- When we ask God, and trust God, God will use our request to get what GOD wants from US - which is for us to remember who we are and come home again! We will be led into a variety of challenges that will strengthen us, strengthen our faith, teach us what we need to know, and how to be unattached to the outcome, and sometimes that all takes a while.
From there, we will discover how to get that "thing" we wanted, but usually by that time, we don't really want it anymore anyway.
Using examples from his own life, and quotes from A Course in Miracles to teach us, Michael explains a recent vision he had about a neuron of Light in a brain full of neurons, and how Religion believes that the one neuron will save all of the other neurons. But Spirituality believes that there is a Light in EACH neuron, and if those neurons accept that Light, each neuron will be saved. Once that happens, the Light overrides the materiality and all disappears EXCEPT the Light.
What a great metaphor for all of us! As we go through our baby steps to return to the Light (or quantum leaps, in some cases), we start receiving more and more inspirations, often in the form of synchronicities, rather than relying on past experiences to define everything. When we pray, it is best to say, "I don't know even know what it is in my best interest to ask for. Please show me." And then trust that God will lead us home again... home to Love.

When my son was 3 years old, a pastor prophesied that he would bring thousands to the Lord. He took his life at 24 years old and heavy into drug addiction. I turned my back on religion but found a spiritual path.

One thing I was told to do about mid 40s from a minister was to go back to the age of awareness. I remembered so much that I loved to do, and it's all making sense now. I'm getting back into them in my soul's purpose.

You cheered me right up this morning !I woke up after a bad dream about my shitty family issues and I'm now feeling light enough to tackle those dense family issues ..Thanks Michael 😉 . Might even touch me toes and have a dance ..If you do come to England please come up north all these spiritual people always go somewhere down south and ignore places like Lancashire. I have a clear memory of how impressed I was when I first heard someone teach from ACIM a few years ago. I knew I had hit upon some of the “real stuff”. Sadly, I suspected it to be a “mixed bag” nonetheless, like all the others I had encountered before, including the Bible. So I just put the course on the back-burner part of my reading list.
I owe it to you, Michael, that I now finally begin to understand how EVERYTHING can make sense and how and why I can TRULY and FULLY trust God. @MM - Thank you for being a guide, guru, way shower. 🙏 I have started practicing connecting with god and surrendering and I have never felt peace like i do now. I cant go back to how it was. Just doesnt make sense. But..
I have a question. I remember and acknowledge who I am and respect the illusion. How do i go about goals by not wanting them? Im not praying for them but should i not have them as a guide to achieve things in this life. I am a bit confused about goals actions and surrender and i mean who wouldnt be happy to just throw goals out of the window. But the system requires it and i want to participate and not escape.
