Absolutely best guide available for beginners and experienced anglers alike. Great job on the video Mark, you are a treasure to the fishing community. ❤🎣🐟
They’ve been stocking some very healthy looking trout in these ponds lately. A normal sized stocker would be about 2lbs. A very good trophy stocker would be about 4 to 5lbs. But those ones are pretty rare. If you catch one of those again, you should definitely try to mount it on the wall. That would honestly be pretty sick!
This is a very in-depth trout fishing tutorial. Very well done. It was great to see all it put into action. You guys have so much fun it's very infectious. Makes you want to go fishing right then. Have a wonderful Christmas and a blessed new year.
Thank you. I live in AZ as well. I just got my very first pole for Christmas and am about to go try my luck at a community lake. 29 years old 😅 better late then never.
I was there at papago monday afternoon after work but i didn't catch anything but the flu and here im watching your video at 4 am taking my medicine to get well so i can go get those beautiful trouts .... Great video like always man ✌️
Great tips! Hello here from SoCal! Just a psa for those that catch and release please be gentle and revive the fish before releasing them as they will often die if just tossed back in like a bass. I also recommend braid such as 5lb braid with 4 lb fluorocarbon leader makes detecting the subtle bites so much easier especially when the trout are being finicky.
I haven’t tried braid yet but I definitely want to. And I would certainly revive a bigger fish if I was releasing. These babies the fights over in like 30 seconds so most of them are good to go lol
Wow you are a great trout fisherman, I have been trying at Surprise and Paloma but only caught one fish in 5 outings I am using that yellow 4 pond Mr Crappie line that might be hurting me they say the fish can't see it when its underwater the weather cools this year going to try 4 pond trilene fluorocarbon? Again cool videos
I need this bad... these canals are just not the business right now... went from multiple cats a night to maybe a bite or two... never trout fished either guess it's time to learn lol
i recommend a longer rod 7-7'6 ft. medium light works well and also just light . Like something with a softer tip and a tiny bit of back bone so it can throw those jigs out far
Hello. I just went and fished chaparral lake with no luck. I was using natural and garlic power bait. Are there any spots in these lakes that are hotspots for trout. It is hard to find the fish in these lakes
Not really, unfortunately as I stated in the video sometimes you just get unlucky and the fish don’t cruise by you. They can be as specific as a foot or 2 in an area
At 15:18 I absolutely hate that bird. I called them ' the black submarine'. Why I hate them ? Because they love to eat Trout or whatever fish they catch. This bird is one of the main reasons I usually don't go Trout fishing. I remembered a few years ago my favorite Trout urban lake was Chaparral Lake in Scottsdale, one year a lot of these birds came out of nowhere and they started eating lots of Trout and I couldn't catch anything. When they go under the water, forget it, they either eat or scare the fish. Ohh man I hate those birds, yes I know they have to eat too : ((
There fish I see them jump like actually beautiful fish maybe 4 pounds but I feel like their pressured a lot there’s also cormorants chasing them and some of these parks are new and some get renovated the waters aren’t as clean but I’m still going out there everyday almost no trout yet
Yes lol that’s exactly why they stock them. Raised in a hatchery they’re perfectly fine to eat. They don’t hang around in these ponds long enough to soak up anything harmful
Urban trout stocking in Phoenix is somewhat cruel and stocking 5 lb trout is absurd. Best fishing for trout is on the rim or white mountains from mid September to mid November. There actuallly are some wild trout in AZ
Yeah it's a little odd but the trout are super fun to catch and the kids love it. id say 95% of the trout stocked get caught and eaten and the rest go to the ecosystem. Fun way to drive 15-20 minutes and catch fish rather than 2-4 hrs to chase trout
That dude is a hater. AZ canals, ponds and lakes. The state is full of fun fishing. Not to mention dirt biking, boating, hiking, shooting. Keep up the great content!! Cheers.

Hahahaha thanks man
Great tutorial man!

Can you please tell me what ponds are those in the video here in Phoenix
What rod do you recommend for throwing 1/64-1/32 micro jigs and magnets
i recommend a longer rod 7-7'6 ft. medium light works well and also just light . Like something with a softer tip and a tiny bit of back bone so it can throw those jigs out far
Have they stocked at Cortez yet
Or what Parks have they stocked at cuz I'm trying to get out there this weekend
Literally says it in the first minute of the video how to find that info
Great video! You covered many options 🙌🏻 Did your pants really rip? 🥺
Thanks ma! Hey didn’t false alarm lol

I'm not a fan of them either, they need to do something to manage them in my opinion.
@@TheFishinMagician20 yes, they are aquatic pest.
Do you mind to recommend some good ponds/lakes for trout fishing for the beginners?
As I stated in the vid, there really isn’t one pond that better than another. Because the fish move around so much
In that case may I know which pond you went to?

Ye they can be very tricky, but yea pressure is high. Keep at it and you’ll slay one 🔥
(Second 🥳🥳) And where did you go?
Dubs, you’ll have to wait and find out :)
Do you guys eat these fish? I mean are they okay to eat?
Yes lol that’s exactly why they stock them. Raised in a hatchery they’re perfectly fine to eat. They don’t hang around in these ponds long enough to soak up anything harmful

@@FC2ESWS i get it haha

@@TheFishinMagician20I was gonna ask lol
Did you catch all the fish already?
lol I have already caught quite a few this season but released probably 80% of them

Minnows?😮
minnows are amazing also, don't think they're as necessary for the urban ponds tho
well I won't be watching your videos again on account of the witchcraft at the end..
lol 😂
Fishing for stocked fish is for kids. Not real fishing
We take what we can get here in Az
