These comments make it sound like that fight was close. Duran fight a magnificent fight, and really proved that he is an all-time great. That said, it is a stretch to say that he won more than one or two rounds at the most. At no time was that fight and question and Hagler completely dominated the entire fight. Marvelous was simply in a class by himself.

Duran fought a heck of a fight. A lot more respect for him than Leonard because Hagler was still in his prime when Duran fought him. He was just kind of hanging on at the end there though.

Not the "SeeFood diet" version of George here! Very svelt and in shape. Formean has always done very well against crouching fighters. Foreman ranks very high on the best ever, as he may have had the right stuff to beat two other all time great heavys, Marciano and Tyson. I think the post retirment George, may have actually been better in a lot of ways, than the younger more wild one.

This was a blatantly erroneous decision by Lobianco. Duran was clearly winning, but that doesn't mean he gets the crown with a damaging low blow after the bell. If the rules didn't allow for a period of recovery for Buchanan before resuming the contest, either Duran should have been disqualified or a no-contest verdict registered. And I say this as an admirer of Duran's fighting prowess. This was not the proper way for a title to change hands.

Recién en esa pelea se dieron cuenta que monzón fue un gran campeón y se consagró como él gran ídolo que fue

buckanam ya estaba sediendo con los golpe en el costado y yo creo que el se aprovecho de ese momento para no querer peliar mas por que el resultaro fuera el mismo duran le hubiera ganado por no kaot o por decision pero buckanam no quizo seguir peliando para no su frir con eso gancho a el higado que hizieron efecto atraves de los asaalto

Nino era sfinito dalla lotta, non riusciva quasi neanche più a alzare le braccia ma se fosse stato più giovane e quindi più forte, a essere sconfitto era Carlos, infatti gli ultimi 3 pugni sono stati quasi uguali, tutti e tre diretti, uno per Nino e due per Carlos di cui uno sx e l'ultimo dx ma Nino ha colpito per primo la mascella dx di Carlos con il suo famoso oserei dire famigerato sx poi l'altro ha replicato con un uno due che per i motivi che ho detto son stati vincenti

Espectacular el retroceso de carlos q lo agarro a caminando a valdez y cayo literalmente como un salbuyon a la pileta, excelente mano fuerte, retrocediendo y muy justa, fue el mejor mediano su record lo avala.

Nel 1970 ero un bambino e se per caso in casa mi capitò di vedere qualcosa di quell'incontro io non lo ricordo...rivedo ora quel lontano match provando una forte emozione...e non riesco ad accettare la sconfitta del favoloso Benvenuti!
