They are becoming aware that every single word we write or say in Internet is stored, including what I am writing right now of course. They are becoming aware that such a huge amount of data is stored mostly in private companies computers. +Haylee Guggia - This attorney is purposefully playing the 'dumb as a fox' argument. Don't undersell his smarts. I saw exactly what he was doing there. What you don't realize is that evidence has been brought forth that Facebook keeps copies of everything you deleted, including personal photos, private messages, postings, etc. You think you've deleted it, but they still have it. They even capture information from your other devices such as private text messages from your cell phone, cell phone photos and other data without your permission! How about them making a copy of everyone on your Facebook friends list AND, everyone and their phone numbers that are in your cell phone contact list, WITHOUT YOUR OR THEIR PERMISSION OR KNOWLEDGE? Did you know they do this? That is what he was getting at.
(cont.) The fact that when you download something as innocuous as a 'flashlight app' or an app that allows you to put angel wings & halos or bunny noses on your selfies, you have been forced to click 'agree'. Would you actually trust Zuckerberg when he says when would never do that. It would be a massive breach but he never says they wouldn't share the info. Really?
Out of all the Senators that questioned him that day, we're talking Harvard and Yale lawyers, John Kennedy was the only one who approached it with grace and his honest opinion on the matter. He had some questions, he just wanted them answered. He may not have fully gotten what he wanted, but he got what was needed and that was a testimony.
What was his point? YOU put YOUR information into the system, they do not share it WITHOUT YOUR consent. If you do not put your information into the system no one gets it. That's literally how social media works.

ACtually me too. I think the answers Mark gave were genuine and sounded concerned, and the Senator was trying to reword it as best he could to catch him on something
How many "Time's does he reapeating the "oh Senator"!
Facebook and Twitter have both kick me out for just reposting political news on
Wow that doesn’t surprise….if it isn’t in the same direction of the “agenda”.
There is a mistake in the description as it says 2017
A bit hypocritical for lawmakers to call out a website for having a user agreeement that's hard to understand when the laws they pass are even more incomprehensible.
Senator, Please ask me a question I haven't answered eight times already I can only rephrase the same thing so many times.
"It would be a breach" was the conclusion.
I'm dying laughing at that opening monologue
His questions are so stupid, especially the last one, its like saying:
"Do you have a kitchen knife"
"Yes"
"COULD you stab me with it?"
"Yes but that would be murder"
"So u COULD stab me, ok this man is a murderer"
Can someone spot me 75IQ points after watching this.
Haylee Guggia I agree with him. Definitely 75 IQ point difference minimum.
Sen Kennedy attended Oxford and obtained a BCL. He is a skilled, knowledgeable attorney.
the truth ok but I still believe there is a considerable difference in intelligence.
What they don't tell you clearly is that by doing so, YOU HAVE GIVEN THEM ACCESS TO EVERYTHING. This is not right, not ethical, not moral and just plain trickery and theft. The senator is just asking to make this type of theft illegal and wants it stopped.
Thanks for FB Mark. Blessings all 🙏
This reminds me when I'm talking about my research proposal with lectures :D
5:29 That's the Southern way of saying "It better not be breached or y'all getting put down boy"
Warfighter Your observation was excellent. I was wondering what the heck the whole line of questioning was about because it didn't seem to accomplish anything...on the surface. But yes, it makes sense he was warning him. Thanks for the insight. 👍🙏
3:09 that pause between the question and the answer
I can already hear Zucc's balls clenching.
Lightning-in-my-Hand because he asked the same question 5 times, I would get annoyed after awhile too
Your file does not come to you get download error tried several times to file suit
“Senator Senator Senator. malfunction that does not compute” *zap noises
I love senator Kennedy's honesty and humor
A republicon named, "John Kennedy." SOMEONE has a sense of humor!
JFK would probably be a republican today. Times change
2:05 is there any user rights that wants their members to know their rights? How many softwares, credit card companies, loans companies, etc. do this already?
Sen. John Kennedy did not let Zuckerberg deflect, and act like he already is doing everything to protect users, as fb is not, great job Sen. Kennedy you kept asking the questions and did not let Zuckerberg diffuse the point of the questions. Which was in part is fb taking all responsible precautions to protect fb user's privacy no they are not we know that but Z. tried to act like they are.
I love his accent. As a New Zealander I remember the 60's TV show Green Acres. Senator Kennedy sounds like Mr Haney to me..lol
We need more Senators like John Kennedy
Shut Facebook down asap
This is a man who's home we would all look forward to being invited for lunch/dinner... a chat and great counsel...
I like mr. Kennedy's spirit, but the way he let Zuckerberg stand his ground through lack of comprehension is admittedly something that pains me. No disrespect, but I feel we need younger generations who grew up with the rise of Facebook and have a much deeper understanding of the extent of the dangers of phenomena like this.
FB control everyone, personally I would still use my nokia 3310 and play snake 2
Yes, I have been receiving my oders from Facebook for almost ten years now. GTFO of here with that garbage.
mykeegaming&travels Tiongson hahah:)
It feels good to be a One Percenter ... of people who don't use F book. Who can blame this reptilian. People are victims of their own high self esteem who think the whole world should know and care they love Cheerios and are fans of the Backstreet Boys. You gotta give it to this guy for exploiting people's ego.
Do it then!!
Did you say Nokia 😂😂😂
2:22 "written in English and Non-Swahilli".. Please bury me😂😂😂
imaging getting lectured by a boomer that probably doesnt even know how to open facebook on a fancy cellular telephone
This just went in one ear & out the other.
May GOD love Senator Kennedy!!!
Mark is lying through his teeth. He knows very well that we all have to agree with that user agreement in order to access Facebook. Props to Senator Kennedy for calling him out!
John Kennedy is amazing. Telling these people off
This Senator doesn't care who he's dealing with, he lays it out there.
"Hey Mark, can you please explain to me what computers are. I am a simple man and my secretary that uses facebook on my behalf is also 90 years old"
Does this senator even know how to use Facebook? Data were what we put in the app and consent is in our hands by putting those in the app; So Senator Do you have full control of your data?
I think this is actually Mark schooling Kennedy instead
agreed
I’ve seen a lot of videos where they just ramble on trying to make a point and he just gives the same answer in different ways, and they just don’t understand what’s going on
Nope. Other way around.
Facebook shares your information to anyone they want no matter what user form you sign. If the FBI wants the information on you Facebook gives it to them even though they say they don't.
With this type of data they know every aspect of your life
And you give it to them yourself.
Then how come I got blocked from FB for discussing issues of injured pilots and aviation situations??
"im ouuta taam boay it goes fast dudnt it." I present to you the English language, ladies and gentlemen.
What was his point?
YOU put YOUR information into the system, they do not share it WITHOUT YOUR consent. If you do not put your information into the system no one gets it. That's literally how social media works.
Lol 😂 this guy doesn’t even have the most basic understanding of how Facebook / social media in general works. So why should anyone take advise from him on a topic he clearly doesn’t understand
Crypto or gold 🪙 which one is advisable now?
Kennedy seems steady, and reasonable enough to be President. He also clearly has the education and IQ. Might be time to nominate him and force him to take the job.
3 years later. Censorship never been this high
HOW does a billionaire still have the worst haircut..day after day?
Because clones have weak hair.
Goatboy9099 Because robots can’t grow hair
Bowl on head, shave all around bowl.
What is a timeshare? I never heard of it even I lived in the U.S for 40 years and served in U.S navy
You go Sen Kennedy! You know your right...
Senator is talking to him like he's his son and he's really disappointed in him.
