Years ago it was $75/per game. The pay went up to $150/game and I guess now the pay is $500/game. They used to not be paid for practice which used to last 12 weeks but was cut 8 weeks and they are now paid for attending mandatory practice.
The ladies that get into training camp are given a book of all rules and everything they need will need. Dance tights, hair, makeup, nails, etc. was to be paid by the cheerleader. I never heard that the cheerleaders have to pay for the uniform as they cannot keep it even though it is custom made for each cheerleader.
They had to have a job or be in school but everything revolves around the cheerleading schedule, so whatever job they have, their supervisor/HR have to be okay with them having a hard out at the end of the day.
The women are paid for appearances so that story of a cheerleader not making any money from those is odd.

@@kellycowley3535 ok but that doesn't make the Dallas Cowboys a rugby team. The are in the National Football League, AKA American Football

To be fair, nobody is making these women try out for this team. Yes, I think they should earn a very decent salary. Especially considering Jerry Jones is a billionaire. He can easily afford it. But, at the end of the day, these women as a collective group need to walk away from this franchise until they meet their demands or accept it as it is.

There really is only one question to ask yourself..... Why do it at all? They can only do it up to 5 seasons, there are no benefits, the pay is crap and as we have seen time and time again it is really bad for alot of their mental health. I only come up with one answer. They want to feel like they belong to something. That's about it. I could and would never do it even if I was 20, in the best condition and could do all of this no problem. I would never subject myself to that. If all the girls would stop going until things got better, things would change, but they don't.

I don't believe these women are in it for the monet. They get to be a DCC for a time and dance, which most of them want to do. They get to travel and meet interesting people.

So just stop having cheerleaders. They're pointless.
