I literally pulled a DAMN nice 650 Savage out of a trash pile two days ago and this is on the list of what needs to be done since there were no keys with it. Thanks for the video! Super helpful.
FYI. I just recently lost the only key to my Suzuki VS1400 I just bought recently. Called a locksmith and ask if I took the ignition key switch to him could he make a key. He said yes so I met him at a supermarket. He drove like a oversized van with a mobile shop. Here's the part that may piss you off or make you kinda chuckle. That switch you took off has a black strip on one edge of it. I seen it , my bike has too. There's numbers barely visible on purpose that is the code for that switch. He said he can run that code and have a key made in 5-10 minutes. His system was down and not responding so he took my switch apart and could still made me two keys that also worked the gas cap , helmet lock , sissy bar tool box slick as a whistle in 20 minutes. For his time and two keys...15 bucks. That's a hell yeah moment
Google the service manual pdf It’ll have the entire schematic in the electrics diagram Most likely gonna be a neutral safety switch though if it won’t turn over at all. Worked on the clutch lately?
Your going to need either the electrical bypass code that came with the bike or you need a new key w/ programmed chip they work with a chipped key, transponder & immobilizer
Just bought an '81 GS650G with no keys. This video was very helpful. Thanks dude.
Same with me virago 500 no key lmao didn't help with the tank though 💀

Well nice video.only issue is the bike never started,so how do I know if what you did works or not?
I’m going to need the dealership so I can add fuel. Still great vid
Drill the keyhole on gas tank lid then just replace the lid
you just twist connect everything? even the ground?
I thought these bikes all had that hundred ohm resistor where is that at it's supposed to be in that gray wire
Yes that and gz 250 for spark
I think I have a bad ignition switch or a blown fuse. Can you tell me where to find the fuses on a 2000 Savage LS650?
I'm hot wiring the same bike haha 2011 tho

What about a kill switch this work on sportster to
Or kick stand safety switch
What are those 2 black and yellow wire going to with the three prong connector
This only works for super old bikes late model bikes all have anti theft systems
I just keep a connector like that hooked up to a plunger switch. Unplug the igningtion, plug the connector in and push to go
Can i bypass my ignition switch signal in inazuma250
I dont have a switch nomore
find the wires from the switch panel (2 wires) and strip them a little and connect them together, it doesn't matter that you don't have jack...
Does this eat the battery ?

Right! Some dudes know everything, however in your case this may actually be true
@robsim4692 I've been through 4 different suzuki savages. If I didn't learn some things by now I should just give up motorcycling😂
