I think Dio's breath wasn't actually a mistake. Or rather, it's easy to explain away. It was the last of his breath leaving his lungs after becoming a vampire.
@@JojoTheVulture That's irrelevant when considering this line of logic makes it consistent with P2 while not doing any mental gymnastics. He was quite literally killed then and there, then we never see his breath again.
@@JojoTheVulture idk, a lot of vampire media makes special note of breath, and the lack there of. It seems like an extraordinarily simple detail as far as horror motifs.
It's funny how the actual mistakes are barely ever mentioned, like out of all things in this video the only one I've seen mentioned before is Dio's three moles.
tbh even I forgot about them until now. Strange how he actually did remember them for a while. They could've been a trait of Dio's family lineage like the Joestar, so Giorno and his sons from part 6 could've had them together with the star... but nope.
@@yoursonisold8743 Even if it requires some mental gymnastics, a good explanation for this was that he didn't explicitly tell Bruno that he could use any part of his body to give life, and so Bruno basically assumed it was just his hands. Giorno probably realized this at some point and thus made the brooch so as to keep team morale from dropping. Additionally, during the fight Giorno passed out from losing his hands.
Bruno: "Giorno! You created a spare hand ahead of time so you wouldn't lose your powers!" GioGio: "What? No I just wanted to start growing it as soon as possible... Does your stand work that way?" Trish: "ARE YOU TELLING ME I RISKED MY LIFE OVER A HAND THAT DIDN'T EVEN MATTER?!"
Polnareff thinking Avdol had fricking died because of him and met his depressed father only to find out the other Crusaders were trolling him about Avdol being dead and he'd been feeling sad for all that time for nothing: *_"Am I a joke to you?"_*
I guess a headcanon way to explain this sudden limitation is that Giorno might be too weakened at that moment to do much of anything. Slicing off your own hands in a very messy way would knock the golden wind out of anyone and reattaching fresh hands infused with some leftover life energy would help get him back up to full strength. The new hands took a lot longer to form than other Gold Experience creations
@@mrreyes5004 To be fair, Polnareff would have blabbered about Avdol surviving if he was not left out of the loop, so DIO probably would have sent someone to go finish Avdol off.
@@CherryPixelBun we also never see him use his healing ability specifically with his legs. I think it could be explained that his legs are less precise than his hands, and as such, aren’t able to heal body parts, even though they can make complete creatures.

He modeled them after people in older western fighting movies but eventually they became kinda hard to draw all the time so he decided to draw less buff characters.

On the subject of Straits' breath not fogging while Dio's did, Dio had just become a vampire, while Straits would have been a vampire for a few days by that point. Dio's body was still warm when we saw his breath fog.
Well, since dio does the same thing in the final battle of part one, idk if body heat can last that long. So its a possibility that vampires in jojo do breath but have an unnaturally cold breath, so if they breathe in room temperature like dio it will be foggy but in an environment with low temperature it won't. And as proof of this, not once has any other character's breath been visible in scenes where Dio's breath is .
according to this one quaro post i read you would need nearlt a ton of raw force to completely rip off a human head, i don't think a gorrile could do the movement of ripping off a human head with 1 ton of force, let alone an adrenaline rushed 6'8 athelete
I like to think that the vampire breath thing isn't a contradiction. Remember that breath from Dio was immediately after his transformation, it's possible that it was his "last breath" left over from his human body.
Araki Forgot moments according to fans: allegedly story-breaking plot-holes that can be easily explained. Actual Araki Forgot moments: irrelevant inconcistencies.
And those "actual moments" aren't even plot holes as much as artistic style or mistakes. The tiny horse thing was more than likely just an aesthetic choice. Honestly this video is absolutely garbo, his other videos in the series are a ton better from what I've seen.
Maybe Giorno can give inanimate things life by touching them with any part of his stand, but in order to replicate a specific part of a living organism with enough precision to become part of the entire organism he needs to use Gold Experience's hands. I mean, you need a lot of precision to replicate a human hand complete with bones, nerves, and all sorts of veins reattaching to the severed part of the body and all while starting from a brooch
I also re-read part 5 and noticed that Giorno initially has the power to give life to inanimate objects and turn them into complete living organisms by touching them with any part of his body. During the fight with Baby Face, however, Giorno says he "matured" and is shown to now have the ability to create PARTS of an organism that can be reattached to an entire organism and work normally afterwards. This looks to me like a different ability, and maybe that's why it doesn't work like his regular, simple life-giving one. It could explain why he has to use his hands for this ability to work, seeing as it requires more precision and it's not as simple as touching something and turning it into plant or an animal, and also explains why the "parts" that are created don't act the same way as the organisms created normally (meaning they don't have the property of reflecting any damage taken to the aggressor, because they are a different part of Gold Experience's ability, that has different mechanics)
I feel like this is the classic situation where I explained the facts and because it made sense, you got all butthurt in the feelings. You can't refute my points by saying: "It would've been explained", Araki doesn't explain a lot of things, but you can still understand most of them by carefully examining the details and reading between the lines. Just because you're lazy and you just want to say that he forgot, it doesn't mean that others can't read into things and make sense of them. Whether I'm right or wrong, it's the act of exploring the possibilities that is important
@@matteofaccin6636 Fair enough, however, he pretty much only doesn’t explain character motivations, meaning behind names, etc. He rigorously goes over the abilities and disadvantages of each of the characters in an entire page. So yeah, if he didn’t explain that, than it is a pretty big leap in logic to me. And, Bruno explains how he has to use his hands to activate it. Not that his hands have to be there in order for his power to work.
Fair point on Araki not explaining it, but Bruno never saw Giorno create life with anything except his hands. He didn't see the Black Sabbath fight, so he assumes that, just like Sticky Fingers, Gold Experience can only activate its ability through its fists. This is all speculation of course, but it does make sense to me
late ik, but that would also kinda ruin his character, his character is supposed to be a joke, and he is like Schrödinger's cat, in this case he might be a stand user, but he could also be an actual alien

Welp sorry but youre wrong. This is one of my least favorite things in jojo, but jojo characters are always telling the truth (except for narancia during talking heads fight and kakyoins ,,mirror" and ,,no one can deflect emeraldo splasho" ). Even shigeci that knows nothing about killer Queen knows for no reason that its a close range power stand. Its mantained in every part, that's why its such a big deal in phf when murolo lies about his stand power, because normally jojo characters are unable to lie. I wish araki would let them thou, he limits them that way... So no, if jojo characters say something, there always right, because they have to deliver exposition to the viewer.
Art mistakes aren’t really araki forgot. When trying to get a multi page chapter put every week mistakes happen, just look at the g1 transformers show nearly no character has a consistent look. TLDR: crunch leads to minor inconsistencies with art
KISS stand stats make sense if you view them as stats for the ability rather than the main stand itself. A Power - The effect can damage nearly everything if not everything with no size limit A Speed - The objects fly back together incredibly quickly A Range - There is seemingly no limit as too how far away the objects can be brought away from each other A Durability - The ability can be used repeatedly and is near impossible to destroy or prevent without something like GER C Precision - The ability is focused on one task only with a few other applications A Potential - The stand is not shown off much throughout the part so we don't know its true potential, it could possibly even hold the ability to duplicate stand objects and even stands themselves
Alright, but that raises another question, how in the world is Whitesnake's speed a D then? I know this is completely irrelevant, but it's something I want to point out, even looking at Whitesnake's ability, it's definitely not slow or below a human-like speed, in fact, technically since it seems to make the discs in its targets a bit beforehand, like with against Jolyne, when he talked about he he could almost just pinch it on out, and it showed a bit of the disc coming out, shouldn't that make it an incredibly fast ability speed if it's seemingly just relevant on if the person is being touched by the stand user at all?
@@asnailwithpizza9724 I would probably say that has to do with his mind-control/slime ability which he uses on Jolyene and Jotaro which was known to take some time
@@asnailwithpizza9724 A tad late, though the answer to this is that it was explained to be the acid attack Whitesnake uses. Remember, it takes quite awhile to do real damage
1:06 Though this is definitely an Araki Forgot moment, I personally just think that the reason he didn't see the breathe was because he was just not breathing at all. Think about it. He was a Hamon master, so it only makes sense that he makes Hamon with every single breathe he takes to the point he probably forgot how to normal breathe. If he is a vampire, he can accidentally self-destruct because he'll create Hamon subconsciously without batting an eye. So to remedy this, he just stopped breathing altogether. Dio didn't had to deal with this, because he knew absolutely nothing about Hamon other than it is sparkly magical vampire-killing breathe.
@@lostremnant also dio has just transformed when he can be seen breathing meaning he probably still had some hot air in his lungs while Straitzo has been a vampire for quite some time
@@zalanmarkus4939 I just assumed that vampires just breathed out colder air as part of their change, and straizo's breathing not being shown just happened to fit with that thought.
GE could just be upside down when he gives life to tree and branch part, cuz Giorno movements aren't restricted And it can be just remade to "stand requires 2 hands, but can give life with life with any limb".
I'm pretty sure Giorno can't just attach limbs with his feet, that's why he's unable to do precise things such as healing or replacing limbs without his two working hands.
Truth be told, by years I've been intrigued by those little horses. At first sight I interpreted them as Steven hability/stand used as means to oversee the race remotely (the tiny horses would represent and pinpoint the competitors). Later on, it became obvious that Steven Steel had no such habilities and was not a big controlling mastermind and puppetmaster of the race progress as I initially antecipated. Still, it's was an interesting, naturally sprouted concept at the time for me. Would be interesting if Steven had any such special habilities. Judging by his noble soul, strong principles and the bravery shown at the end (saving Johnny even), I would say that his character clearly had fighting spirit and stand potential.
Afterwards he is eventually revealed to be a simple, honored, but anxious and insecure with no bigger agenda or ambitions besides hosting that great event. It became obvious that he was only an good-ill promoter that was used by evil men. His purity of character was his flaw, exploited by others. Steven was solid on his beliefs, loyal to the end, and I believe he deserved more recognition.
Hey @Hamon Beat, I would love to hear your opinion about the matter, the underuse of the character and what did you think of my initial tiny horse stand hipothesis. Wouldn't it be neat?
He's so forgettable they didn't even explain what happened to him in the future like they did for the rest of the characters. Would've been nice to see a bit more of the Hamon masters in general
The two biggest araki forgot is Avdols dads, and his chickens They could easily be the strongest characters even being able to beat G.e.R. Huge mistake.
Its actually a cropped sound from the arcade game, Heritage to the Future, where Joseph says "Feel the beat of my hamon" or something like that in japanese
@@averonisgaming9023 "Kizamu-ze! Hamon no Bito!" is the full quote. Meaning: "Tear them apart! Hamon Beat!" And Young Joseph sends Hamon through the Super Aja. Like Lisa Lisa does in the manga/anime.
Another thing he actually forgot in a moment: In the original release of chapter 265 on the WSJ, Joseph mentions that his birthday is October 3, despite being listed as September 27 in previous publications. This is corrected in the volume release. This and also what we can also see in your Timeline inconsistencies video, Shows that what Araki really most forgets are the characters birthdays and ages, and not whole plots as people say
I mean it's pretty minor stuff to be honest, but I think that's the pont of HB, it doesn't relly matter, because JJBA is just that good. Maybe we can asume Straizo realised that, as a vampire he does not need to breathe, I mean as far as we know. Or maybe Dio still had "human air" in his lungs.
It's also possible that vampires don't need to breath, but still have working lungs. Dio could have simply been making deliberate use of this for the sake of appearing more intimidating.
Well I think its actually much simpler. Dio's body was still warm. Straizo was out and about in the cold air for minutes, maybe even hours at that point, and its fair to say hes been a vampire for days. Dio was a regular alive human just a minute before. Hes been dead and cold for at MOST 5 minutes, so it makes sense hed still be warm.
I feel like I heard from somewhere that Straizo actually had to completely change his breathing patterns since, you know, hamon is deadly to vampires. So maybe his breathing was just very irregular and sporadic, or he really wasn't breathing. I have no proof of this claim though, just wild speculation. Been a while since I watched part 2.
@@Fioriole That does make sense actually. Straizo was a hamon master as a human, and as such would have habitually breathed in a way that generated hamon. IIRC this was how he killed himself too. Dio never learned to use hamon as a human, and obviously never could after becoming a vampire.
JoJo kinda sucks. At least parts 1-5 do, I haven't read the manga. Edit: I said something this unpopular without backing it up and 2 days later no one cares. That's surprising. Well, I'm not complaining
1:08 I don't really see the problem with this. At that point Dio had only just became a vampire so his body temperature would be closer to a human making his breath visible.
regarding the Earth Wind and Fire, would be cool to keep both names the same proving Mikitaka is actually an alien so it's not the name of a stand but the name of an alien ability.

@@tuc-kaankaraayan Well, Gold Experience and Giorno himself definitely CAN create life with parts of their body other than their hands, so Bruno was flat-out wrong when he said that Gold Experience was like Sticky Fingers and needed to contact things with its hands in order to change them. But Giorno probably does need the use of his hands to actually attach the new body parts. I guess only Giorno can attach them too, seeing as it's his ability and al- -Oh, wait, no. That's completely wrong since he has no fucking hands when Trish gets the brooch and Giorno gets his left hand back. If he needed at least one hand to do that then there would've been no way for him to stick it back on. Sorry, tried to reason it out but a ginormous logical inconsistency shot that whole theory down. Giorno should have been able to turn something like a chair armrest into a new hand with his feet and have it attach itself back onto him. Araki forgot. And then unforgot the next time he needed Giorno to use something other than his hands to transmute something. Araki forgot and Bruno is kind of dumb sometimes. Maybe chalk up Giorno not correcting him to being passed out from shock or something. At least that makes some kind of sense, maybe.
Little mistakes like this make me appreciate the effort that goes into illustration. When you're writing a comic, your first priority is the story, characters, and themes, not continuity and consistency... though they help a lot. To err is human, and little inconsistencies give things a human edge.
He still earns the "Araki Forgot" joke more than most of the creators tho. Also consistency is part of the story itself if you are not writing with part to part system where you have to connect different storys.

Honest talk, after part 2 the "nickname" JOJO is an afterthought, they mention it at the beggining of parts 3,4 and 5 (Can't remember if it is mentioned in part 6), but after the first chapeter or so, they don't refer to the MC's as Jojo, well, I think Old Joseph calls Jotaro "Jojo" a couple of times but I am not too sure
Actualy, Dio would still have warm air in his body right after he becomes a vampire, as it would not have cooled the air already in his lungs, while straizo was a vampire for quite some time so the air in his lungs would not have been heated by his body heat, and thus there would not have been fog
1:07 Actually, I'm pretty sure this is consistent, since the visible condensation is caused by the interaction between cold and hot air. When Dio transforms, his breath is cold, causing condensation. We know that the air around isn't that cold, because the breath of the other characters is not visible. This is opposed to when we see the air being cold enough for Joseph's breath to be visible, so Straits' breath would not be visible due to it being closer in temperature to the chilled air outside.
4:57 Araki also made Gold Experience's stand stats really confusing. It has a 'C' in power, which makes sense for the fight with Sticky Fingers, but after that his stand seems equal to Sticky Fingers. He also has a 'C' in precision which is just really random.
Not as random as Dio having a B in precision when it seems to be just as precise as Star Platinum. Even worse, King Crimson has an E in range when his range is 2-3 meters, the same as Crazy Diamond which has a D in range. Araki is a crackhead.
@@debigboix4390 Really? I don't see how that would correlate with the stand's precision, considering it matched all of Star Platinum's super-precise blows, just seems weird for it be be based on the users accuracy. @@Dr0dd Giorno folding his ear in could be a reference/nod of some form to it
I hear people mention the BIG fight all the time. The fact that Giorno doesn't need his hands to create life is pretty glaring.
@@HumanTooth It requires a lot of headcanon to make that work. The more you have to make up, the worse the plot point is.
Bruno: "Giorno! You created a spare hand ahead of time so you wouldn't lose your powers!"

On the subject of Straits' breath not fogging while Dio's did, Dio had just become a vampire, while Straits would have been a vampire for a few days by that point. Dio's body was still warm when we saw his breath fog.

@@lazyliongames5858 both 😎
I thought he was exhaling frost from his ability to freeze stuff, but that doesn't really make sense

That makes no sense and if it was the case, then it would have been explained. Stop simping for Araki, geez.
@@matteofaccin6636
Fair enough, however, he pretty much only doesn’t explain character motivations, meaning behind names, etc.
KISS stand stats make sense if you view them as stats for the ability rather than the main stand itself.
A Power - The effect can damage nearly everything if not everything with no size limit
A Speed - The objects fly back together incredibly quickly
A Range - There is seemingly no limit as too how far away the objects can be brought away from each other
A Durability - The ability can be used repeatedly and is near impossible to destroy or prevent without something like GER
C Precision - The ability is focused on one task only with a few other applications
A Potential - The stand is not shown off much throughout the part so we don't know its true potential, it could possibly even hold the ability to duplicate stand objects and even stands themselves

He was a Hamon master, so it only makes sense that he makes Hamon with every single breathe he takes to the point he probably forgot how to normal breathe. If he is a vampire, he can accidentally self-destruct because he'll create Hamon subconsciously without batting an eye. So to remedy this, he just stopped breathing altogether.
Dio didn't had to deal with this, because he knew absolutely nothing about Hamon other than it is sparkly magical vampire-killing breathe.
it could be that dio was expelling all the air out of his body because he's a newly created vampire
Logical.
Nah Dio was just tryna be spooky then Araki thought to himself a corpse shouldn't expell hot air so that explains Straitzo
"Overall. I'd say it's undeniable that Polnareff's fingers are pretty inconsistent" that's easily my new favourite quote of all time.
GE could just be upside down when he gives life to tree and branch part, cuz Giorno movements aren't restricted
And it can be just remade to "stand requires 2 hands, but can give life with life with any limb".
I'm pretty sure Giorno can't just attach limbs with his feet, that's why he's unable to do precise things such as healing or replacing limbs without his two working hands.
@@luisben101233 This makes way more sense as an explanation
@@luisben101233 But don't the limbs just fuse together. I don't see why you'd need precision. This one's definitely an error.

There's just something really funny about Araki accidently giving two stands the same name

Wouldn't it be neat?
hmmm really made me think...

I’m starting to genuinely wonder what the move “Hamon Beat” would be.
Its actually a cropped sound from the arcade game, Heritage to the Future, where Joseph says "Feel the beat of my hamon" or something like that in japanese
@@averonisgaming9023 Yeah I thought so, given that he says "hamon NO beat" in his phrase
@@averonisgaming9023 "Kizamu-ze! Hamon no Bito!" is the full quote. Meaning: "Tear them apart! Hamon Beat!"

At least parts 1-5 do, I haven't read the manga.

regarding the Earth Wind and Fire, would be cool to keep both names the same proving Mikitaka is actually an alien so it's not the name of a stand but the name of an alien ability.
Yes but he really doesn't want to confirm or deny what Mikitaka is
the "Giorno needs his hands" could be written off as a misconception on Bruno's part
Why didn't giorno tell him that he was wrong tho, i think it's a small mistake. Dog't get me wrong, vento aureo is my favorite part lol

-Oh, wait, no.

I think the same
5:17 i love how tiny horses was the one to break him.
I always thought the A in strength for Kiss was referring to the damage caused when you remove the stickers.
@@ProjektTaku Dio's B in precision is based off him getting excited and losing focus more than the World's actual precision.
@@debigboix4390 Really? I don't see how that would correlate with the stand's precision, considering it matched all of Star Platinum's super-precise blows, just seems weird for it be be based on the users accuracy.

yeah, it's confusing and very uncertain whether stats refer to abilities or base strength at times but that's just how it is
