Hey everyone, the scammers have found their way to my channel. ANY comment that asks you to send something to a text or a WhatsApp number (ESPECIALLY if they have the number in their name) is 100% , always, zero doubt, absolutely a scam. That's true ANYWHERE on social media. You'll notice that my name has a grey background behind "Scott Uhl." That's how you know it's really a response coming from the creator of the channel. Do NOT contact the scammers/assholes!
Use it for small gigs in small bars for some month. And finally, there was stage in the music club, where sound engineer could not take monitor AUX to the stage, there was no empty XLR outs in patch panel on the stage. So, I have to put transmitter to AUX in Behringer X32 that was located behind the crowd (about ~100 people). So, there was about 30 feet and lots of people between transmitter and 4 recievers. I was ready to switch to stage monitor PA system. I was 100% shure that this cant work in this situation: too long distance, too much people, wifi routers and wifi router in X32. But it works perfectly! I'm impressed so much. Thank you again for this review.
Amazing review Scott, the fact that you actually try all these products at actual gigs is so valuable. Most "reviewers" on UA-cam don't have any real world experience and only demo the gear in their super controlled studio conditions.
I got a set of these and they worked great. I walked all about my house and never had an issue. I can also use them for transmitting from my iPad to my splitter cable for backing tracks with a male to male adapter if I have to. Very much worth the money.
Love the honest reviews and opinions on gear. As a rookie I appreciate how you break things down to help guys like me understand things better. I've never owned a set of in ears, but wouldn't mind trying it out with one of these budget sets.
@@ScottUhlMusic I just got a reply comment from someone using your profile picture telling me I was a winner, telling me to text a certain number. Freaking scammers. PICKLES, MAN! I like your content, you seem to have a niche carved out with the cheap stuff that we all look at but won't take the leap; you provide a service!
A lot of people were saying the sound quality is terrible and crackly/noisy. When I first plugged them in it was clipping extremely bad. All you have to do is turn the headphones output volume down until it's clear. This is an amazing deal! I'm buying another one asap!
Glad it’s working well for you! Just remember the more 2.4Ghz gear at once, the more likely they won’t work. I personally don’t recommend using more than 2 at once. But for the price, these are great!
@@ScottUhlMusic Sorry if this is a dumb question Scott. I was wondering if you are able to use 2.4 for something and maybe 5.8 for something else in your rig? I would think that everything you are using would need to be the same frequency? I've never used wireless gear before.
Just got this last night. Works on my mixer headphone out and line outs. Stereo separation is not 100% but it works for panning vocals, keys and guitars for my live iem monitor mix. I’ll try it out on my next gig with a wired back up. It’s going to be great live and in my studio. Thanks for the heads up on this great piece of gear. UPDATE: I can definitely hear the delay when singing. The slight delay caused by the combination of my digital mixer plus the iem delay results in a noticeable chorus/delay between the sound of my voice in my head and the iems. Not terrible but it’s there. Much less noticeable at higher iem volume levels and even better when you take the vocal out of your wedge.
Found your page a few months ago as getting into in ears. Love your tech tips and have shared your page with others. I bought the cca buds and they are awesome. Think I might get this system as a backup. Thanks again Scott for breaking it down into all the relevant points to consider.
Your in ear monitoring bargain review was fantastic, informative, and honest. Trying to get in ear gear on a tight budget myself, thanks for your help homie.
Awesome review man; I subbed a while back when we first started setting up our IEM system for our worship band but now we are planning on starting up a smaller band made up of children that are ready to hit the stage. Your channel helps us out a lot on both ends. You inspired our more professional set-up and gear for the main band and now for the little ones we might incorporate a Lekato IEM's system bc as you said its cheap and I believe it'll make the kids feel more professional and in the event that one of the receivers is damaged, it won't be a big deal as it isn't as expensive as our more professional gear. It also won't make that big of a dent in our wallets! Again, thank you so much for your work man keep it up & God bless!
this is really helpful, thanks! I already had one before I watched this and couldn't figure out why it was choppy. After you said do not use it close to any router, I figured anything wireless may cause interference. I discovered that I had the receiver in my back pocket right next to the wireless guitar transmitter that I use. So just a note, move it away from anything that emits wireless signal.
"Wall distance" is in reference to RF bouncing off of walls and phase cancelling. If you ever see a wireless receiver with two antennas, that's RF diversity...a means in which there are two antennas that are actively switched between to retain the best signal. Just some nerd facts for you. Thanks for your content!
Scott Uhl has the best instructional videos out there! Great speaking voice and explains things that even I can understand. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and knowledge!
Thanks for these videos, Scott. Most of the gear for IEM for casual bands is pretty far out of a reasonable budget. It's nice to see honest reviews of budget gear in this area!
Thanks Ben! I appreciate it. And yeah, budget stuff is important for a lot of musicians, but it’s important to know the details about them. I’ve seen many bands go “oh awesome, we can get all 5 wireless IEM systems at this price” and then maybe it works at their rehearsal space, but falls apart at a live concert. It’s definitely important to understand the limitations while saving money. Because they are still useable for sure, just limited.
@@ScottUhlMusic What's your experience with bands splitting costs of something like an X32 or X-Air? Is this a generally bad idea? Any tips here? (Possible topic for a future video!)
Oh man, that’s a whole band dynamic topic haha. I would figure out what happens to the gear if someone leaves and/or is fired and agree upon that ahead of time. In my experience, it’s often better for just one person to buy it if possible. That way there is no argument when someone leaves or gets fired.
Thanks, Scott. Your recommendations are perfect for us "weekend warriors" who don't make music for a living, don't have the budget for high end gear, but need affordable wireless and IEM systems. Keep 'em coming!

Found your channel while contemplating what IEM system to get and your videos have helped more than you know. Your channel has also introduced me to brands I never knew existed. I was only looking at the usual suspects but I think I am going to try out some of the cheaper recommendations. I did order the CCA 12 and the CCA 16, the CCA 12’s sound and feel amazing and beyond the price. The CCA 16 seems like it has a bump in the midrange that hurt my ears but would definitely use them in a pinch. Thanks for your hard work!
Absolutely great video! Love the no BS, but also humorous presentation. It is a stereo system. The input is 2 channels. If you receive the signal from a board you using 2 AUX sends, for instance, or the PHONES output, you can have a nice stereo mix!
@@ScottUhlMusic mine is stereo though, mono switch will combine 2 inputs not panned while switching to stereo will pan each signal to extreme left and right. U may need to check your cable. Mine works
It’s definitely an affordable way to get introduced to in ears! Or of course you can always go wired to start :) but yes these would be great for that!
Stumbled across your channel, glad I did. I ended up purchasing the Nux wireless after watching your video. Plan on doing the same when I’m ready for IEM. Keep up with the great videos. Thank you!!!
OK. I just found your channel this week. First, i bought the Swiff ws-50 based on your recommendation for something cheap that works with active pickups (commented on that video two days ago). I purchased the Lekato MK-1 (which arrived today). You are two for two. Spot on reviews. Was worried using both the Swiff and Lekato at the same time would end up with too much latency between the two. But they work fine together. No latency. Even when playing with a backing track, no latency. I think the setup sounds slightly different as opposed to playing wired, but its not different by much. Maybe it is even my imagination. I am not a "tone purist" anyway, so I don't mind. I'll figure it out through amp settings. I'll be fine. I even have the MK-1 right next to a wireless router. Still works fine. I don't play in bands, but I am the rock star of my basement. For 100 bucks, I am now completely wireless and it is AWESOME. Thanks for the cheap solutions. Both of the aforementioned items will work fine for anyone looking to go wireless cheaply in their own house. You Rock (and have become one of my "go to" you tube guys). Well done Scott. Thanks for the videos.

We used the KZ item earbuds this weekend, running 5 sets from a Behringer HA400 Headphone mixer. It all worked great, thanks for starting me on the IEM path.
Always love your videos! Your videos make me want to get more gear hahaha! I really appreciate how thorough they are and how you put them through the ringer for testing! Oh also, pickles.
Awesome, @Scott! I was looking for a simple/cheap wireless system IEM to use at home (I hate wires too), and I just saw these on Amazon. I thought "I wonder if Scott has reviewed them" and you DID! I used used your link to buy them. Thanks for yet another thorough and informative video! Too bad I didn't see this soon enough to enough to enter the drawing - awwww, pickles!
Haha nice! And thanks for using the link, I appreciate it 🤘 let me know what you think of them when you get them. They would be great for at home use for sure!
The system itself doesn’t have noticeable latency. You might be getting compounded latency if you have multiple things causing latency. I’ve gigged with these before for live looping. If there was latency, there would be no way I could do that.
The input in the transmitter is a Stereo Aux In and the Phone Out in the receiver is Stereo as well. You just have to run it with a splitter in the case of stereo IEM setup. I use it with my existing gear with wireless guitar system and it's like having a Waza Air for about $50. 😁Without the gyroscope.
Awesome vid Scott as always. just an FYI on the Behringer mixers built in wifi. Its been notorious for how bad its wifi router is. the best practice is to buy and external router and plug the Behringer into that instead.
Oh yeah, I almost always do! Just for my solo set once I have it set I never really have to touch it. I have a mini portable router I usually use. I just got lazy for that one, even though it takes like 30 seconds to setup lol. But yes I agree, definitely use an external router with those!
I have these and use them with an A&H ME-1 personal IEM mixer as well as Behringer P16-M modules and can confirm they are indeed true stereo if you use the correct input, ME-1 modules give the option to pan all of the inputs or correctly assign stereo pairs, these are perfect inconjunction with those monitor modules!
@@ScottUhlMusic I used mine to monitor the sound board this weekend as a test. Worked well. Sounded great. A little white noise but overall super impressed. I wish they had channels to use a few at the same time. I am wondering if I can pair a set and pair another set like Bluetooth earbuds and phones can and they wont interfere with eachother.
Great review! I really like the idea of having these as a back up. I have some IEMs that I run into a Mackie mixer for rehearsal and I think these would be great for practice as well!
Hey Scott!!! Nice review! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this device! It is cheap but just like you said it is well priced for what it offers! The fact that you actually tried in a live setting makes your review better than anyone else!
I think you are good at doing reviews. Love your comments about price vs quality and what to watch out for when you by. I bought a Lekato 5 Ghz based on your reviews. It works like a charm. I like pickles to 🙂
When I play late at night at home, I typically play through a modeler into a small pwoer amp and a real guitar cabinet. Obviously, I need to keep the volume very low. I've wanted to use plugs-ins on my Mac, but I hate headphone cables, and of course Bluetooth has unacceptable latency. BUT with a system like this, I could transmit from my Mac and have a low latency wireless headset. I have never used in-ears at a gig or rehearsal, but for at home practice, I will get these to try out - it may just do the trick. Thanks as always Scott.
Scott! Thank you for your videos. I've been learning a lot from them, especially about iem systems and backing tracks. Love your content and keep up the great work. 😁
i have used them from 6 months and i have some comments: 1.- The system works great, fantastic. but i found that if you can put the emitter to charge while you're using it the signal strength goes up. 2.- Static interference is something you would have to take in consideration. i played in a gig and the band was on a recently put synthetic grass and the static electricity wouldn't let us use the system, we went on cables. aside from those comments, really great cheap system.
I just purchased these from Amazon, and am pretty happy with them. Not looking for the free set from you, but did want to let you know I am finding them for MUCH less than even $69.99 - Ali Express is offering them for $17.99 - And I've also seen them on other sites for Under $20.00 as well. - Crazy how inexpensive they are.
I'm glad they worked ok for you. I didn't have great luck on them. I was in a room with minimal wifi, and I connected it to a personal monitor (mixes an output from the main board with my local instrument and mic), so I was always within 5 feet. It was pretty intermittent, and was distracting. I know it's labelled on Amazon and an IEM, but I think it's really designed to be a basic wireless connection for ome stereos, etc. Thanks for you reviews.
The amazon ad shows that multiple transmitters can be used together. Based on that, I wonder if these scan for an open channel on startup, so manual channel switching is possibly not needed? It'd be interesting to test a couple and intentionally cause interference with a router, then turn one off and on again to see if it switches to an open channel.
Yeah that would be interesting to test. That’s my guess too… they auto set the channel. I still prefer to have the option to be in control of the channel if it need to… but for $70 I still think these are a great value assuming people understand the limitations
Great video as usual. I never win anything but hey maybe someday lol. My NUX x-5rc 5.8g kept cutting out last week at some new mexico shows. Had to use a... cable! It had been so long since i used a cable and I got my leg caught in it several times. The ammoon one never dropped out. Hopefully it doesn't become a regular thing. Lookin forward to the next video. Thank you for the XVIVe video I gave that a shot and have really enjoyed it so far! Pickles and thanks for doing what you do!
Amazing brother, thank you for helping our church
Glad to help 🤘 hopefully this video also helps you out: ua-cam.com/video/Xi2JcMomjQ0/v-deo.htmlsi=W6GPtjCsWovkL4TD
Stumbled across your channel, glad I did. I ended up purchasing the Nux wireless after watching your video. Plan on doing the same when I’m ready for IEM. Keep up with the great videos. Thank you!!!
Thanks! I appreciate it 🤘
Awesome video! I love all the budget wireless and line6 helix information you’ve released it’s been a huge help!
Thanks Chris!
Thanks. I literally just need in ears for silent-ish practice. The price has dropped yet ($62.99 before tax). Here we go. Solid video. Thanks.
Nice! That’s a great deal for those
Thanks Scott! Really appreciate all the hard work you put into these videos (esp this one since in ears are so expensive).
Glad to help, and thanks for watching!
Glad you reviewed this! I was wondering about it! Awesome video!
Thanks Jason!
@@brickmonkeyvideo2150 awesome, thanks man! Glad to hear that! 🤘🤘
Thanks so much for your honest review, this is making affordable set up to get rid of those nasty cables :)
I’m obsessed with minimal cable use haha
As always a wealth of knowledge! Thanks Scott
Thanks David!
Awesome review and very fair about what these are good for. Should suit my duo/trio small gig situation. Thanks
Thank you for your great work helping all of us find exiting and affordable stuff. Your way of explaining pros and cons is just great. Thank you 👍👍👍👍
Thank you!
Hey! Congrats, you actually won the wireless. Reach out to me on my website (link in the description) or post your email here (and I'll delete it after I email you) and I can get that sent to you. Notice this is coming from me actually and not a scammer because I'm not asking you for money lol. Congrats! Let me know, and I'll get that sent out to you.
Hey! Just making sure you saw that you won. Please get in contact with me by my website (link in description), or post your email here and I'll delete it right after. That way I can send this to you. Thanks! And congrats!
Hey, so just fyi it's been 2 weeks since this video came out and I still haven't heard from you. The runner up did leave a comment, so he was able to see it. If I don't hear from you in the next 24 hours I'm going to give him the wireless. Thanks! Hope you reach out to me in time.
I missed this but, I was on Amazon and saw this. Of course, I like reviews and here I am.
We used the KZ item earbuds this weekend, running 5 sets from a Behringer HA400 Headphone mixer. It all worked great, thanks for starting me on the IEM path.
Nice! Glad they are working well for you
Always love your videos! Your videos make me want to get more gear hahaha! I really appreciate how thorough they are and how you put them through the ringer for testing! Oh also, pickles.
Gear channels always make my wallet get smaller hahahaha
Awesome, @Scott! I was looking for a simple/cheap wireless system IEM to use at home (I hate wires too), and I just saw these on Amazon. I thought "I wonder if Scott has reviewed them" and you DID! I used used your link to buy them. Thanks for yet another thorough and informative video! Too bad I didn't see this soon enough to enough to enter the drawing - awwww, pickles!
Haha nice! And thanks for using the link, I appreciate it 🤘 let me know what you think of them when you get them. They would be great for at home use for sure!
I’ve watched a few of your vids and appreciate your time and content. You have a new subscriber.
Thanks for the sub!
I just bought this setup. I noticed a bit of latency when testing it. I'll be trying it out though our Soundcraft ui24rat our next gig.
The system itself doesn’t have noticeable latency. You might be getting compounded latency if you have multiple things causing latency. I’ve gigged with these before for live looping. If there was latency, there would be no way I could do that.
I found these online! Thanks for being so informative.
Great to see iem gear priced for everyone!
I like how many more budget options are showing up for gear now! It’s great (if you understand the limitations of course).
awesome review!... definitely thinking about some in-ears to make my hx stomp set up totally wireless... I too share your hatred for cables!
Even for acoustic gigs I’m anti cables :)
Hey Scott, great honest review as usual! I’d love to try out these IEMs.
Thanks Jim!
Got one for Christmas, looking forward to trying it out in my covers band, great review thank you 👍
Enjoy! Just remember, this is the cheapest IEM out there with no way to change the channel. Just plan accordingly to have a backup if you need one. 🤘
@@ScottUhlMusic we play very small venues generally, I've played with a cable all year so I think that will be my backup 😁
Wow !!
I hope Scott is doing really good ❤️
Nice and informative video
Thanks 🤘
A thousand thank you for your channel and your GREAT work, "it really does help" :)
😊 thank you!
I got mine from temu!!!!! Exact same ones for $23.00. I use mine for my projector to my power speaker and no more AUX cord
So in-ear monitors for solo "gig" in my bedroom on electronic drum kit. I'm sold.
as always, very useful video. Thank you for making it so clear for everyone.
Thanks 🤘
The input in the transmitter is a Stereo Aux In and the Phone Out in the receiver is Stereo as well.
You just have to run it with a splitter in the case of stereo IEM setup.
I use it with my existing gear with wireless guitar system and it's like having a Waza Air for about $50. 😁Without the gyroscope.
As always great video Scott. Reviewing wallet friendly equipment, love the content. Thank you!
Thanks Shaun 🤘
Thanks Scott. Helpful having some light shone on IEM’s. Seems these are a decent option.
Thanks for watching 😊
Yup, that’s correct. With the switch set to stereo and the proper cable, they can be stereo 👍
Nice Review, super useful and insightful, thanx!
Game changer. Im going to buy one right now. If I win the drawing I will give it to one of my back up vocalists
Nice! Enjoy! I wouldn’t use more than 2 of these at once, but they work well for their price for sure 🤘
@@JeremyP-121 My guess is that would be fine for sure. But always test it out first :) Glad they are working for you!
great vid! im looking at this to use with my go pro, reversing the purpose. like a Rode Wireless Go
Good honest review as it’s hard to decide what to buy sometimes
Cool... as always, thank you for your no-nonsense practical down-to-earth reviews! Ha! Pickles! Too funny... 😎 Buffo
Thanks man!
Great review! I really like the idea of having these as a back up. I have some IEMs that I run into a Mackie mixer for rehearsal and I think these would be great for practice as well!
Yup! Definitely great for that!
My compliments this was an excellent review and you convinced me to purchase both the headset and wireless system.
This is dope man, cheers for helping out a poor lad with his wireless dreams. My wallet does not need to shrink anymore
Haha glad to help!
Another great video man! honest and fair!
Thank you 😊
Actual actual cheapest good stuff. Thank you Scott.
The actual Actual ACTUAL cheapest IEM system 😅
Hey Scott!!! Nice review! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this device! It is cheap but just like you said it is well priced for what it offers! The fact that you actually tried in a live setting makes your review better than anyone else!
Thanks! I always test my gear out live before doing a video on it 🤘
Great info. Appreciate the analysis!
Great Video as always Scott. Thank You!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Greg!
Thanks for the review. I've been looking at these for rehearsing with in ears with the band so I don't keep stepping on the cable to the in ears.
If you don't have a lot of wireless already, these are definitely great for practice!
Thanks for all the gear reviews!
Thanks for watching!
Excellent info for what I need. Thank you!
🤘🤘
As always, great video!
Thanks!
I think you are good at doing reviews. Love your comments about price vs quality and what to watch out for when you by. I bought a Lekato 5 Ghz based on your reviews. It works like a charm.
I like pickles to 🙂
Awesome! Glad the wireless is working for you 🤘
Thanks for all the info! I have the m-vave ones, which are the same thing and they costed me like $35 US
Yup I’ve seen those, and they looks exactly the same as this one
Thank you for the review, seems really good for such a cheap product.
Yup, it has its limitations for sure, but it’s priced well for what it does!
These are definitely great for practice!
Scott! Thank you for your videos. I've been learning a lot from them, especially about iem systems and backing tracks. Love your content and keep up the great work. 😁
Thanks for watching Jody!
Thank you. Really helpful and detailed.
i have used them from 6 months and i have some comments:
1.- The system works great, fantastic. but i found that if you can put the emitter to charge while you're using it the signal strength goes up.
2.- Static interference is something you would have to take in consideration. i played in a gig and the band was on a recently put synthetic grass and the static electricity wouldn't let us use the system, we went on cables.
aside from those comments, really great cheap system.
Thanks for sharing your experience!
Awesome! Just what I needed.
🤘🤘
Ahhh this is the little system I have. I got it for solo acoustic gigs... its cheap plasticy... but seriously... sounds great !
Yeah for solo acoustic gigs it’s perfect!
That’s pretty insane!
Yeah when you go this cheap, it’s definitely not going to work every show.
Cheers
Thanks! I do think that 5.8 is going to start getting more crowded too just like 2.4 unfortunately
Just ordered this system. I plan to use it as a wireless guitar transmitter.
This is not a wireless guitar system. This is for in ear monitors. This is for guitar: ua-cam.com/video/hfcvqoNr594/v-deo.html
