It feels like I made these only 3 years ago or so but it's been so long already, I was also finishing up school during this time. Artists/AMV editors like Artofeel and Nostromo already used twixtor to interpolate anime footage, but you're correct, ITL was the "benchmark" for the use of Twixtor in anime as we know it, I think I use a different method from his, not quite sure because I never asked Lolligerjoj himself, but he has an explanation on how to achieve it in text format, I have a link to a tutorial in the description if you're curious on how it can be done ^^

And don't worry if your first AMV doesn't come off perfect , this is basically my first try at making an AMV and it has it's flaws. No promisses on a colab thou, and I truly hope you don't think I see myself as some elite fag, nono not at all, I just never accept colabs because interacting with others is really not my strong suit, I am a very hard person to deal and work with, or so I've been told, so I spare people the hassle. Hope you understand, but best of luck and looking foward to whatever you might come up with ^_~

And yes I agree completely, colabs are one of the most effective ways to suddenly bringing thousands of new viewers to check you out, but since I'm rarely available or inspired [ it's not like me uploading every 5 months gave it away already or anything ;^) ] and to be quite honest I find joy and self satisfaction in achieving over 18k subscribers with nothing more than just me and my computer, editing whatever comes to mind, I never ask for subs or likes because, the reason I make videos is sort of a way to express myself, it feels exciting to create something, and last but not least, give people a good time and interact with them in any way I can.

Thank you very much. Now about the video. It's good. I think it is very very well done, especially the twixtor is handled superbly. Sync is pretty cool in most parts too. I don't really like the music though, it's all over the place. Though I can't help but feel strange about some of those scenes and effects, since at parts it seems like you wanted to recreate scenes from my videos almost 1:1. I know that that probably is a pretty good learning experience for you. I too looked at lots of other AMVs very closely when I made ITL (which was my first AMV). But I really want to urge you to start respecting your own creativity more. I promise you, if you make a video that you really think is made up all by your own ideas, that would be even more satisfying. It's not that I am particularly bugged by this video, I just want to give you this advice because I suspect you could do very very interesting vids using that skill of yours but with your own ideas.

But now, since I saw you loving Araragi and Monogatari (My favorite Anime series and my favorite Anime character), I love you even more. Pls continue. To the AMV: It's very hard for anyone who has seen Into The Labyrinth to not compare it to any other Dubstep Monogatari amv, since the few intense fighting scenes that are in there WILL be in it. But I have to say, Akira and Evangelion made it even a bit more intense. I respect the months of work that went into this, and you definitely deserve all the awards. Keep going, Nosec.

Tiberius207 I did have that scene included in the gory build-up scene before the calm sequence, but I couldnt fix the twixtor interpolation for the life of me, so I ended up not using it
Auraknight it's just music I've picked up along the years I've been on youtube, there isn't a " AMV music " genre, just use a song you like or that you think it fits.
I'm sure you can get to my level or even better if you really want to, this was all self taught from tutorials on youtube, some more tuts on videocopilot.net and just experimenting with the software in general, in fact it was my first video with After Effects, so best of luck in your editing endeavors!
yeah i use sony vegas to edit but i want to try to use after effects as well bc i feel like you can do so much more on AE. I feel like i've gotten a little better though (not nearly as good as you though lol). im working on a tokyo ghoul amv right now and im just hoping it turns out good.

Stoneheart I'm nothing out of the ordinary when it comes to souls skills really x) But when you're playing reaction time based 3rd person melee combat games like Devil May Cry since you're 8 it's a little easier.

oh god no they dont know how to do it now...i didnt expected a reply, even less that soon^^ but i see why it wont happen, imagine drawing 1 sec of animation, thats 25 frames. people in the anime industry already commit suicide under the pressure of their work...now put 35 frames more to every second...i think no one should work that hard for entertainment. maybe if they master interpolation to a point where you cant even see glitches in long scenes. well until they find out, i will enjoy your precious eye candy of videos as replacement for that xD
Deso Taku While anime is mostly at 23,976 fps they only animated 12 of those 24-ish frames, the rest are duplicates, now imagine if they actually had to draw 60, 12x5=60, 5 times more than they do, now THAT's high budget xD But I'm sure animation will evolve in the future, everything changes sooner or later.
yeah i think you are right about that. and yes i forgot that a lot of the frames are still pictures. but well, we went from pong to games like battlefield and even anime made a big jump from like i.e. the 80s and such.
Deso Taku true, Akira was the movie where the industry started to fully animate the faces of their characters, and just comparing Eva 1.11 to 3.33, the visual upgrade is very noticeable, not to mention the original neon genesis, so the future is bright ^^

And yes I agree completely, colabs are one of the most effective ways to suddenly bringing thousands of new viewers to check you out, but since I'm rarely available or inspired [ it's not like me uploading every 5 months gave it away already or anything ;^) ] and to be quite honest I find joy and self satisfaction in achieving over 18k subscribers with nothing more than just me and my computer, editing whatever comes to mind, I never ask for subs or likes because, the reason I make videos is sort of a way to express myself, it feels exciting to create something, and last but not least, give people a good time and interact with them in any way I can.

Now about the video. It's good. I think it is very very well done, especially the twixtor is handled superbly. Sync is pretty cool in most parts too. I don't really like the music though, it's all over the place.
Though I can't help but feel strange about some of those scenes and effects, since at parts it seems like you wanted to recreate scenes from my videos almost 1:1. I know that that probably is a pretty good learning experience for you. I too looked at lots of other AMVs very closely when I made ITL (which was my first AMV). But I really want to urge you to start respecting your own creativity more. I promise you, if you make a video that you really think is made up all by your own ideas, that would be even more satisfying. It's not that I am particularly bugged by this video, I just want to give you this advice because I suspect you could do very very interesting vids using that skill of yours but with your own ideas.

To the AMV: It's very hard for anyone who has seen Into The Labyrinth to not compare it to any other Dubstep Monogatari amv, since the few intense fighting scenes that are in there WILL be in it. But I have to say, Akira and Evangelion made it even a bit more intense. I respect the months of work that went into this, and you definitely deserve all the awards.

yeah i use sony vegas to edit but i want to try to use after effects as well bc i feel like you can do so much more on AE. I feel like i've gotten a little better though (not nearly as good as you though lol). im working on a tokyo ghoul amv right now and im just hoping it turns out good.

but i see why it wont happen, imagine drawing 1 sec of animation, thats 25 frames. people in the anime industry already commit suicide under the pressure of their work...now put 35 frames more to every second...i think no one should work that hard for entertainment. maybe if they master interpolation to a point where you cant even see glitches in long scenes. well until they find out, i will enjoy your precious eye candy of videos as replacement for that xD
Deso Taku While anime is mostly at 23,976 fps they only animated 12 of those 24-ish frames, the rest are duplicates, now imagine if they actually had to draw 60, 12x5=60, 5 times more than they do, now THAT's high budget xD
But I'm sure animation will evolve in the future, everything changes sooner or later.
yeah i think you are right about that. and yes i forgot that a lot of the frames are still pictures. but well, we went from pong to games like battlefield and even anime made a big jump from like i.e. the 80s and such.
Deso Taku true, Akira was the movie where the industry started to fully animate the faces of their characters, and just comparing Eva 1.11 to 3.33, the visual upgrade is very noticeable, not to mention the original neon genesis, so the future is bright ^^
