My favorite araki forgots are "character says something that is disproven later on" forgots. Yes, it is impossible for a character to be wrong apparently.
Imagine being a Johnny Joestar from another dimension where you're facing off against a standless Funny Valentine then he gets a stand you've never seen before only to sink into the ground and die.
All those other Johnnies from the other dimensions had a really confusing ending. *Araki Forgot* to explain and draw the ending for all those other Johnnies smh shaking my head.
Actually, If you think about it, that Funny Valentine from another universe may also have a stand. Remember that it was only stated that D4C only belonged to base-world Valentine, but it was never stated that all other Valentines won't have a stand at all. But yeah, I agree, seeing Valentine suddenly have another stand, D4C, and then sink in to the ground would be really weird.
Virgin: Dio trolling Polnareff on the stairs by using the world Chad: Diego picking up himself and his horse to move forward and win the race, using the world
lmao Im pretty sure that anything that come in contact with DIO or his stand can move in time. Like how he threw the knives which were stuck in midair a bit further away from him, and the blood splatter from when he donuted kakyoin.
@@bobjimbobjim not the contact, he can apply force to an object, he throws the knife and the stopped air stops the knife in the air because gravity is not working
Even Siller alternative theory: the horse also is a stand user. The only special thing about the stand other than it being the stand of a horse is that it enables its user to move during stopped time.
I mean, looking at how concerningly often her age is stated (Like, there are pages where it's in brackets behind her name without any reason. Just to remind everyone that she's 14)... I don't think he forgot.
You forgot to mention another Araki Forgot. When Valentine is offering to bring back Gyro, how come Johnny didn’t try and bring back the Oingo Boingo brothers instead? Very big plot hole.
I personally think a better idea of The World AU's ability is when connecting with an object it will move normally but once they lose contact the object slows down then completely stops like Dio's knifes
Just like how they could breath in stopped time or how jotaro was able light a fire in stopped time. whatever they're interacting with should be able to move as well.
Yeah it's almost like the world gives an aura to things around, making physics and biology work but when they get far away from the user they start to stop
JoJo fans: "'spin' 'the power of the spin' 'it's because of the spin' I get it already, it's all in the spin. You've said spin a million times Araki!" Also JoJo fans: "How did Johnny start walking?"
I’m pretty sure a lot of the people who ask how Johnny can walk later on haven’t actually read part 7. Even if part 7 is well received by fans, it’s still just a manga story and not adapted into an anime yet. Which means a good chunk of these fans haven’t bothered to read the manga and are waiting for an anime adaptation that will take years before it’s even developed
JoJo fans: "fate' 'the power of fate' 'sleeping slaves of fate' I get it already, it's all because of fate you've said fate a million times Araki!" Also JoJo fans: "How does King Crimson / GER work?"
You forgot about how the First Lady says that Valentine makes no sound when he walks when later it shows stepping noises for Valentine I'm gonna predict that the answer is that he can do it whenever he wants and doesn't have to walk silently everytime
I always thought that Chubby Valentine is the one who can walk without making sound, then when we see stepping noises, it was supposed to say that it was Valentine from Another World (Since Chubby Valentine is dead)
He makes no footstep sounds is because the sound waves are between his feet and the floor so they get sent to some other dimension, the only time I've seen the text for him makeing footstep sounds was during love train, when he was walking on love train itself, which isnt physically there so it wouldn't activate D4C
All of these are lovely answers, thank you for your time Please don't misinterpret my original comment as insulting to anyone I only wanted an answer (just in case someone may interpret it that way)
Something about Hot Pants’s Stand: Since we don’t see her “phasing” her stand out and only putting in that place where a gun would usually be, I thought that the stand would work as a physical object that can outlive the user itself, kínd of Anubis (the stand that lived in a sword in part 3).
Yeah I thought this was known? Its a physical stand and so even one from another dimension can be used by anyone, even a non-stand user can see and use it.

Polnareff gets spammed with time stop and Kakyoin gets blown away in an instant while Joseph sees it happening: *I have no clue what is going on* Johnny when he gets hit by knife: *Ah yes, time stop*
It could be possible that Johnny is vaguely conscience during time stop through the super spin in Tusk Act 4; its much easier to figure out when and if the opponent can stop time when you can actually see it. Or maybe the spin did good to Johnny big brain
I just think it's really funny that Diego is constantly throwing his horse forward, running to catch up with it, getting back on, and then doing a whole bunch of bullshit to Johnny, all during the time stop. Its also possible that the horses movement could work like anything the TS user is touching being "active". I.e thrown knives still moving for a distance then keeping their potential energy. The horse could work as an extension of Diego

Okay, the "Soundman is an alternate universe Sandman" banks on much more than the name and powers. The actual theory qas likely popularized from Metinotthebaguy's video on Sandman/Soundman, where his argument mostly hinges on Soundman's character, which many have pointed out is inconsistent with his personality early on. He also points out that Soundman emerges from a location that is a perfect vector for D4C's ability, and that a signal is sent to Valentine before Soundman appears.
His character didn't change at all, the reason for him to enter in the race was because he wanted to buy his lands back to his people, if Valentine has no problems to give Diego the entire Manhattan island for killing Johnny and Gyro then why he wouldn't give to Sandman his lands back for the same job?
Ionut Makz Nah it’s consistent. His attitude, mannerisms, and general nature is the exact same. Hell, even I made the mistake of thinking he was a different person because of D4C’s ability but this video cleared that up

What people have to remember is that from part 7 onward the rules of stands change a little bit, and we have yet (probably) to discover still in all the ways they have.
I still think that maybe Araki just didn’t have a full grasp on how D4C would work when writing who shot Johnny Joestar. Sure, it can be explained in a way that requires Valentine to have moved all these people to different universes and such(like, did those kids in the park just forget that the president threw a flag over them or something?) but I’m fairly confident that even Araki didn’t have a full grasp on what happened in that arc. Like, Johnny tells Gyro that Valentine, Wekapipo, and Diego all shot him. Why would he not clarify that Diego and Wekapipo shot a different version of him?
yea, I have to agree I feel like Hamon Beat is trying too hard to rationalize some things that Araki actually forgot/made mistakes with. I mean, yes, the meme has gotten a bit out of hand, but Araki isnt perfect. He has made several mistakes, and I feel like Hamon is reaching a bit too hard.
hipe er He definitely does reach a bit hard sometimes. I feel like he’d come off a bit better if he presented his explanations as a plausible explanation of the plothole, rather than the definitive answer. Like, some of them are basically just “people weren’t paying attention” and should be called out as such, but he acts like his explanation of the “who shot Johnny Joestar” arc is what definitely happened when really it still leaves questions open.
That is literally an asinine question. Johnny doesn't fully know Valentine's ability, so he wouldn't even know that an alternate version of him got shot by the others. Valentine uses his ability to instantly bring Wekapipo and Diego to the spot aiming at Johnny immediately after shooting him, making it seem like all 3 somehow shot him.
Sam Bradley It doesn’t matter that Johnny doesn’t understand Valentine’s ability. By Hamon Beat’s own explanation, Diego and Wekapipo would have shot different Johnnys. Our Johnny is clearly aware that they shot a Johnny, as he says that all 3 men shot him. Yet he words it as if they all shot HIM specifically. Ignoring the fact that he shouldn’t even know these events happened, if he did know than he would have to be aware of the fact that they didn’t shoot him. If you were shot by one guy, and you saw another guy shoot an exact double of you, you wouldn’t be like “These 2 people shot me!” Because that’s just wrong.
18:58 so not only can I imagine dio running down the steps, picking up polnareff, going down the steps, and then going back up the steps, but now I can imagine Diego getting of his horse, and PICKING UP HIS HORSE, for like 3 meters, then getting back on the horse💀
Actually I think what made Johnny move again was the holy corpse. You see, at the beginnig it is stated that in order for one to become a saint they must cause two miracles after death, and when Johnny recieved the corpse part and learned of tusk and the part's existence, it states that the two miracles Johnny will receive is hos stand, and "his lame feet will move". And many time through the part Johnny was able to move his legs, and in the final fight it was Johnny's motivation, it was basically implied to be a miracle through the part.
That’s possible, but I think the intention was a combination as his mobility symbolised his growth throughout the part, which itself has religious and developmental symbolic references.
You know Paris, France? In English, it's pronounced "Paris" but everyone else pronounces it without the "s" sound, like the French do. The Civil War arc and the Gettysburg Dream chapter is one of my favourite JoJo arcs, being up there with the Judgment arc from Part 3, the Kiss of Love and Revenge arc from Part 6 and Anasui's reintroduction chapter, also being from Part 6. God, Anasui is such a fox.
Actual mistake suggestion: When Valentine gets shot by Tusk Act 4, he is constantly struggling to avoid being dragged underground by the infinite spin... except when he's trying to get Johnny to shoot him and cancel out the infinite rotation,
I think that's because Tusk pummeled him so much that he was forced into the ground. Then he left the main universe, but was left in the same spot, so he was stuck underground, which he couldn't leave. Then he eventually went back to the main universe and was back at the crater, so he was above ground. The lack of visible rotation can be explained as a stylistic choice, we still see it being done in a couple panels even when most of him isn't being rotated.
The biggest Araki Forgot is during the Justice arc of Part 3 when Enya meets with Hol Horse. Araki, for one panel drew enya without the bandage covering one of her hands. Very minor, but I think it counts.
I love this series of videos, and I'm happy that someone finally done it. It's just that about D4C, there are still some details that are not explained in the video. In the three perspectives of Johnny, Wekapipo and Diego, they are illustrated like three different universes since 1. There is small time lag between different perspectives. (I may be wrong since there isn’t a direct statement. However, what the story was represented did seem like so to me. Especially in Diego’s perspective, while he even had time to get into the building and went out before leading Wekapipo to the lane. ) 2. In each perspective, Diego and Wekapipo’s conversation has slight alternation. Also, there isn’t a clear panel that shows Wekapipo being brought back to the base universe after shooting the alternate universe Johnny. Same as Diego, if he shot the alternate Johnny. Finally, it isn’t directly shown that the witnesses are brought to base universe from the alternate universes, although it is a possible explanation. If you can make a video to explain how D4C works, I will truly appreciate!
The theory that Sandman and Soundman are two different people isn't too far fetched. In one scene of the manga, we see the forearm of "Sandman's" Stand coming out of his arm. Later on, when we see "Soundman's" In a Silent Way reveal itself completely, the forearm looks different. Given D4C's ability, it is possible that Soundman could be from another universe.
As a fan who started w/ the anime and has so far read up to Part 8, I'm somewhat proud of myself for being able to have some level of reading comprehension for JoJo as a whole. I've only had 2 moments that I couldn't explainin, that this video made me understand the scene better.
8:08 This would be a good explanation... if the tribal folk didn’t also use the first spelling in the Japanese texts as opposed to his “actual” name...

Its pretty reasonable for someone with araki's workstyle to make several mistakes. I feel like a few of your rationalizations of inconsistancies is a bit too far fetched. The explanation that he just picks up the horse makes perfect sense and made me laugh hysterically. Thank you. I was actually wondering myself and was unable to put 2 and 2 together between the missing hoof prints and time stop. But considering a horse would move much more in 5 seconds than it does during timestop, it makes perfect sense. Thank you.
not so much an "araki forgot" but just something i noticed. valentine has so many oppertunities to move people into other universes and just leave them there if he wanted, and yet we never get a character who ends up like that. i think that would've been a cool "character death" where we, for all functional purposes, permanently lose a character since they are in another universe forever now.
I also thought of that. This is a series where you lose your fav character because he turns into a turtle, but not because the villain used his ability in a coherent way
I'm surprised how many people don't accept the idea of The World carrying the horse. Stands constantly pick stuff up, The World lifted a massive steam roller like 50 feet into the air in a few seconds, it can definitely pick up a horse. One example of this that I think about a lot though is in part 4. I didn't check if it's anime only, but in the harvest fight, Crazy Diamond and The Hand pull josuke and okuyasu up a building to chase shigechi. So, could their stands just grab them around the waist and literally just fly? Their stands would still be close range effective, and they can obviously move up and down relative to the user

Something about Hot Pants’s Stand:
Since we don’t see her “phasing” her stand out and only putting in that place where a gun would usually be, I thought that the stand would work as a physical object that can outlive the user itself, kínd of Anubis (the stand that lived in a sword in part 3).
Yeah I thought this was known? Its a physical stand and so even one from another dimension can be used by anyone, even a non-stand user can see and use it.

What people have to remember is that from part 7 onward the rules of stands change a little bit, and we have yet (probably) to discover still in all the ways they have.
The most terrifying of which is that Jesus had a stand that could bring back the dead
Why would he not clarify that Diego and Wekapipo shot a different version of him?
yea, I have to agree
I feel like Hamon Beat is trying too hard to rationalize some things that Araki actually forgot/made mistakes with.
@Ionut Makz oh, well Im retarded
18:58 so not only can I imagine dio running down the steps, picking up polnareff, going down the steps, and then going back up the steps, but now I can imagine Diego getting of his horse, and PICKING UP HIS HORSE, for like 3 meters, then getting back on the horse💀

It's become tradition for me to watch these Videos after finishing these parts to clear up some of my own confusion and misconceptions.
And was it lock in a chamber right after he finish the steel ball race?
It was explained in Part 8 that the kid Gyro was trying to save was exchanged for Johnny being able to walk, hence why the kid died at the end

A good example of something like this is Stray Cat's air bullets, because Hyato saw these bullets perfectly fine.
Hayato couldn't see the air bullets. He stated that he could see the air distorting around them, not that he could see the air bullets.
araki's prob watching this like "oh dude i totally forgot that"
Actual mistake suggestion: When Valentine gets shot by Tusk Act 4, he is constantly struggling to avoid being dragged underground by the infinite spin... except when he's trying to get Johnny to shoot him and cancel out the infinite rotation,
Johnny stops rotationing him?
Yeah that was mostly a plot hole for the moment
@@diegodankquixote-wry3242 counter theory: vs ZA WARUDO and Diego the world
I think that's because Tusk pummeled him so much that he was forced into the ground.
That's just how anime/manga is. Same reason why DIO is able to have several minutes of monologue in stopped time.
I find it fitting that Diego kept his powers, as stands is an extention of your personality. Diego truly is a scary monster, so he managed to keep it

Some people just don't read it right, and that's pretty normal.
part 6 is amazing, i loved it so much i read it at a slower pace than with part 7
In the three perspectives of Johnny, Wekapipo and Diego, they are illustrated like three different universes since
1. There is small time lag between different perspectives. (I may be wrong since there isn’t a direct statement. However, what the story was represented did seem like so to me. Especially in Diego’s perspective, while he even had time to get into the building and went out before leading Wekapipo to the lane. )

Though I agree that the "Araki forgot" meme has kinda gone too far, araki DOES make continuity errors and has admitted to it if Im not mistaken.

Thank you.
I really really really enjoyed reading part 7
not so much an "araki forgot" but just something i noticed. valentine has so many oppertunities to move people into other universes and just leave them there if he wanted, and yet we never get a character who ends up like that. i think that would've been a cool "character death" where we, for all functional purposes, permanently lose a character since they are in another universe forever now.
I also thought of that. This is a series where you lose your fav character because he turns into a turtle, but not because the villain used his ability in a coherent way
I feel like people are just looking for mistakes that dont exist at this point.
19:00 the comical image of Diego picking up the horse and carry it in time stop is now stuck in my head.
Their stands would still be close range effective, and they can obviously move up and down relative to the user
the thought of diego using the world and then picking up and moving his horse in stopped time has me HOWLING
