I was always taught in Church that repentance did mean a complete turn around. It was a military term in Greek to do a complete about face. A total change of mind, belief and actions. To go in the opposite direction. I also have always been taught in Church that the Kingdom of Heaven is inside you. I've been a member in several Churches so these are consistent teachings, at least in the Churches I've attended.

There are so many denominations following Christ, whether it's Presbyterian Lutheran non-denomination, Catholic Episcopalian, etc. They all believe differently even though they all follow the same Lord and Savior. Om. I have been aware of my thoughts ever since I was 18. Eckhart Tolle whole podcast explaines everything so well. For example, my whole life I have lived in the past and future. I have had glimpses of the present filled with peace and silence. I strongly desire to remain in the present filled with peace and silence. For example, not only when I meditate, also in my daily routine and interaction with family and community, to be established in the present and not listen to the chit chatter and stories of my mind, which take me out of the present moment. When Eckhart Tolle becomes entertainment, we went wrong somewhere. We are supposed to live the teaching, not make him look like some sort of deity to worship.
5:59 is all too real. I have ambition but been lacking motivation to challenge myself and progress with my goals. I also wasn't really taking care of myself and my living space was a disaster. I got into a relationship that could have lead into having a family. The relationship was sudden and in the middle of this mess with myself. So I didn't make an effort to challenge myself, and guess what Life Challenged me even more, because now she is with my best friend and they are about to have a kid. He had nothing to do with her and I not working out they got together like 5 months after she broke up with me. So I am not resisting and am surrendering to it, they are both my best friend. This is the most painful life challenge I've had so far and it has motivated me to challenge myself because of this result and not taking on the challenge sooner before it was too late, I don't want to live like that anymore.
@@EvanCarmichael It's pretty amazing how I have been following Eckharts teachings and others over 10 years. But in this moment of significant transition, I'm having so much content like yours and others like Sahara Rose and Daily Motivation just suddenly appear delivering messages really synchronizing with what I've experienced. Telling me that this experience which has a lot of pain involved, is the universe protecting me and helping me grow. I hit rock bottom with myself and my personal life and it's like the universe can only utilize the circumstances I manifest with others to pull me back up. There is no growth or change without challenge and discomfort. My ego feels threatened yet my heart knows its on the right path.
I had something similar happen, i just got out of a relationship with a coworker. After we broke up she started dating our other coworker ( the guy she told me not to worry about) and I realized all the times she lied to me and gas lighted me. And now I have to see them bring each other coffee at work. Definitely lit a fire under my ass to get my life together.

Number 8. I have NEVER heard eckhart advocate for thinking positively. He's only said that positive thought is better than negative thought, but that no thought is "better" than positive thought. An inner state coming from aligning with the flow of free and abundant life energy Is what he points to for creation/manifesting.
It took millions of years for humans to evolve (if you believe in evolution), evolve to have a grandiose mind capability, it will be a massive waste of potential not to think at all. All the pass generations that Invision medicine, electricity, flying, or going to the outer space, telecommunication (what we are doing right now), and what have you! Maybe the wording could be different, something like POSITIVE IMAGINATION! 😂❤
