I read the manga. Pretty average overall, great concept with blood powers but very meh execution, shallow development and a pretty generic happy ending.
@@purplejinxer3478 Havent read the manga so no comment about the quality, but the take of "generic happy ending" I do take issue with... at least when it comes to anime a "happy ending" is not really guaranteed nor really all that common, maybe if you are reading a romatic comedy or a harem anime, sure... but most animes that I have seen to conclusion (which is hundreds at this point) seem to have a bitter sweet ending (more bitter than sweet) so I am actually really glad when an anime has a proper happy ending.

this anime deserves to be remade by another studio, the manga was fire. it was the first I read as a kid since i was dissatisfied with the incomplete anime but glad to be able to continue it way better with the manga. Still, one of the best OP of all times in my opinion.

It wasn't "cancelled", anime is literally promotion material for manga. It's VERY rare when manga gets more than one season, if any... just look at Petshop of Horrors, semi-popular series with 3 sequels, and all it had is 4 OVAs.
I wish with all my wish for Madhouse or ufoTABLE to just nut up and reboot this series. It should only take like 2 seasons but man would those two seasons shake the world. As good as the anime was, it didn't even scratch the surface of how great the manga is.

Look at Terra Formars. Season 1 was just perfect, but then it switches studio, causing the whole tone to go from Bloodborne to Telly Tubbies.
