I always love to see the alerts come in when you post another video! Anyone else give a thumbs up before you even watch the first 10 seconds? Lol! Have a great day and tight lines!
Here in the Northeast we have lots of good lakes & ponds. Especially up in Maine. Maine is loaded w/ virgin lakes and good size ponds that are still undeveloped areas. More so in the central & upper part of the state. Also makes for great hunting. You can find a lot of older cheap hunting & fishing cabins in those areas.
You are very good at what you do. Not just your fishing, but your calm demeanor and personal presentation make me long for more time on the water. Stay safe and keep on catchin' em'
Took my fishing kayak out for the first time this week, caught a few largemouth on the whopper plopper down here in Iowa. Tons of fun & all thanks to your videos 🙂
I'm always fascinated as to what species are caught in other states. I'm in rural northwestern NJ and I run the gamete here. Largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, striped bass, northern pike, muskies, chain pickerel, channel catfish, carp, rainbow/brown/brook trout, yellow perch, crappie plus other sunfish heck even monster bowfin in select spots. Any given day can bring 5-6 different species. It's actually pretty great. Hope everyone has many diverse fishing targets!
@@mr.onethirtyeight5088 I’m in NJ but def not rural part. I drive west though and within an hour a ton of reservoirs, lakes, rivers to fish. My PB is a 6 lber out of a state park lake that is a gorgeous paddle to boot.
I love your videos. Whenever I’m stressed out and need to simmer down. I put on your videos and close my eyes. Listen to you narrate, listen to the water and the birds chirping. Calms me down.
Kayak fishing has become my obsession. Every spare minute, I'm exploring a new spot around me, searching for that perfect, quiet fishing spot where I can hear the birds singing, and the water's calm, and the fish are biting. You have been my inspiration since I discovered your channel a few years ago. I don't know how many times I've heard the comparison, but you really are the same for fishermen that Bob Ross was for painters. Your videos are the perfect balance of idle banter, instruction and technique, packed with catching fish instead of just casting and retrieving, and the best part is the constant landscape shots, instead of the selfie-video style that some channels seem to focus on. Talking to the camera occasionally is great, but I want to see where you are. I want to see what you see. Fishing is as much about the landscape for me as the fishing itself. You do a fantastic job of putting videos together. Keep up the great work, and I hope someday we can hit the river together and wet some lines!!
Every time I watch one of these vids of you catching largemouth, it brings back a bushel-basket of memories of my youth. My dad spent his summers bass fishing, and my brother and I were always right there in the boat with him. Me in the middle and my brother in the bow. Now at 60 years old, I don't do much of that anymore. Feel like it's time to get busy living again.
It's a couple of things I really appreciate about your videos that not many channels do. The head mount POV so we see what you see and the use of a classic paddle kayak, love the water sounds.
I saw that 51”, awesome fish! They’ve been biting really good here at one of the dams. They aren’t nearly that big but mid 30’s-40” fish are still a lot of fun!
Hey, brother. I just want you to know that you’re the inspiration behind me deciding to start my own fishing UA-cam channel. Your calm demeanor is so refreshing, and I can tell there’s nothing fake about you.. and this makes for AWESOME videos. Not to mention, you definitely know what you’re doing! You are one of my very favorite fishermen on UA-cam. I started my day wade fishing for smallmouth with a good friend, and I get to enjoy one of your new videos near the end of the day. A perfect day.
Oh man that was a beast of a largie! I always love when you fish the frog… there’s just something about the lily pads, shallow banks and the sounds of your paddles dipping in the water! And as always, thank you for making these videos sir🤘
Hi, I've been watching your videos for a while now- this maybe an odd comment, but I have panic disorder and your calming and entertaining videos help me when I'm getting panic attacks. I watch under a different username since this is my gaming one, but I'll be subscribing here too. While I'm not great at fishing, it is my happy place, so this goes a long way for me to get through some severely hard moments in time. Wishing you all the best from Texas and thank you for such great videos.
Finally had a day off a couple weeks ago to fish and the cotton wood stuff was awful. Like it snowed on the water so way to keep your head up and fish thru! Your videos are the best, true skill to slay them as good as you do in the kayak!
Great video as always. What a monster that big'n was! As an ex-pat Canadian living in Australia for the past 40 years it was also very nostalgic to hear the woodpecker and the loons.
Holy crap, what a monster largemouth!! I had no luck like that this past week, throwing the same frog a "few" lakes over. What a fish! Literally jaw dropping!
