- #Willowsprings #kayakfishing. This trip was a little different than what I expected. I went in hopes to catch some tiger trout and I did end up catching one little tiny one, and I caught a few good rainbow trout, but what surprised me the most about fishing willow springs was the amount of small-mouth bass that are in there. I was close to just switching over to small-mouth fishing, but I stuck with my plan and kept targeting the trout. I probably would have caught more fish, but I just might have to come back another time just to fish the smallies. Willow springs is a beautiful place and the perfect size for kayak fishing.

G-O-A-L Fishing thats awesome! You two really do make a great team! I just got a paddle board and will be trying out fishing spots where you’ve been going over a free weekend. Most times I just hit the lower salts. I’m not very good at fishing but I’m learning a lot watching you!

There’s days where we catch nothing but rainbows and days we’ll catch nothing but Tiger trout. Beautiful lake.
BigFish LilBoat59 it is a beautiful place. I was just there last week ice fishing and I caught both tigers and rainbows. That episode should be coming out next week when it’s done being edited.
I have fished that lake many a time... but I have never caught a smallmouth bass out of Willow Springs.... 🤷🏻♂️

Went camping up there about a year ago and had no idea there were largemouth in the water cause I thought it was too cold for them but my brother caught a nice 2 pound one during spring
Trolling with Cowbell/ Lake Trolls work great.
Bern there trout fishing and heard there was bass but never got any..might have to give it a try

John Blachaniec haha! The boat ramp there is fine, I’m just a dummy and launched from the other side of the lake where it was a lot harder to launch the Kayak. Learned my lesson on that one.
@@GOALFishing Trust me, I have shore fished from that side which is worth it but head to the dam next time, little deeper water.

theres no bluegill in willow those were green sunfish
ReelingRaman cool man thanks. All those different little bait fish look the same to me and I haven’t put much effort into learning how to tell them apart.
Once you keep 4 trout, you can't fish for them the rest of the day.
