The 1 step colder discussed in the video is also correct for the ST

Great vids and products. Why do you guys run the gap at .026? I bought plugs from Mountune that were pre gapped at .028 Denso one step closer. Reason I went through them was I already had their MP275 package and having spark plugs come pre gapped was easier. Just curious why Mountune goes with .028 and you guys recommend .026. I recently added a down pipe 100 cel cat and switched to Mountune's MR300 calibration since I already had their Mountune access port which saved me money on purchasing a whole new V3 access port which I will do eventually and purchase from you guys. I find the Mountune MR300 calibration to be a bit more conservative with more of an emphasis on top end power.

The gap we recommend is based on experience. Further keep in mind the gap does open over time so having it a little tighter will have you go longer between regapping.

Go larger than .025". The larger the gap you can get away with the lager and faster. I'd try .028" and close if necessary...just some advice from a fellow RS owner. Book stock from ford is .026".

Christopher Ayres just looked it up from ford, stock the gaps are .031 I'm pretty sure.... I could be wrong.

Christopher Ayres weird.... took it to a ford dealer and they said different. Guess it isn't a big difference from .026-.034.

Christopher Ayres got the book out the gap is .030 for a 2017 focus rs lol

Derek denso claims .026. NGK I believe says the same although denso is pre gapped to "factory's". When I pulled mine they were anywhere from .025-.030 at 200 miles New so I guess anything between .25-.30 would work. The logic is to have the largest gap without loosing electrical so your plugs will make the largest spark. So it makes sense there are different gaps as we have iridium, platinum, etc.

For a stock vehicle the stock heat range works very well
