The Main Villain's stand: Crazy Equals Genius - By entering a separate timeless universe, he can delete things in order to create something with an equal value, but no-one knows how he actually gets the items he replaces things with.
I don't like it a whole lot. The concept is cool but not only is it confusing, but D4C's ability was retconned from "Allowing neighbouring worlds to coexist" to "I can travel to different neighbouring worlds and pull people in with me".
I can generate levels of luck to however i want to a certain extent, while also making you realize the greed youve had all along, and erase some of you personality and memories... but like once per person
Imagine if a stands ability could only be used while a half mile away from any person named jeff when jeff is eating a ketchup sandwich, and while wearing a blue suit while speaking Gaelic backwards with a piece of gum on their forehead while its raining. Just brainstorming the most convoluted requirements for a ability for no fucking reason.
Knowing Araki if this were to be an actual stand ability, the effects of it would be instantly killing someone and combine it with the 400 IQ package almost every JoJo character has(sorry Okuyasu but you got the 40 IQ package) it'll kill someone
Its pretty simple once you think of JoJo main villain abilities like different functions on a VCR or TV The World is a pause button Bites the dust is rewind King Crimson is the "skip" function Made in heaven is fast forward And D4C is the equivalent of changing the channel
@@soulcrossing4310 Wonder of U is more like picking up the remote, accidentally knocking over something causing a Domino effect that ends with the TV falling on you, your head smashing through the sceeen, electrocuting you to death.

You can always place a limitation on these abilities and make it work. The worst outcome is it coming into conflict with the character or narrative themes. The original version could require the effected targets have the same desire for the effect to manifest. The problem here is that Wekipipo had no intention of directly killing Johnny at this point. However, he was considering betraying them for staying on the winning side. Therefore, it could be said that D4C's ability is to make the final decision for people who's hearts are clouded, much like a president decides the fate of his country. Araki had something here, he just decided that the original D4C power focused on having Valentine manipulate people's motivations rather than how the final version manifests his unwavering personal conviction. Hell, it's so strong that literally every other universe's Valentine's have the same personality and conviction.
i’m glad to hear this because i’m spoiled and i haven’t read steel ball run yet. the thing is with jojo, if you finish the anime, after that, you get spoiled for the manga cause there’s no stopping it. i got so impatient i actually started to read the manga
It took me much longer to understand king crimson, but I eventually fully understood it; but it took me less time to understand most D4C’s abilities, but took me forever to understand the whole “who shot Johnny” part
Part 10: Okay so like he takes time, outs it in his magic time oven and he bakes it for a few minutes until it becomes a nice sweet baguette. Afterwards his stand eats the baguette causing all of the characters to lose their perception of time for whichever part of the baguette he ate. For example if he eats the right end then they lose perception of the future for a few minutes, if he eats the left end they forget the previous hour, and if he eats the middle then they basically just pass out for a few minutes. His secondary ability is that he can take the baguette and he can unwrap the crust on it, and he can see everything that is, will, or has happened anywhere in existence. His finally requiem ability is the he can actually take time and instead of baking it he can knead it in order to control time. Stopping time, reversing time, or fast forwarding time.
Comming fresh from finishing that part, I think D4C has a second ability which works more of an area of effect. Basically, if out of combat and focused, the dimensions are actually fusing and blurring together, maybe if only localized. But when used directy, Funny Valentine can use it to switch dimensions and bring people without their wallets with them. Or, you know, the stand changed when Funny Valentine got hot after closing the door.
The World has a range of 10 meters and is easily strong enough to lift a swole Frenchman, so I don't see why people assume DIO would take the risk of appearing "laggy" by walking over to Polnareff, moving him, and rushing back up.
@@givemeanameiwillhate9525 It would still have the issue of DIO needing to pose back in the exact same spot perfectly or else he will look like he's lagging. Plus using the World is just so much easier.

For those who are still confused after this 23 minute long explanation: When Wekapipo shot Johnny, and when Diego shot Johnny, those were two different universes/dimensions existing at the same time. However, Only the twins saw Wekapipo shoot Johnny because that’s what they saw in their universe, and the twins only saw Diego for the Same reason. So in short, both universes kind of merged together (I’m also pretty confused still so most of the stuff here would be incorrect probably)
This explanation doesn't work because: Diego and Wekapipo both met after they shot Johnny, without getting "closed" by D4C in between time, so how do they met if they were in two different universes when they shot Johnny? They only got "closed" once when they were fighting "Wekapipo" and Valentine behind the flag.
@@windflier1684 during the shooting they were transported to the base universe, This could mean the bade wekapipo nd diego were placed in altnernate universes off screen, or more likely the corpse part being only in the base universe was forgotten or not written yet as it wasn’t a important distinction yet, Kinda makes more sense rather than the main villains ability changes, a small minor thing is changed that can be easily forgotten
@@bloxer9563 we know that alternate universe has slight differences and the corpse part will be change into something that is equivalent valuable (because corpse part exist in the base one are op) so maybe in infinite universes, there will be one where money becomes the equivalent to the corpse part, meaning that bringing equivalent to corpse part is not allowed in other universes. This can be proven because valentine never store corpse parts in other universe, even tho it wouldn't be destroyed which means that every corpse and its equivalent is the only thing that d4c can't bring
As someone who did a bit of Blender (aka, actual torture) in college, i can definitely say with confidence: i would rather get hit by a car than be forced to do that. Mad respect.
There's a definitely a retcon in D4C's ability, if they ever make an anime, some of the things in this arc will be changed such as the time for each event will be stretched to allow valentine to have more time to switch everyone up or some of the events in universe 2 and 3 will be changed as to not include corpse parts. Maybe at first before the retcon, the corpse parts existed in every universe and D4C was supposed to exist concurrently in every universe as well, with no base universe at all. This is still my favorite arc in the entire jojo franchise despite how confusing it is.
The corpse parts can't exist in all universes cus if it did valentine will easily get all of it If it really should exist then there must be a rule that corpse part of the same verse only give power and not every limb head from other universes put together
@@ZA_ULF Don't you love it when Araki introduces a rule to keep something about the story consistent and then just FORGETS about it once and it breaks the story?
Honestly, I think that D4C's ability in its reveal chapter was way cooler than its power later on. Instead of traveling to alt-dimensions, it could cause multiple events from different dimensions to overlap with one another. I think I'm just biased against alternative dimension plotlines, as they can get really confusing. (Yes, I'm looking at you, Bioshock Infinite.)
Bioshock Infinite's writing is just bad, especially the Burial at Sea part 2. I doubt even the writers themselves truly understand what the fuck they were writing.

Ok, what if, (and bare with me I've never watch jojo but I'm curious) king crimson can replace time. I think a good way to explain it would be with visuals, if you used the 3D models to show from above, with Base, Universe 1, 2, 3. Then you can just drag and drop the characters into the base universe so it’s easier to understand

Okay, so to explain D4C's original ability, it could basically swap out sections of reality with other universes. The reason why the old artist knew that Valentine shot Johnny was it's original weakness, that being there would be certain sections of reality he couldn't swap out, hence why he couldn't affect the old man

@@Kaedaii precisely, but in the fact that it sucks is why it could be so deadly, remember the sun's ability he made them wander though a scorching desert until they found his hiding place (and he almost killed the team).
Ok, to make matters short, basically, D4C's ability is to fuse realities by superposing certain regions of said worlds without merging entire realities altogether, because D4C can only use so many mediums to serve as convergence points between worlds (like doors, but in higher dimensions of reality), like a flag or other objects. The catch is that Funny Valantine is not present everywhere, just anywhere in any given reality, so if he uses his ability, he can only connect a limited amount of realities within a limited space at a limited time, at least from what I understand, and so, he can only use it under specific circumstances that allow him to join two or more worlds, depending on the circumstances. The topology of said worlds matter as well, as not all objects or people are neccesarily present "everywhere", just "anywhere" in some other reality, so if there is no connection between different realities by which to connect them, the ability will not work and no "pathway" will be created. As such, and because there are as many realities as there are ice cream flavors, only parallel and alternate universes that are associated with the "convergence point" in time and space (in other words, universes where America, Steel Ball Run and characters exist the same exact way, regardless of the "before" and "after" that point) can connect with each other. This is proven by the fact that Funny Valentine, as far as his ability goes, cannot superpose "a Johnny" with another if they don't exist in the same relative axis of space time continuum, so it's limited to the present time and space within all universes, while the past and future times and spaces cannot be accessed by Valentine because he only lives in the "present" of each reality and not before and after that specific point. This also explains why he can only specifically choose those characters within certain locations, since the closest ones to Johnny in each and every world relative to their own are the ones that exist at the same time in all worlds that have those specific moments in common, so a dissimilar reality cannot be accessed, and it'd be useless either way, because D4C cannot superpose entire realities since he isn't God. All he can do is temporarily enable certain dimensions to coexist, so even if he were to bring someone else from a completely dissimilar reality/world/universe/timeline, like say, Giorno o Jotaro from Part 3, 4, 5 or 6, the person in question would only be there for a short time until eventually realities diverge in temporal events through time and space (like two versions eating breakfast at the same time, the same way and at the same place, but once they finish eating, both versions go seperate ways, so there is no "convergence point" by which to unite people in a perpendicular dimension, or in simple terms, "you can't shake hands with another if you're 50 meters away from them", just that, instead of being a matter of 3D distance, it's all kinds of higher-dimension distancing). This explains some things: 1. As long as the events in each universe is, for the most part, exactly the same, any event that happens before and after the "present"of each universe is irrelevant. In other words, it could be that, in different worlds, the order of events is different, but a single moment in time remains majorly the same, like when many people are present in a certain location within multiple realities. So, for instance, there could be a world that not only has a Diego that took different choices, but that his choices were not the only ones different. So, say for instance, thar Diego saw the the woman being transported at a certain point of time because it was the doctor's decision to mobilize her. As such, that same exact scenario could happen in an alternate universe relatively before or after. Put simply, the events, to a certain digree, cannot happen "everywhere at every time" when the universe merge, but it can happen "anywhere at any time", so if an event occurs, say, 3 minutes earlier, in another world it happens 20 minutes later, -5, 4, etc. Basically, each universe has it's own different events as well as the order they happen in, so certain events may be happening before and after the time established within the base universe without actually happening at the same time as the base universe, so from Diego and co.'s perspective, certain events might have already happened by the time they were superposed in a specific point in time common to all three universes at once with the base universe and viceversa (haven't happened yet or at all in contrast). Also, I believe you are wrong about the whole concept of "superposing universes". Let me explain. So, for starters, just because certain areas of many worlds are superposed doesn't mean that all characters exist everywhere in a specific location. What I mean by that is that superposing worlds isn't as simple as saying that they are all "the same" now. All three remain intact. It's only the area of effect that has a direct influence of its surroundings, so just because in one universe, all three possibilities exist at the same time doesn't mean that on the other two universes, thise same events are happening. For instance, let's say you can look through three different windows which exist right next to each other. You are in a spot centric to all those windows, and as such, you can choose to look through any of the three windows, but not all three at once. That's basicalky what's happening here, just that it's a bit more complex. You have U1, U2 and U3. Valentine makes a window on U1 to U2 and U3, and the point between all three windows is in the exact same position, but in different worlds, so if a shooting occurs in U1 within a certain location as U2 and U3, it can then be viewed by any universe, but not neccesarily all of them. So, say that an event in U2 and U3 is superposed with U1, but U1's events are not visible in U2 or U3, and U2 and U3 can't see what happened within each other. That would make sense because the focus on where the superposition is projected to is also important, so if it's only visible in U1, U2 and U3 cannot see what happens beyond a certain degree of superpositioning, meaning that in U2 and U3, cain people can see "something"that may be happening in it's universe or U1, but doesn't mean that U2 or U3 are looking at all 3 possibilities simultanously, only Universe 1. So, if the kids and the artist in universes U2 and U3 only saw one of the three outcomes and in U1, all outcomes are visible, then U1's kids and artist witnessed all 3 events, while the kids in U2 and U3 only witnessed a single event in each. Finally, about the corpses' parts situation: It is possible that Araki made a mistake or didn't care. Either way, either the corpse exists in a single universe, or exists in all. We're going with the former. Going by the logic of the corpse existing in the base universe only, a simple question: Why doesn't it exist in other universes? I believe the answer is simple, and that's because either they were speaking of a corpse different from the base universe, but being the alternate version of the base universe's corpse, it isn't the same, and so, the base universe's corpse remains exclusive to that particular universe, while other corpses that are different exist having th same significance, but as their own seperate thing, and have no relationship with the base universe's corpse. That, or U2 and U3 don't really exist, and it's really just the "phantom" of U1 made real to a degree, and so, U2 and U3 would just be like a sort of "imperfect replica" that have inconsistancies within is as a side effect of Valentine messing around with superpositions and dimensions so much. To be quite honest, I made the last one up! XD But in all seriousness, I do think the former is quite possible, specially considering that in U2 and U3, historical events and people may be different and as such, also the corpses of dead people with the same amount of value as the base universe's corpse, which would make U1 special and distinct from the rest, while also explaining why "the corpse" exists in other universes, and it's simply because the corpses aren't the same. They just have the same or similar values and properties, so it would be strange for peopke to know about it.
That's a much better and more thorough explanation of the events that transpired than what most people have I have my own explanation that deals with why I think Hamon Beat, Xforts and Bizarre Star Platinum's explanations don't work enough That explanation (like yours) also tries to make conclusions regarding the extent of the ability of coexistence, enough so that it at least works out at the end It's a bit difficult to explain as it requires one to talk about 4 different perspectives and possible explanations for everything we see on the pages But here we go Here is my central thesis: Hamon Beat's explanation in Debunking Araki Forgot for Part 7 and Xforts explanation in his most confusing stand video are required viewing for what I am about to discuss I will attempt to clarify everything but to understand the sheer scope of confusion, perhaps it's best to first look at the eminent JoJotubers I would also highly recommend Bizarre Star Platinum's video D4C Stand Analysis(though he subscribes to the "retcon" hypothesis) If D4C's ability is coexistence of parallel dimensions(coexistence), it sort of explains Johnny's experience as he narrates it to Gyro, but would contradict the whole base universe thing as people from neighbouring worlds (I would later go on to elucidate on what neighbouring even means here further later on) would somehow know about If it is going between and transporting stuff to and fro from the base universe to parallel universe(dimension hop), it could potentially explain all 3 accounts(though it would need to be expertly timed to a ridiculous degree) but would contradict Johnny's perspective he narrates to Gyro It also seems that it's important to make a distinction between parallel universe(which I would call neighbouring universe, whose overall characters and powers and stuff line up with our own) vs alternate universe (something like DIEGO's THE WORLD universe) We know that whatever happens, ALL 3 of them HAVE to see Johnny Joestar turn into a hole and leave the sewers We also know that whatever happens, somehow, someway or the other, the meeting between Wekapipo and Diego has to happen and in Diego's account, Diego has to acknowledge that he did (seemingly) shoot Johnny but the one who shot Johnny was Valentine as explained by Diego's smelling ability to which Wekapipo has to respond that he was the one who shot him This completely rules out the possibility that Johnny's account of having been shot by both Diego and Wekapipo and seeing Valentine between horses(seemingly only possible provided that both Diego and Wekapipo somehow coexist as per the original D4C explanation) is somehow compatible with the case where all base universe Diego and base universe Wekapipo are transported to parallel worlds(i.e. the later "retconned" D4C power) Only the base universe has the corpse and so only characters from the base universe can know about the corpse We know from later in the arc that parts of the corpse can indeed be transported to a different universe using D4C as the left eye is transported from base universe Diego through the flag, so it is not far fetched to assume that Lucy could also be transported provided that there is some way to merge all the corpse parts(let's forget the possibility of corpse parts being potentially forever separated in the case where Valentine might die potentially with some parts being in a different universe) But since we are told that the corpse parts in the universe are unique and only those from the base universe can know about them in the first place, we know that the Diego and Wekapipo from the arc are most certainly from the base universe, that has been established Also note that Diego is transported to a different world through the flag later but only his top half, which was supposedly the same as the one he was just in, enabling Diego to be rescued by Johnny in this parallel reality (one with his top half) and later on meet Johnny in base reality(his bottom half). This also explains that Johnny was shot in 3 different realities since both were wounded Both share the same bullet holes? Could it just be a coincidence? I mean Valentine can't control where Diego and Wekapipo shoot. This does get explained to some extent it seems as Diego states that the world he was transported to was "just the way it was back in the base world"(paraphrased). This leads on to the question of why didn't Valentine transport him to a world with a situation much more different than the situation in the root world as that would've meant that he wouldn't have Johnny and Wekapipo to deal with(such a world certainly exists as Valentine works within infinite possibilities of both alternate and parallel world with the only requirement being the existence of one base world and one D4C) but whatever, I guess he didn't consider doing that because of the sheer domination. The Johnny we see after Diego was pulled back was from the base world Johnny as he later recalls the death of Wekapipo when talking to Gyro. That is obvious. The JoJo wiki suggests that Valentine might have 3 abilities which he uses: Coexistence, dimensional hopping and showing people visions of different realities(a necessity when it comes to Johnny's account) limited by a single D4C Perhaps universe alignment works in conjunction with dimensional hops and that might actually explain what happens in the later arcs as well As in, Valentine can allow different realities to coexist simultaneously in the same place, make people in certain realities see things of different realities simultaneously, which can be used on Johnny to see the alternate ways in which he was shot and even on Diego to make him see Lucy in the Independence Hall(this might actually not be necessary) and of course, dimensional hops In this scenario(with some flexibility in the conversation between Wekapipo and Diego), provided that the rules of D4C during the separation into parallel realities to the eventual merger are different than the ones shown later Johnny needs to be replaced and Wekapipo needs to be transported and stuff. Here is one possible way I could rationalize this(bordering on theorizing even, though this isn't strictly necessary): I am going to assume a few things: D4C can use one of 2 possible sets of powers, both useful in their own way: Splitting base into parallel reality(used for Diego and Wekapipo) while enabling some people to see different realities than the one they exist and merging them back into a single reality(during a split, there is a base character, so there will be a Diego split and a Wekapipo split, a split is an alternate reality. when a split is merged, OR bringing people from one reality to another). Both are useful in their own right as splitting with can be used to trick someone to see something different from a different reality Wekapipo was ambushed by Valentine, split into a coexistent reality upon contact with the flag and made to think that he shot Johnny from this alternate reality, then brought to the base through the merger Diego was in base world and later split off into an alternate reality(I think this happened after Valentine saw Diego infiltrating the Independence Hall and recognized him as we can see from his words later), saw Wekapipo from a different reality, ended up shooting Wekapipo who got replaced by Johnny's corpse definitely from an alternate world(as the base world Johnny saw President come back from the door and also saw Diego come back through the flag) that was shot by Valentine(has to be true as per Diego). I believe that when Diego touched the flag, that was when D4C transported him to the place where there was alternate Johnny for him to shoot, this was also when I think he made Diego see base Wekapipo through the vision ability and after Diego climbed the building, that is around the time the merger happened Valentine shot base world Johnny and made him see the events in Diego and Wekapipo reality instead, noticed that Diego and Wekapipo were in place and later merged the different realities together before the fight with Diego and Wekapipo began. This merger would explain the sponge analogy as different realities and possibilities, same place, same time were merged together on the same plane as the base world. Valentine also knew that all the pieces were in place as he saw that Diego and Wekapipo having experienced the events that happened in parallel realities have now merged And base Johnny's claim of being shot by Wekapipo and Diego cause of President's ability is now true in his perspective, his claim of seeing Valentine between horses is also true in this perspective, his claim of the disappearance of Valentine is also true in this perspective(as Valentine would just show him the different realities of Wekapipo and Diego) Now the fact that all of them shot in the exact same spots, could not be chalked down to either of these abilities, unless we assume that the splits are infinite i.e. there are infinite Diego splits, infinite Wekapipo splits and that only the splits with the convenient trait that they shoot in the same location are allowed to merge together, else they're disallowed, this once again plays into the sponge analogy of sponges filling just the right holes. Now it is possible that the alternate conversations or the slight changes might just be because some splits might not be merged, so we might be seeing an unused parallel reality here, although this is very far-fetched
I’m an anime only and decided to try and follow along just to see what was up, but then you said something about a race and holy corpse parts and a left eyeball and that’s where I start having no clue what’s going on
I don't know if you figured it out yet, but I'll try to explain it anyway. Potential spoilers ahead. Parts 7 and 8 take place in an alternate universe (not the Ireneverse) that's supossedly unrelated to the main one. Basically, in this universe, Jesus died in North America for some reason and his corpse split in nine parts (one of them being the left eyeball). These corpse parts can merge with those who find them and potentially grant them Stand powers (similarily to the Stand Arrows, which are gone now btw); one of these parts, the heart, being the one who granted the president of the USA Funny Valentine his stand D4C, and another one, the left arm, giving Johnny Joestar, the universe's counterpart of Jonathan and main JoJo of Part 7, the Stand Tusk. In order to scout the rest of the country and obtain the rest of the Corpse Parts, Valentine helps Steven Steel organize the Steel Ball Run, a 6000km-long horse race (although there was also a camel, a car and some guy running on foot, for some reason) between San Diego and New York City. The part revolves about Johnny, who wants the corpse to ascend in social status from a rather negative position and sacrifice it later so that it doesn't end in wrong hands, Gyro Zepelli, who is the universe's Will Antonio Zepelli and wants to preserve the corpse, Diego Brando, who is the universe's Dio and wants the corpse to be a jurassic asshole (as usual), Funny Valentine himself, who wants to make America great again, and Hot Pants, a nun who feels guilty for feeding her brother to a bear when she was young and desires to gather the corpse for God's forgiveness, all competing for it. BTW, hamon is kinda back, but now it's kinetic energy instead of the power of the sun. Hope I explained it well.

He can choose which aspects of each alternate universe carry over to the base universe. Even his nickname D4C is a result of his ability: him merging the words of the stands name into one. The only issue is Arakis inconsistencies but I tried my best.
I honestly understood this for the most part when I first read it. I initially thought valentine had a stand allowing him to teleport between American flags (lol)but the only thing confusing me on first read was when wekapipo shot the man in the flag and it just happened to randomly turned into Johnny and when wekapipo died then it turned into Johnny 😂

Imagine the kind of convoluted BS we'd have had to read if Araki stuck with the first ability for the whole part lol

A STAND THAT IS A GAUNTLET, WITH SIX STONES.
Comming fresh from finishing that part, I think D4C has a second ability which works more of an area of effect. For those who are still confused after this 23 minute long explanation:
When Wekapipo shot Johnny, and when Diego shot Johnny, those were two different universes/dimensions existing at the same time.

There's a definitely a retcon in D4C's ability, if they ever make an anime, some of the things in this arc will be changed such as the time for each event will be stretched to allow valentine to have more time to switch everyone up or some of the events in universe 2 and 3 will be changed as to not include corpse parts.
This explains some things:
Finally, about the corpses' parts situation:
It is possible that Araki made a mistake or didn't care.
XD
But in all seriousness, I do think the former is quite possible, specially considering that in U2 and U3, historical events and people may be different and as such, also the corpses of dead people with the same amount of value as the base universe's corpse, which would make U1 special and distinct from the rest, while also explaining why "the corpse" exists in other universes, and it's simply because the corpses aren't the same. They just have the same or similar values and properties, so it would be strange for peopke to know about it.
You know it's confusing when the "short" answer is a whole ass essay

Yiu get a like for effort and execution
That's a much better and more thorough explanation of the events that transpired than what most people have
I have my own explanation that deals with why I think Hamon Beat, Xforts and Bizarre Star Platinum's explanations don't work enough
That explanation (like yours) also tries to make conclusions regarding the extent of the ability of coexistence, enough so that it at least works out at the end
It's a bit difficult to explain as it requires one to talk about 4 different perspectives and possible explanations for everything we see on the pages
But here we go
Here is my central thesis:
Hamon Beat's explanation in Debunking Araki Forgot for Part 7 and Xforts explanation in his most confusing stand video are required viewing for what I am about to discuss
I will attempt to clarify everything but to understand the sheer scope of confusion, perhaps it's best to first look at the eminent JoJotubers
I would also highly recommend Bizarre Star Platinum's video D4C Stand Analysis(though he subscribes to the "retcon" hypothesis)
If D4C's ability is coexistence of parallel dimensions(coexistence), it sort of explains Johnny's experience as he narrates it to Gyro, but would contradict the whole base universe thing as people from neighbouring worlds (I would later go on to elucidate on what neighbouring even means here further later on) would somehow know about
If it is going between and transporting stuff to and fro from the base universe to parallel universe(dimension hop), it could potentially explain all 3 accounts(though it would need to be expertly timed to a ridiculous degree) but would contradict Johnny's perspective he narrates to Gyro
It also seems that it's important to make a distinction between parallel universe(which I would call neighbouring universe, whose overall characters and powers and stuff line up with our own) vs alternate universe (something like DIEGO's THE WORLD universe)
We know that whatever happens, ALL 3 of them HAVE to see Johnny Joestar turn into a hole and leave the sewers
We also know that whatever happens, somehow, someway or the other, the meeting between Wekapipo and Diego has to happen and in Diego's account, Diego has to acknowledge that he did (seemingly) shoot Johnny but the one who shot Johnny was Valentine as explained by Diego's smelling ability to which Wekapipo has to respond that he was the one who shot him
This completely rules out the possibility that Johnny's account of having been shot by both Diego and Wekapipo and seeing Valentine between horses(seemingly only possible provided that both Diego and Wekapipo somehow coexist as per the original D4C explanation) is somehow compatible with the case where all base universe Diego and base universe Wekapipo are transported to parallel worlds(i.e. the later "retconned" D4C power)
Only the base universe has the corpse and so only characters from the base universe can know about the corpse
We know from later in the arc that parts of the corpse can indeed be transported to a different universe using D4C as the left eye is transported from base universe Diego through the flag, so it is not far fetched to assume that Lucy could also be transported provided that there is some way to merge all the corpse parts(let's forget the possibility of corpse parts being potentially forever separated in the case where Valentine might die potentially with some parts being in a different universe)
But since we are told that the corpse parts in the universe are unique and only those from the base universe can know about them in the first place, we know that the Diego and Wekapipo from the arc are most certainly from the base universe, that has been established
Also note that Diego is transported to a different world through the flag later but only his top half, which was supposedly the same as the one he was just in, enabling Diego to be rescued by Johnny in this parallel reality (one with his top half) and later on meet Johnny in base reality(his bottom half). This also explains that Johnny was shot in 3 different realities since both were wounded
Both share the same bullet holes?
The JoJo wiki suggests that Valentine might have 3 abilities which he uses: Coexistence, dimensional hopping and showing people visions of different realities(a necessity when it comes to Johnny's account) limited by a single D4C
Perhaps universe alignment works in conjunction with dimensional hops and that might actually explain what happens in the later arcs as well
As in, Valentine can allow different realities to coexist simultaneously in the same place, make people in certain realities see things of different realities simultaneously, which can be used on Johnny to see the alternate ways in which he was shot and even on Diego to make him see Lucy in the Independence Hall(this might actually not be necessary) and of course, dimensional hops
In this scenario(with some flexibility in the conversation between Wekapipo and Diego), provided that the rules of D4C during the separation into parallel realities to the eventual merger are different than the ones shown later Johnny needs to be replaced and Wekapipo needs to be transported and stuff.
Here is one possible way I could rationalize this(bordering on theorizing even, though this isn't strictly necessary):
I am going to assume a few things: D4C can use one of 2 possible sets of powers, both useful in their own way: Splitting base into parallel reality(used for Diego and Wekapipo) while enabling some people to see different realities than the one they exist and merging them back into a single reality(during a split, there is a base character, so there will be a Diego split and a Wekapipo split, a split is an alternate reality. when a split is merged, OR bringing people from one reality to another). Both are useful in their own right as splitting with can be used to trick someone to see something different from a different reality
Wekapipo was ambushed by Valentine, split into a coexistent reality upon contact with the flag and made to think that he shot Johnny from this alternate reality, then brought to the base through the merger
Diego was in base world and later split off into an alternate reality(I think this happened after Valentine saw Diego infiltrating the Independence Hall and recognized him as we can see from his words later), saw Wekapipo from a different reality, ended up shooting Wekapipo who got replaced by Johnny's corpse definitely from an alternate world(as the base world Johnny saw President come back from the door and also saw Diego come back through the flag) that was shot by Valentine(has to be true as per Diego). I believe that when Diego touched the flag, that was when D4C transported him to the place where there was alternate Johnny for him to shoot, this was also when I think he made Diego see base Wekapipo through the vision ability and after Diego climbed the building, that is around the time the merger happened
Valentine shot base world Johnny and made him see the events in Diego and Wekapipo reality instead, noticed that Diego and Wekapipo were in place and later merged the different realities together before the fight with Diego and Wekapipo began. This merger would explain the sponge analogy as different realities and possibilities, same place, same time were merged together on the same plane as the base world. Valentine also knew that all the pieces were in place as he saw that Diego and Wekapipo having experienced the events that happened in parallel realities have now merged
And base Johnny's claim of being shot by Wekapipo and Diego cause of President's ability is now true in his perspective, his claim of seeing Valentine between horses is also true in this perspective, his claim of the disappearance of Valentine is also true in this perspective(as Valentine would just show him the different realities of Wekapipo and Diego)
Now the fact that all of them shot in the exact same spots, could not be chalked down to either of these abilities, unless we assume that the splits are infinite
i.e. there are infinite Diego splits, infinite Wekapipo splits and that only the splits with the convenient trait that they shoot in the same location are allowed to merge together, else they're disallowed, this once again plays into the sponge analogy of sponges filling just the right holes.
