I got a set of these and they worked great. I walked all about my house and never had an issue. I can also use them for transmitting from my iPad to my splitter cable for backing tracks with a male to male adapter if I have to. Very much worth the money.
Your in ear monitoring bargain review was fantastic, informative, and honest. Trying to get in ear gear on a tight budget myself, thanks for your help homie.
Thanks for these videos, Scott. Most of the gear for IEM for casual bands is pretty far out of a reasonable budget. It's nice to see honest reviews of budget gear in this area!
Thanks Ben! I appreciate it. And yeah, budget stuff is important for a lot of musicians, but it’s important to know the details about them. I’ve seen many bands go “oh awesome, we can get all 5 wireless IEM systems at this price” and then maybe it works at their rehearsal space, but falls apart at a live concert. It’s definitely important to understand the limitations while saving money. Because they are still useable for sure, just limited.
@@ScottUhlMusic What's your experience with bands splitting costs of something like an X32 or X-Air? Is this a generally bad idea? Any tips here? (Possible topic for a future video!)
Oh man, that’s a whole band dynamic topic haha. I would figure out what happens to the gear if someone leaves and/or is fired and agree upon that ahead of time. In my experience, it’s often better for just one person to buy it if possible. That way there is no argument when someone leaves or gets fired.
Use it for small gigs in small bars for some month. And finally, there was stage in the music club, where sound engineer could not take monitor AUX to the stage, there was no empty XLR outs in patch panel on the stage. So, I have to put transmitter to AUX in Behringer X32 that was located behind the crowd (about ~100 people). So, there was about 30 feet and lots of people between transmitter and 4 recievers. I was ready to switch to stage monitor PA system. I was 100% shure that this cant work in this situation: too long distance, too much people, wifi routers and wifi router in X32. But it works perfectly! I'm impressed so much. Thank you again for this review.
Gigged with these three times. Let me down three times. Intermittently losing signal when fully charged and the transmitter and receiver are only a couple of meters away. They work fine in the house.
Sorry to hear that. As you can see with the comments, it doesn’t happen to everyone. It all depends on the environment. You are performing in a heavy RF environment and have no way to change the channel on these. That’s part of the risk that I mentioned in the video
Hey @ScottUhlMusic What if? the reason they sent you a TRRS cable is because if you where to use a two female XLR(or balanced/unbalanced 1/4" plugs) connector to balanced stereo adapter, the balanced stereo adapter end of it WOULD have to be (TRRS which would be a balanced stereo plug)! What if? What are your thoughts?... Keep rocking' in the free world bro!🤘
It’s definitely an affordable way to get introduced to in ears! Or of course you can always go wired to start :) but yes these would be great for that!
@@ScottUhlMusic Idk if you remember previous comments I did on your videos, but next week I'm getting an FM transmitter to try out IEM monitoring via FM. It's gonna be ghetto, but if it works I'll let you know!
Hi Scott, I'm just curious - you mentioned near the beginning that it is NOT a true stereo system. However it has TRS plugs supplied. Could you expand upon what you mean by 'not stereo'. I'm looking for a wireless solution for stereo guitar from the mini mixer at my feet on stage. My HX Stomp feeds into the mixer in stereo and the band MONO mix is blended in. At the moment I'm 'cabled-up' to be able to hear my stereo GUITAR mix. It's a pain because I have to leave the stage many times during our concerts whilst an MC takes over.
“True stereo” for a wireless IEM system is where you have two inputs into the transmitter and then are able to pan the mix that you from a mixer or something like that. But this can get a stereo signal from a laptop or iPhone or something like that if you use a TRS or TRRS cable 👍
I really love your content, I have found most of your videos super useful thanks a lot!!!! BTW, have you checked the Audiofusion IEM software system? that looks really interesting, would you like to review that one? it's definitely something different and promising :)
Thanks! I appreciate it. And yeah I heard about them a while ago. Really interesting concept and I’m curious how it would work. Probably have to give them a try sometime down the road 😊
Hey Scott! As always, love your work👍🏼 Quick question. Is it possible to use 4/5 receiver units with one transmitter? And if so - do you know whether additional receiver units can be purchased separately?? Thanks again! Cheers, Neil..
I’m pretty sure that you can do this… but actually I’m not sure HOW you would since there is no way to set the channel manually. So I’m not sure to be honest
I do recommend if you need to get 4/5 people a wireless IEM feed (even if it’s the same signal/mix) to spend a little bit more. Check out the Phenyx Pro ones I’ve mentioned. Those are good cheap ones
amazing review! thank you! May I also ask, would there be any problem if you're also using 2.4GHz guitar wireless system? I use my Xvive U2 for my guitar and I wanted to use this for wireless inears, will there be any problems that I will encounter like noise, signal loss etc? Thank you in advance!
I personally only use 1 device on 2.4ghz live… 2 at the max. I personally do not recommend using more than 2 live at once. It will work sometimes though, but that’s my advice
Hey! thank you for your quick response! I'm under the impression that my question will just be ignored. haha! Watching ur videos from Philippines! 🇵🇭 thank you for this kind of videos 😁
What exactly is the difference between TRS and TRRS cables? Mine came with 2 TRRS cables and a charging cable. Should I use a TRS cable with an XLR adapter? Thanks so much!
Hey. I tried this system out and you're wrong about one thing. This is a true stereo system, you just have to solder up some cables to run it that way.
I wouldn’t recommend using 2 of these at once. It probably will work. But I don’t recommend that. Watch this video, and mistake #3 specifically: 5 COMMON MISTAKES When Using WIRELESS MUSIC GEAR ua-cam.com/video/Xgw96rY4TAc/v-deo.html
Hey Scott, so I ordered a behringer ps2 after watching your video about making it wireless by using a guitar wireless system and then I stumbled across this! The behringer hasn't arrived but I can send it back to Sweetwater. Is this a better option? I'm in an acoustic duo and we play through a jbl eon mk2. I'm the only singer and most of the time placing it slightly behind us works fine but in some instances I have found it necessary to place it slightly ahead if we're in a really reflective noisy venue and it sometimes is hard hear myself and especially backing tracks and thought something like this would help without having to bring a monitor wedge. Jbl has a 1/4 pass through. Stick with my forthcoming p2 and a guitar wireless or send it back and get this? I bought my nux B-5rc for my acoustic guitar based on your review and it's been great, thanks!
These do not have a way to change channels, so it will be the least reliable wireless IEM system. If that’s okay with you, then yeah these are great! If it’s not the end of the world if your wireless iems do not work, these are awesome. Especially for acoustic
The P2 is a wired headphone amp. So you plug in an xlr. If you use it with a wireless guitar system like I mention in that IEM hack video, you can usually change channels on those
Thanks. I ordered both and see if I have any issues with the lekato interfering with my Nux b5rc wireless I use on my acoustic. If it doesn't I'll keep it, if it does I'll go the p2 route with a joyo or something that can switch channels. Thanks!
So as you warned, this system conflicted with my nux br5 (unfortunately I bought the 2.4 ghz version), my guitar kept cutting out. I really wanted to try these so I plugged my guitar in direct and they worked fine. I really want to go all wireless though so I am sending these back and ordering a set of swiff wireless to use with my behringer p4. And I'll also have a backup wireless for my guitar now. Great idea! Thanks so much for your reviews!
What would you recommend for a Wireless IEM setup just to use with a Desktop PC (for daily use, gaming, videos, music, etc.)? I have IEMs and a good DAC already I just hate being tethered to my desk. Like if I have to turn around and grab something and forget I'm connected the headphone jack rips out of the DAC or worse breaks (which I've had happen before) I just want my DAC transmitted wirelessly to my IEMs so I can wear them over ear and the chord going behind me instead of over the ear but in front and in the way. I understand that quality will never be as good as direct input but just looking for the best way with least amount of quality loss in the process. Can anyone recommend anything that would help with this?
For something like that, these can be good! 2.4ghz might get interference from a Wi-Fi router, so keep it away from those. Try them out, return them if they don’t work 👍
I need to do a video on this haha because I keep getting asked this question. This is not a “true stereo” system because you cannot control panning or anything like that. You’ll need two inputs for that to work. Most cheap gear is in mono and not true stereo
S2 has more channels. This one has one. S2 wins. This one is more portable. Gotta spend more money to get more channels for more reliability. S3 is great: ua-cam.com/video/4jvQx8U-N9E/v-deo.html
I answered your question on the other page. PTM 11 is best out of the 3. However, I’m going to say that you have looked at the 3 absolute cheapest wireless in ear monitor systems. I use them and they sound great, but I’m not a tone purist. I’m looking for something that works and gets the job done. If you ARE a tone purist (nothing wrong with that), then spend the money to get a higher end one. I’ve reviewed many on my channel. Still recommend PTM 11 between the 3 you asked about. If it doesn’t work for you, return it and spend the money to get a higher end one. 👍
@@ScottUhlMusic so that's means the stereo mode in this device, is actually a mono sound that cames out in the right and left earphone? does this mean it can't be used to listen to the stereo effect in a song or movie?
I need to do a video on this because everyone has a different definition of what stereo and true stereo are. My advice… it sounds like you have higher standards for what you want in an IEM system. The cheapest IEM system of Amazon is likely not for you. These are meant for an acoustic act or small act who just wants to hear themselves and isn’t too picky. It doesn’t sound like that is meant for you. I would look into the Phenyx Pro PTM 10 (which is true stereo), the Anleon S3 (also true stereo), the Shure PSM 300 (also true stereo) or the Xvive U4 (stereo but not true stereo but in 2.4Ghz). Hope that helps!
Amazing review Scott, the fact that you actually try all these products at actual gigs is so valuable. Most "reviewers" on UA-cam don't have any real world experience and only demo the gear in their super controlled studio conditions.
Would you recommend or has anyone used this product with backing tracks with click track? Maybe send click signal LEFT to receivers and house RIGHT plugged in? Let me know if you guys have used them in such a way
I’ve done that with this one: My STEREO WIRELESS Transmitter for Backing Tracks ua-cam.com/video/IelJjsXatmU/v-deo.html It works most of the time if you want to take that risk with cheaper wireless 👍
Great for practicing and small gigs, but terrible for something more serious. We’ve encountered a huge amount of dropouts in signal in 3 receivers out of 5 on stage, and we’re not going to use it for live performance anymore because of this, and we’re switching to a proper UHF system. To be more specific, these devices worked great during soundcheck, but once the hall was filled with 300+ people with smartphones, these iem’s flopped really hard.
You should NOT be using “the actual cheapest IEM system on Amazon” in large serious situations. These are for smaller gigs for sure. I suggest watching this video: ua-cam.com/video/Xgw96rY4TAc/v-deo.htmlsi=XKQncDqWiIMwjvYQ
The sound on mine is totally distorted! No matter the volume or gain on the mixer. I too use the Behringer XR18 and X32R. Can't believe you use it at live gigs. I just can't get it to sound good. Really sucks... I also have the Xvive U4 that sounds way better!
Hmm… yeah I definitely used this with my x18. But again, I was more solo/acoustic which is more what these are meant for. And the U4 has the switch to set the impedance properly which really helps. I’m curious why these were so distorted for you.
Love the honest reviews and opinions on gear. As a rookie I appreciate how you break things down to help guys like me understand things better. I've never owned a set of in ears, but wouldn't mind trying it out with one of these budget sets.

Found your page a few months ago as getting into in ears. Love your tech tips and have shared your page with others. I bought the cca buds and they are awesome. Think I might get this system as a backup. Thanks again Scott for breaking it down into all the relevant points to consider.
"Wall distance" is in reference to RF bouncing off of walls and phase cancelling. If you ever see a wireless receiver with two antennas, that's RF diversity...a means in which there are two antennas that are actively switched between to retain the best signal. Just some nerd facts for you. Thanks for your content!
Scott. I am an amateur and play acoustic guitar often with large open jams I find that indoors, I often cannot hear myself at all. I do have an active Fishman pickup that came with my guitar. Would some sort of IEM system work in this case? If so, how would you set this up? Thanks
Yup, an IEM system would work great for something like this. Usually going into a mixer is best and using an AUX out works well. Some cheap stuff doesn’t work as well with other gear, but that’s all trial and error
@@ScottUhlMusic thanks Scott. It actually works great with my Fishman Guitar pickup. Again, only using in jam sessions to hear myself when acoustics suck. Another question, do you know of an inexpensive pickup or microphone that I could use the same way on my banjo. It’s only going through Lekato and to ear phones. Since quality sound here isn’t an issue, I would think is there is a small battery powered mic, I might be able to just attach inside the regulator. Thank you again and thanks for the videos. Gary
PICKLES, MAN! I like your content, you seem to have a niche carved out with the cheap stuff that we all look at but won't take the leap; you provide a service!
Just got this last night. Works on my mixer headphone out and line outs. Stereo separation is not 100% but it works for panning vocals, keys and guitars for my live iem monitor mix. I’ll try it out on my next gig with a wired back up. It’s going to be great live and in my studio. Thanks for the heads up on this great piece of gear. UPDATE: I can definitely hear the delay when singing. The slight delay caused by the combination of my digital mixer plus the iem delay results in a noticeable chorus/delay between the sound of my voice in my head and the iems. Not terrible but it’s there. Much less noticeable at higher iem volume levels and even better when you take the vocal out of your wedge.
I just bought it here in Germany for 20% off x'D so it was 55,99 €. And I mainly play solo: acoustic guitar, loop-station, vocals, that's it. And I do lots of busking and I hope that this tiny piece of gear will make my life so much easier. When I play gigs I often use a PA and use my amp as monitor. But while busking everything comes out of one single acoustic amp and this little thing will go into the main-out. Especially when I'm singing it's often difficult to hear my own recorded loops and obviously I always only have one sound source. For busking the battery life could be an issue, because I often play for many hours a day, but if this thing really works as well as I hope it does, I will just get another pair of these.
i imagine that XLR female to 1/8" cable has the XLR pin 3 (signal -) shorted to ground, or pins 2 and 3 are merged, which is why it works without noise. If you are using a 1/4" TRS male to 1/8" female adapter, to adapt the 1/4" from your mixer to the 1/8" of the included TRRS cable, where does this signal (-) go? wouldn't it become the right side ear and just be noise? perhaps that mono/stereo switch negates it when set to mono? i would think the 1/8" input on the transmitter is an 1/8" stereo input right?
The system itself doesn’t have noticeable latency. You might be getting compounded latency if you have multiple things causing latency. I’ve gigged with these before for live looping. If there was latency, there would be no way I could do that.
I had a cheaper Debra wireless system that was mono, the ER-102 or something, and I found that the audio coming through was a little harsh and that the mono signal kinda messed with my brain. Obviously I'm used to stereo fields out of regular headphones. Before I purchase another system, I kinda wanted to get someone's advice about the difference in sound from a stereo to mono type system. Will the stereo system have a wider sound field? Or is it just to L/R 2 signals? ie: I want to just jam with music, I want it to sound like I'm listening to it on my earbuds from spotify, and then incorporate my guitar over it...will it be a left/right scenario? Will it just sound like the mono, and I'm wasting my time looking for a stereo wireless, or should I just get a proper stereo wireless instead of muckin about with these mono signals? Cuz Debra has the ST-102 that is supposed to be stereo, vs that ER-102. I'm not playing any clubs, I'll be just jamming around the house and streaming online. Cheers everyone!
Great video Scott! Always well-done. I ordered a Phenyx Pro PTM 10 IEM based on yours and many others recommendations. Getting an HX Stomp soon and I’ll be getting a lot of training from you on that! Thanks for making great content!
Hello Scott, there are some supposedly 5.8G IEM system tinier than the mwave ones selling for 20usd on aliexpress, sadly I can’t paste links here for you to check so if you can check them, please give them a try and a review
Thanks for the video. Quick question my vocals in the in ear monitors sound quality is great for the music but not good for the vocals. Would you have any ideas? I’ve tried messing with levels but with no luck. Thanks for the video again
That could be so many things. Probably sending too hot of a signal into it. I would start there. These are also quite cheap so they can “overload” easily I think as well.
Hi. We're looking for a wireless in-ear monitor syst for my wife. She is a violinist and play on small and medium venues, most of the time crowed of people. She is using a wireless VHF mic and other times a wireless pickup (both bluetooth). Amplified by a Bose S1 Pro+. Do you think this will work fine for her? Thank you so much
Absolutely great video! Love the no BS, but also humorous presentation. I'm not a musician, I was actually looking for a way to convert my IEMs into wireless ones, with low latency for competitive PC gaming and your video was really helpful! (I hate being tethered to my AMP/PC/desk, but a small rectangle in my pocket is OK) Now I don't have to buy a "gaming" set of wireless earbuds, which would probably sound worse than the great IEMs I already have!
Pros: Amazing sound quality, better than most cheap (albeit much more expensive) analog transmitters; stupidly portable and lightweight; everything runs on batteries. Cons: Does cut out quite a bit in concerts, since everybody is using wifi; SUPER fragile. I've had 2, one of them failed, and 3 friends of mine had theirs fail in less than a year after purchase. I'm still using mine and love it, paid about $30,00 on Aliexpress, but I'm aware someday it just won't turn on anymore, as did all others (all of them had issues on the ON button).
So i got this one, and returned it, because they have no bass and barely any mids. I ordered NUX B-7PSM 5.8 GHz. Will see if the sound is better. When i plug-in headphones directly to same output i get nice full sound
This one was so cheap and didn't even have a brand name. I copy and paste in .{Wireless Guitar Transmitter Receiver, Digital Wireless Guitar System with Two Micro USB Plugs,Rechargeable Audio Wireless System for Electric Guitar Bass Violin}
And BTW... They are actually stereo, you just need an adapter. I use my monitoring output on the XR18, and also have a 2 xlr / 3.5mm stereo adapter and it works like a charm
Great video. I'm considering this for my project (2 members). Question 1: Has anyone tried 2 transmitters + 2 receivers at the same time? Question 2: I use Ableton live to process the vocals. What about the latency in this situation? It's possible to compensate? Regards from Spain.
2 systems at once should be fine. Just remember, these are the cheapest IEMs I could find, and manage your expectations. Your computer might give you latency if the buffer size is too high. Other than that is should be fine 👍
Hi. I have a question. Can it still work properly if I use 2 wireless system. Like that wireless in ear monitor system and the other wireless transmitter/receiver from my guitar to the gadget? Like they have the same frequency (2.4 gHz). Can the signal mixed up?
You can use 2 wireless at once in most situations. It ALWAYS depends on the environment of the venue, so there is no yes or no answer to that. But in general? Yes, you can use 2 system at once on 2.4ghz. Will it work every time at every venue? No
Hi Scott, I was looking for cheap IEMs and I found your video. I'd like to ask if lekato good to use if you're a drummer? is the latency affect on playing with other band member if I'm the only one using wireless IEM.
No, there won’t be latency with these (unless you are getting multiple sources of latency or something like that with it compounding). These are a good system, but also THE cheapest one I’ve ever found, so just manage your expectations
A lot of people were saying the sound quality is terrible and crackly/noisy. When I first plugged them in it was clipping extremely bad. All you have to do is turn the headphones output volume down until it's clear. This is an amazing deal! I'm buying another one asap!
Glad it’s working well for you! Just remember the more 2.4Ghz gear at once, the more likely they won’t work. I personally don’t recommend using more than 2 at once. But for the price, these are great!
@@ScottUhlMusic Sorry if this is a dumb question Scott. I was wondering if you are able to use 2.4 for something and maybe 5.8 for something else in your rig? I would think that everything you are using would need to be the same frequency? I've never used wireless gear before.
Would you recommend for someone who is speaking at a church. I want one to use for when I’m speaking. Church isn’t large. Seats about 225 in the sanctuary
So I live in a small apartment with thin walls and I'm nocturnal. I would use regular headphones with my amp but I cant stand the cord. It really makes it hard to find good practice time. I'm also going guitar cord free. Is this a suitable option for just being a cordless headphones? Or is there a better option out there? I bought a cheap Bluetooth transmitter/receiver but it had like .25 seconds of latency so I expect I'll use it for a different purpose like sending a signal to my phone to record probably.
It is a stereo system. The input is 2 channels. If you receive the signal from a board you using 2 AUX sends, for instance, or the PHONES output, you can have a nice stereo mix!
@@ScottUhlMusic mine is stereo though, mono switch will combine 2 inputs not panned while switching to stereo will pan each signal to extreme left and right. U may need to check your cable. Mine works
So can I just check. I could run this from my bass amp headphone out to my headphones to be wireless? I could then use a guitar 5.8 ghz wireless system for.cable free practice?
You can run these out of your bass amp and then use your 5.8ghz wireless for your bass, yes 👍 Again, just keep in mind you have no way to change the channel on these. If you get interference, you cannot do anything about it 👍
I got this system and have been trying to use it for a few months. I get a lot of interference very frequently which makes them pretty much useless. I’ve tried making sure no cell phones or other similar devices, but that made no difference.
If you bring any wireless that does NOT have a way to change channels like this one… if that channel is taken, there is nothing you can do. The more channel options the better. With any wireless
Do not use too much cheap wireless all at once. Unfortunately, going “we are on a tight budget, but we need 6+ wireless all at once” isn’t really how wireless works. Watch my video here: ua-cam.com/video/Xgw96rY4TAc/v-deo.html
Great video. With regards to stereo I use the xr18 and run aux 1 and 2 into my current wired set up so I can pan guitars left and right. Is this possible with this in ear system? Thanks
This has a switch for stereo vs mono, so that’s not necessary. Just switch this to stereo. What I believe you mean is “true stereo” which requires 2 inputs into the transmitter and a way to pan on the receiver

Hi Scott, thanks for all of your reviews. I'm just curious if you had to choose between the lekato IEM or the Kimafun. What would you choose?
Those are both about as cheap as it gets, so understand what you are buying. Kimafun because it has a way to change channels
I’m not sure tbh, I don’t use TRRS very often, so I need to look into it more
@@ScottUhlMusic (tip is left first ring is right second ring is ground sleeve is shield)
Great video! I could really use this for just starting to get into in ears. Pickles.
It’s definitely an affordable way to get introduced to in ears! Or of course you can always go wired to start :) but yes these would be great for that!
Fantastic review!
Thank you!
Thank you!
PICKLES PICKLES PICKLES 😁😁😁😁 Great review , very informative👀👀👀👀
Hahaha thanks!
Hi there, great video - How is the volume? Loud enough for live band?
Thanks. I never had a problem with volume 👍
Thank you.
Nifty!
🤘
Hey Scott! As always, love your work👍🏼
Quick question.
@@ScottUhlMusic Yeah - I thought being so inexpensive all the units would run on the same frequency. Hey.. you have TWO units.........?????
yeah I received that too...some people are really a pain...
Yeah scammers are everywhere on UA-cam and twitter now
Very good! So for home usage, it can be perfect with the guitar and no hearable latency, right?
That’s correct 👍
@@ScottUhlMusic Here I can get them from aliexpress, price is 40 USD total
amazing review!
TRRS is for connecting to phones/tablets I believe. I’m not as familiar with them
Hey. I tried this system out and you're wrong about one thing. This is a true stereo system, you just have to solder up some cables to run it that way.
Interesting… good to know!
Good afternoon, what impedance do the receiver and transmitter have?
I don’t remember off hand. Should be listed, but these are very very cheap so set your expectations on everything it can do accordingly
Can I pair 2 receivers with 1 transmitter? My vocalists needs one too while I play.
I don’t believe so
So, without the option to change channels, can two units operate together at the same time?
I wouldn’t recommend using 2 of these at once. It probably will work. But I don’t recommend that. Watch this video, and mistake #3 specifically: 5 COMMON MISTAKES When Using WIRELESS MUSIC GEAR
ua-cam.com/video/Xgw96rY4TAc/v-deo.html
Can one use them to watch movies at home? I’m thinking to make my headphones and my tv wireless…
Sure, that could work 👍
would they connect to a normal mixer or digital only?
They can connect to whatever you want to use to send the signal 👍
@@ScottUhlMusic but the p2 doesn't have a way to change channels either does it?
Hey Scott, iyo do u think the Xvive U3 would work with an AKG 520 c into FF octepre (phantom power) for live gigs?
You could do that yes 👍
Do I need a mixer for this or can i plug it directly to my speaker?
I have a harbinger v2315 speaker
If I understand correctly, yes 👍
Try them out, return them if they don’t work 👍
Do they transmit in stereo if I feed them a stereo source? Or just summed to mono?
I need to do a video on this haha because I keep getting asked this question. This is not a “true stereo” system because you cannot control panning or anything like that. You’ll need two inputs for that to work. Most cheap gear is in mono and not true stereo
But if you send a STEREO signal from like a phone or something like that and switch the switch to STEREO you DO get a stereo signal!
Hello, this system is better than the anleon s2?
S2 has more channels. This one has one. S2 wins. This one is more portable. Gotta spend more money to get more channels for more reliability. S3 is great: ua-cam.com/video/4jvQx8U-N9E/v-deo.html
@@ScottUhlMusic but in audio quality which is better?
I answered your question on the other page. PTM 11 is best out of the 3.
However, I’m going to say that you have looked at the 3 absolute cheapest wireless in ear monitor systems. I use them and they sound great, but I’m not a tone purist. I’m looking for something that works and gets the job done. If you ARE a tone purist (nothing wrong with that), then spend the money to get a higher end one. I’ve reviewed many on my channel.
Still recommend PTM 11 between the 3 you asked about. If it doesn’t work for you, return it and spend the money to get a higher end one. 👍
What about headphone amplifier?
Can it drive, hard to drive headphone? Like sennheiser hd600?
I did not need a headphone amplifier when I used these
@@ScottUhlMusic ah i see, so it can drive headphone too with enough volume?
one more thing that I'm curious about, is it true stereo sound?
I believe so yes. And It’s stereo but not true stereo.
I just got a pair, and one of them cant hold the battery life.
That definitely is not fun. That happens though especially with cheaper gear. Hope you can exchange it!
every time I plug my into my Mackie profx16v3 it keep making a mmm sound but no audio is coming out of it, please help me out
That could be so many things. Try other sources to see if it’s the mixer, the cable, or the wireless
Amazing review Scott, the fact that you actually try all these products at actual gigs is so valuable. Most "reviewers" on UA-cam don't have any real world experience and only demo the gear in their super controlled studio conditions.
Thanks! And I agree, I always want to test my gear out before I use it! I think it’s very important for sure
Would you recommend or has anyone used this product with backing tracks with click track? Maybe send click signal LEFT to receivers and house RIGHT plugged in?
Let me know if you guys have used them in such a way
I’ve done that with this one: My STEREO WIRELESS Transmitter for Backing Tracks
ua-cam.com/video/IelJjsXatmU/v-deo.html
It works most of the time if you want to take that risk with cheaper wireless 👍
Thanks Drew!

Thanks, I appreciate that! Thanks for sharing the videos 😊
Thanks for commenting! I appreciate that! I know about RF diversity but I had not hear of “wall distance” 🤘
Good explanation of RF diversity. "Wall distance" in this case could also refer to how far you can get a signal going through a wall.
Thanks Mark! I appreciate it! 🥒
Awesome, glad it’s worked out well for you 🤘
Strange, for me stereo separation is 100%
@@simonasremeika6238 I might have a defective unit.
Thanks for these reviews. It was great to hear about this.
However, I will return the “lekato ms-1” because it hasn’t audio quality. It is very noisy.
Well, since so many companies watch your channel maybe Lekato MS-1 IEM may upgrade for more channels.
Awesome video. Tx. PS wall distance could be indoors (in Chinese style English)
I just bought this setup. I noticed a bit of latency when testing it. I'll be trying it out though our Soundcraft ui24rat our next gig.
The system itself doesn’t have noticeable latency. You might be getting compounded latency if you have multiple things causing latency. I’ve gigged with these before for live looping. If there was latency, there would be no way I could do that.
Yo it's $59 right now!
Nice!!
This one can be set to mono or stereo if you use the right cable with it 👍

That could be so many things. Probably sending too hot of a signal into it. I would start there. These are also quite cheap so they can “overload” easily I think as well.
Hi. We're looking for a wireless in-ear monitor syst for my wife. She is a violinist and play on small and medium venues, most of the time crowed of people. She is using a wireless VHF mic and other times a wireless pickup (both bluetooth). Amplified by a Bose S1 Pro+.

Love the no BS, but also humorous presentation.
I'm not a musician, I was actually looking for a way to convert my IEMs into wireless ones, with low latency for competitive PC gaming and your video was really helpful!
(I hate being tethered to my AMP/PC/desk, but a small rectangle in my pocket is OK)
Now I don't have to buy a "gaming" set of wireless earbuds, which would probably sound worse than the great IEMs I already have!
Thanks! Glad you liked the video!
2.4 is what every Walmart rc toy uses 😂
Pros: Amazing sound quality, better than most cheap (albeit much more expensive) analog transmitters; stupidly portable and lightweight; everything runs on batteries.
Cons: Does cut out quite a bit in concerts, since everybody is using wifi; SUPER fragile. I've had 2, one of them failed, and 3 friends of mine had theirs fail in less than a year after purchase. I'm still using mine and love it, paid about $30,00 on Aliexpress, but I'm aware someday it just won't turn on anymore, as did all others (all of them had issues on the ON button).
Yeah at this price point and the fact that you cannot change channels, it’s very likely that those two problems will happen at some point
So i got this one, and returned it, because they have no bass and barely any mids. I ordered NUX B-7PSM 5.8 GHz. Will see if the sound is better. When i plug-in headphones directly to same output i get nice full sound

And BTW... They are actually stereo, you just need an adapter. I use my monitoring output on the XR18, and also have a 2 xlr / 3.5mm stereo adapter and it works like a charm
Yup that is correct, that was my bad. I just assumed one input meant mono 👍
I just got these to use for my UA-cam setup. I hate the long cord to get to my camera so this was perfect.
Nice!!
No
What about the Debra Er-Mini wich is UHF. Similar price but different technology? I'm learning so much with your videos. Thanks!
You are the second one to mention the Debra ones. Definitely curious on how that one works 👍 just remember, these are the cheapest iems out there
Hi Scott, I was looking for cheap IEMs and I found your video.
These are IEMs…. These are meant for listening/receiving audio…. Not transmitting. You want a wireless mic instead 👍
No locking 3.5mm jacks. If LEKATO had exposed 3mm of threads on the jack, you could used a screw on locking connector.
Having a locking connector would be nice. But I highly doubt you’ll get that on a $69 IEM system for sure!
You cannot use Bluetooth for live audio. But this should definitely help out 👍
It is a stereo system. The input is 2 channels. If you receive the signal from a board you using 2 AUX sends, for instance, or the PHONES output, you can have a nice stereo mix!
It’s not a “true stereo” where you can pan the signal, but you can transmit a stereo signal, correct
@@ScottUhlMusic mine is stereo though, mono switch will combine 2 inputs not panned while switching to stereo will pan each signal to extreme left and right. U may need to check your cable. Mine works
Have you done a video on 5.8ghz in ear monitor systems? Are they better than the 2.4ghz systems?
Just got a pair and gigged with them this weekend! Video should be out in about 2 weeks 🤘
These costs $25 here in the Philippines. I have connected 6 receivers with 1 transmitter.
Nice!
Hey! what if i ll use this staff with the same guitar system 2,4 Wi Fi (Lekato) Will it confuse conflict with it?
2 wireless at once usually isn’t a problem, but it all depends on the wireless environment
Hoerev in ear monitor I found this on Amazon I’m looking the best and cheap it’s for my church and we are in a tight budget please reply God bless.
Do not use too much cheap wireless all at once. Unfortunately, going “we are on a tight budget, but we need 6+ wireless all at once” isn’t really how wireless works. Watch my video here: ua-cam.com/video/Xgw96rY4TAc/v-deo.html
69.99?!?!? They go for like $25 on aliexpress, sometimes cheaper
Yup! Pretty wild!
Great video. With regards to stereo I use the xr18 and run aux 1 and 2 into my current wired set up so I can pan guitars left and right. Is this possible with this in ear system? Thanks
I believe so if you use a breakout cable (two mono to 1 stereo). But I haven’t tried that
These could probably work really well in stereo if you combine two XLR outs into a single TRS cable to input into the transmitter.
This has a switch for stereo vs mono, so that’s not necessary. Just switch this to stereo. What I believe you mean is “true stereo” which requires 2 inputs into the transmitter and a way to pan on the receiver
15 USD on Aliexpress 🙂
