@fagiu Back then fighters rarely got disqualified or even warned. I'm wondering when the points deduction system came into effect because I have seen fights (like Ali-Frazier 2 ) where there was soo much holding you had to wonder why the ref didn't do anything.
Rather ignorant of the announcer to say Patterson and Ali were the most notable Olympic champs when Frazier was the most recent, and won his gold in the heavyweight decision, unlike either of the above.
Six years later George was still swinging at his opponents as they went down, Ken Norton and Jose Roman. Maybe it was hard to unlearn the street fighting style of Houston's Fifth Ward.
There's no rule against hitting someone while he's on the way down. You can't hit an opponent when he's down, however. Foreman did that against Roman--but not here.
Albert Wilson was my grandfather he was a wonderful man and we are proud of him my grandfather was one of Gorge Foreman
Desirae Wilson that’s awesome. Would like to know more about what he thought of the fight between himself and George.
Headgears can be dangerous when not fitted properly.
I didn't realise they had vest-less Amateur fights back then, it looks almost like a glorified sparring sesh. Thanks for the video.
omfg.....WHAT A MONSTER!!!
You're right, pushing is illegal, but I've never seen a fighter disqualified for that. It's perceived as a minor infraction
I look at it as a slow punch when it comes to pushing .opponent has to keep fighting for balance.

Wow! What an incredible left at the end. Wilson's head just about comes off.
george foreman was such a beautiful specimen of a man the body on him. even as he got older his legs were so beautiful.

Foreman pushed and Ali held and got away with so what do you want?
