I have 'bobbed' it up and down but how do I walk it from side to side? Is there a special way to hold the rod and/or have the line (ex. slack line or tight line, etc.)?? Thx!!

Hey flair im just getting back into fishing after 10 yrs. or so due to personal reasons. But after making aome changes and watching your videos i am once again hooked on fishing. I was wondering if you could maybe actually show how you work the rod or explain maybe to get these frogs to walk correctly. I really dont have the right setup yet for rod and reel but will b getting one in the next couple weeks so maybe that will help as well. And i have never fished a baitcaster so can i use a good spinning reel for walking these frogs. Like i said im just learning the frog fishing stuff and would appreciatte any help . Thank you
I have a couple cheap pond scum frogs and one lunker hunt, so i will def. go get some boo yahs this weekend and try those. But the ones i have know i just cant get no action out of them. I only have a cheap rod and reel combo know and the rod is only a med action just a touch over 6 ft. Not sure what the ratio is on spinning reel or if there even is one. So maybe you can recommend a rod and reel for under 200 dollars for a rookie on a budget fot frog fishing.
+tim justus the new enigma fishing phenom rod in a 7ft MH with a lews speed spool (7 speed at least) or a BPS pro qualifier (7 speed) would be a great set up for frogging!! And if you can't use a bait caster get the same 7ft MH phenom Rod in spinning with a lews Mach 1 in a 6:2:1 (fasted spinning reel you can get in your price range)
+tim justus as far as walking the frog goes, just search how to walk a frog on UA-cam! It's much easier to walk a frog on a baitcaster so I would encourage you to learn how to use one! I know they seem difficult but with a little practice you can get really good with them and they offer so much more speed and power as well as longer casts!!

The field mouse, because mine gets water in it after about 4 casts and it goes underwater instead of walking on the surface.
Just squeeze out the water in the body of the frog and it will float like new again

A lot of people so don't worry what your supposed to do is wait about a second until u feel the fish pull then set the hook after the grab
Let the fish take the frog alittle, then give a hard tug to get both hooks in. I have the same problem, missing hits on frogs, so set the hook about a second later and you will get a better
