In this video I attend a break down where the unit is displaying a U0 Fault Code and won't run. I found the Outdoor Printed Circuit Board to be faulty.

Thanks mate, I’ll definitely record it but I’m not sure when because according to Daikin’s Global Data Bank there are no PCB’s available in Sydney. Which normally means none in Australia. Hopefully soon though.

Yeah definitely agree that inverter air conditioning pcbs are fragile when it comes to storms/surges.
I like to put surge diverters in my quotes as a recommended option.

when ever posible with a scale by weight , the unit has a label indicating how much the unit takes
Find the leak, fix the leak, evacuate the system and then weigh charge the gas back in 👍🏻

Hey mate just wondering why all the resistance readings the same? For single phase shouldn’t the highest be between run and start, then start and common, then run and common?
It’s because it’s a 3 phase DC Compressor mate.

In iverter motor it should read the same reading
what is a U4 long beep? And what should I look for on my Daikin unit
Communication error between indoor and outdoor unit. It could be a fault in the interconnect wiring but most likely a faulty PCB.
Are you going to make a part 2 for it?
I am however Daikin don’t have any of those PCB’s in stock so we are currently waiting unfortunately.
If the fuses don't have continuity could you replace them to try and get the PCB working again?
Yeah definitely however unfortunately in this case the fuses are fine and do have continuity. The issue is in the board.
@@maracservices I love how air conditioning company’s don’t put replaceable fuses 😅 . Can I ask what props you use to test small components
@@adrianvisintin1961 I know it’s so ridiculous hey.
So my fluke meter came with prongs that I use 99% of the time but I found a really cheap no name multi meter laying around that had really sharp prongs. So basically I put the prongs in my bag to test plugs and what not. So to answer your question, I use no name Chinese leads for plugs and decent fluke leads for everything else haha.
Hi, have you ever had a u0 04 error?
Daikin cant seem to figure it out and blaming airflow, however system was working fine for 3 years through many 40c days.
Gas has been reclaimed and checked.
Indoor coil thermistor replaced.
If it’s not short on refrigerant and a technician has confirmed this. You need to test the low pressure transducer is actually working. It might think it’s low on refrigerant when it actually isn’t.
Change brand next time mate, this brand is too much problem and gives you headaches....

Had this error before turned out to be eev. System was pumping itself down into a vacuum.
Was there frost on one side of eev

Yeah mate that’s just an error code that comes up when the compressor gets to hot. Unfortunately there’s many things that could cause that so it’s impossible to tell you the exact problem without checking stuff but I can tell you that the compressor got too hot. Error comes on when the thermal overload is tripped which is located on top of compressor.
