EZGO RXV Key Switch Replacement

Old faulty key switch removed and replaced with new key switch purchased from Amazon.
tools used:
1. cordless drill
2. T30 torx

I have a 2008 ez go. All of the sudden when I turn the key on the box under the seat makes a couple abnormal chirps and then does nothing. (Won’t go in forward or reverse) any idea what could have went bad? Thanks.
