- Hello once again, here's a another video I made over the course of the year, I started making a Dark Souls 3 video in June but I had it on hold until now just so I could finish this one, hope you enjoy and most of all thank you for staying with me during this 16 month hiatus.
Used motion interpolation for a high frame rate and fluid slow motion once again.
Please note that this video was edited and intended to be watched at 60fps, which is only provided in the HD options, as a few scenes don't display correctly and some animations simply don't appear at all in a lower framerate.

I think that pretty much sums up the concept I was going for, hence the emphasis on the Evangelion series.

@@bongo3997 thank you very much, I think making a tutorial on something that has science to it but is so subjective and changes from scene to scene would be very hard to do ( at least a good one )

Usually amvs have lower quality than that of the source material. How could this look better than the source material ? How is this possible ? Am I witnessing a miracle ?
Might be my color grading and post processing shenanigans causing that illusion, specially on youtube where the quality is highly degraded compared to the download link in the description , but thank you
MrNosec It makes me seriously wish that shows that might have the budget for it take that extra step for editing like this. Whether it’s heightened contrast and colour shifting, blur effects, chromatic aberration, glows, etc its amazing how much it adds visually and artistically. Absolutely superb job I swear my pupils must’ve been fully dilated the whole time.
Thank you, some animes do have fantastic looking effects like kara no kyoukai, the 3rd Berserk movie also has very good color grading, among others, but I suspect those had an absurd amount of budget compared to the more " cannon fodder " seasonal anime, where its overly simplistic in its visuals and animation with cookie cutter art style, those shows can be enjoyable dont get me wrong but they feel like the bare minimum effort was put into its presentation at times
@@MrNosec only mimum effort here was the end angel wings, this really pumped me up throughout, this is visually administered adrenaline in short, i hope you get heavily noticed and headhunted by studios for this work. best amv i have ever seen and the only thing that come anywhere close would be blizzard trailers, i just watched the download copy on my 4k oled and studio monitors kicking ...just WOW!

Literally my only critique is that this isn't in 4k so I can just binge watch this on repeat on my 4K TV. I want my eyes to bleed from the sheer glory that is this video.
Sorry about that, I couldn't upload my 4k upscale with "detail-preserving upscale" from Ae on yt, cuz it got limited to 30fps only at the time and that just wouldn't do, but I tested it nowadays with another video and I'm able to upload 4k60fps now, sadly I no longer have the original .avi file to upscale or the project footage

This is the prettiest AMV ever made. The 60FPS works really well as the defining gimmick of the AMV, and the slow bit at the start is easily the best part. It makes this show look so damn good with the slow but dramatic movements. Also, Kaworu looks even fucking hotter than normal and that's no small feat. Good job!

@@JoshyYoshiAMV I take some breaks every now and then because I edit in very long bursts of time which can get overwhelming and you lose sight of what you actually did until you take a break and come back to it later, so I can't say how long for sure, but it's a very different kind of video and much longer too. If it was a 2-3min amv it would be done long ago

I'm back after 2 and a half years is it still amaze me.
Personally speaking I can say without a doubt that this is the best AMV of this show, that has ever been made. Discovered it about a year ago and often find myself rewatching it. Don't know why others don't use Twixtor or similar tools more often, IT ADDS SO MUCH!!!

My God. After seeing this I have a whole new perspective as to what emotions an amv is capable of evoking. Really I'm thankful for the amount of work you had to put into this. I've begun watching the anime and am progressively realizing what pushed you to put so much effort into creating this masterpiece.
Ey thank you very much, I really loved the series and wanted to make something like an "homage" to it, and maybe even leave my name linked to the name "Evangelion" in some way, I was never one for making a story in a video but I did intend to evoke distinct feelings throughout, sometimes they can be hard to express to the viewer but I find that much more rewarding than telling a story

Personally I feel like this is the kind of media we need in the industries of Virtual reality and Augmented reality. @@kcidike4397 nah. The rebuild has good animation, but without the og, you can't really appreciate it beside it's animation.
Plus, NGE and TEoE has a good story and animation too. I actually prefer the old one.

I remember on the twitching things I first tried using a wiggle expression the timeremap property with very high frequency, and it stayed that way for a long time while making the video, but every time I rewatched I felt like it didn't fit the constant hummmm of the song so I did it this way instead

basically it's "timeremap-value of slider control 1 multiplying by slider control 2" the intensity of slider control 1 (which just goes 1-0-1-0-1-0) is modulated by slider control 2 by using it as a multiplier like "slider1*slider2", so if slider2 is animated from 1 to 0.5, slider 1 's value also decreases accordingly without needing to change each keyframe individually.
