Try keeping the fish in the water and wetting yours hands if you're going to handle them. All those fish you put back will not survive.

@GOALFishing Hey i am a disabled veteran and was just gifted a lifetime teton. I have not caught any yellows out at canyon. I have caught bass, cats, and bluegill. Where is a good place to try out for yellows. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Your original motor miunt was solid. Where you messed up was that you made it too high, adding more flex to it causing that movement. If the wood was lower and leaning directly on top of the Kayak, you would never have had that problem
