It is a reference to Operation Greif, where the Germans tried to camouflage themselves as American soldiers to sabotage behind the lines,However, since they could not capture enough tanks to do this, Then they disguised some Panthers as if they were M10s, they were discovered and in the end they ended up dead

I had one match in a Panther Dauphine against the Germans and a friendly shot me from a distance and kept locking on me for a while, he was in the Panther TV. We both exhange looks before going our ways

@@doughnuts87You dislike F? Why man? When you full modify it, it is great. I mostly play 6.0 and 6.3, and I fkn love that tank. 120mm in front, is 20mm more than TigerE. Frontal slopped armor is impenetrable for many tanks... Those extra 20mm means a lot. Also, it has lower reloading time compared to D, G and A.
@@APOLON-bm7ym Ya it's good, but Germany at 6.0 to 7.0 that's still WWII really gets hammered. I've been learnin the tank, trynna angle the turret but any way I angle it, the enemy always hits the front or side of my turret an it kills me. An the 75mm ain the best when paired against the Russian Cold War tanks lol. I don hate it, but I'm no good at it really. (Jus a major skill issue)
It's a shame thing mostly. The panther 2 depicted in game is physically impossible, let alone that it was never envisioned like that historically. The biggest issue with the Maus is that it's hard to balance.

Personally my favorite panther is the T-V because I had a very funny experience were I guess all the enemy German mains saw I was a panther and assumed I was a teammate only to be ammo racked by me shooting them in the side. So fun oh and then the fact that it matches in a line up with T34 85’s and IS-2’s

Fun fact: in the “6eme Regiment de Cuirassier' “ based in Treve, Germany the french used 6 panthers of there own that they have captured. In the 6eme regiment se cuirassier, a tiger tank was also used.

there should be a captured premium Panther in the American tek too considering the fact that there's an entire American Infantry Division dedicated to stealing German equipment and using it as their own
well wouldn´t say dedicated, but use of captured equipment did fill the dire need of expediency in the battlefield especially in the eastern front where germans did overstrech their supply lines..

germans did also try copying m8 greyhound and jeeps even, but they had very subtle inconsistencies to point of lighting equipment and even the use of incorrect markings...

@@panzerkampfwagen_ dunno if i can agree with that ”the panther did everything better than the tiger except for the cannon” bud. id say quite the opposite actually. first of all, armor. a properly angled tiger increases its armor to around 160-170mm, and it doesn’t take a genius to know that that’s completely ridiculous at its br range, while the front upper plate on the panther has around the same thickness, the turret armor only has the same thickness as the tiger’s front plate, which definitely isn’t known for being the strongest. and don’t even get me started on the panther’s side armor. now we set our sights on mobility. the panther does take the lead on this one, but only by an inch, since the tiger has pretty good mobility for a heavy tank. now last of all, the firepower. the tiger’s 88mm has around 150mm of pen, which is overall pretty decent for its br, while the panther easily beats this out with its 75mm cannon with around 170mm of pen, which makes up for the panther’s lack of armor. although, the tiger blows the panther out of the park when it comes to explosive filler. the panther’s explosive filler is pretty pathetic, so you probably aren’t going to one-shot a tank from a turret shot, meanwhile, since the tiger had a higher calliber, it can fit a lot more explosive filler in, 200 grams to be exact. this only works with the pzgr. shell, which sacrifices 12mm of pen for that insane amount of explosive filler. better yet, the explosive filler is just enough to overpressure the crew in tanks, making almost any penetrating shot guaranteed to one-shot the opponent. in conclusion, yes, the panther does beat the tiger out in some factors, but the tiger with it’s insane amount of armor completely overwhelms the panther, which is why i say the tiger does the job better than the panther in my opinion.
