  • E7 Outdoor Fan Motor Fault.
    This is stating that there is a fault with the outdoor units fan motor.
    This is caused when either the fan motor PCB does not detect any feedback from the motor itself or if the motor has drawn too much current when trying to start up or run.

    That daikin app has saved me so many times. Saves a call to tech support and waiting for someone to call you back. Great video bro

    Hello, I have burned outdoor unit fan of Daikin RXB60CV1B .According to the instructions, the 4th and 7th pin of the board should have 320v. +-30v. It's 330V for me. , but at the moment when the compressor starts, it goes to 400v. I want to ask if this is normal ?

    Thanks Mitch. I've had the same issue on my daikin. Have checked the pcb and the dc voltage is erratic and command voltage is neglibe. Gonna order a new board.
    Do you know if my board will need a capacity setting adaptor? Doesnt look like my current one has onem. Not sure 100% what they are for.
    Really good vids too. Thumbs up.

      No worries. Thanks for the comment!
      Definitely need a capacity adaptor. These boards are the same for all the different models (for example, 12kw, 14kw, 16kW etc). When they install these boards in the factory they preset the capacity. However when you get them as a spare part, you need to put in the capacity adaptor so it knows what unit it’s for. Don’t worry, we are only talking a couple of dollars. If you don’t put one in, it will show a fault.

      Goodluck mate. I have another video that shows better how to test Daikin fan motors.

    Hey Mate great video, I've got the same code E7 - 02 on a similar unit. I've tested the fans and can only get 65kv from pin 4 to pin 3 on each connector, everything else shows nothing. Not sure if my multimeter is dodgy and just not reading the actual resistance (can change the range) I've even taken the wires out of the connectors to make sure I have good contact. Both fans will run (bottom fan a bit slow) and then shut off and throw the code. Any thoughts? Cheers

      Hey mate, so just to confirm, have you tested the DC voltage out of the actual board? In regards to the fan, 3 and 4 should have 100 ohms or more. Are you saying you have 65ohms? 👍🏻

    Would the fluke 902 be ideal for these tests ?

    • @maracservices
      @maracservices  2 роки тому

      Yeah that looks like a good model. That would be fine for these tests.
      I use the Fluke 116 as my go to meter but I also have the 322 that I use to measure current.

    Hi great video, what build number is your app I can't seem to find the resistance charts that you can see on the service app I have...thanks for any help!

    • @maracservices
      @maracservices  2 роки тому

      Hey mate, yeah so since they have updated the app you can no longer get access to the additional information or diagrams. I have no idea why. I was taking about this to a friend of mine who is also an air con mechanic just the other day. I complained to Daikin about this actually.
      I think you might be able to sign in or create an account through the app which MIGHT give you access. Haven’t tried this yet. Alternatively, if you ring tech support they will email you the diagrams. Sorry mate, hope that helps.

      @@maracservices Hi thanks for the quick response, yeah I've done as you said and signed up for an account on the new app and it does give you more details as in access to the flow chart for the fault code but as you said yourself still no access to the resistance diagrams etc...

    Hey what Daikin app is this they have like 20 in the app store lol

      @maracservices  Рік тому +1

      I was using the “Daikin service” app in this video but they have removed a lot of the tech information off the app since then. Now everyone is using the “Daikin EQuip” app. Cheers
