidnapped Monique for her house key. That was the whole point. That’s why her house key was found at the scene of John’s attempted murder at the house. And why there was no forced entry. They killed her for a house key and to make sure John was miserable if he survived. It was all for her house key.

I don’t understand why the second two received the same sentence as the first two since there’s no definite way to know if they knew that the plan involved murder. My heart breaks for Monica’s family, especially her daughters! My husband was murdered when my baby was 7 months old and she grew up not having a father’s love. I hope their father truly cleans up his act so that they can at least have a relationship with them.
