Nukatap SS and FC Stainless Shuttle - A Possible Shuttle Alternative

- Nukatap SS and FC taps have earned a great reputation as being a reliable forward sealing tap that substantially reduces "first pour foam".
One of the ways we decrease the foam and improve the laminar flow is to use an over-molded fluid dynamic shuttle mechanism that is simply not possible to manufacture in stainless steel. With that said some customers in some circumstances may still want a stainless steel shuttle so this is the product for these unique customers.
If you have long faucet beer tap handles that put a lot of leverage on the shuttle it's possible to damage the stock standard plastic shuttle so for those customers this stainless shuttle alternative is an option for them.
For 95% of customers we recommend using the stock standard shuttle as it simply works better, is the most sanitary and is cable of higher pressures and better flow characteristics. - Навчання та стиль
I have about 8 Intertaps and 8 Nukataps, and I love my Nukataps the most. Never had a problem with them and highly recommend the NukaTaps! Keep up the great work. Thanks.
Thanks for that. We appreciate the support!
My friends and I are anxiously waiting for a 15 liter fermzilla. 🙏
Me too!
Yesss!!! 20 liters total for 15 liters batches. I want this mini Fermzilla😍
What would be the ideal size to ferment a half batch from a Brewzilla 35?
@@pablobelin752015-20 liters
We do have these that you could ferment in but the opening at the top is not large enough to get your hand into.:

Requesting a 2" TC collection chamber similar to the 3" TC collection chamber for the Fermzilla.
Might another benefit of the stainless steel shuttle be that it increases the overall thermal mass of the tap, keeping it colder better?
Increasing the thermal mass of the tap is generally a bad move. To be quite frank the stock plastic shuttle actually works better. Really the benefit of the stainless is for people who want to have long tap handles.
I have a request! I love the "Growler Spout with Push in type with O-rings", but the 10mm ID line makes it hard to fill a mini keg. Seeing as the line to the tap is 5mm ID and the line into the mini keg post is 5mm, could you do one that connects to a 5mm ID line? Even better, make one that has an 8mm duotight fitting?
Yes this is a good point. I think we should make a new type that is easier to fit to. We will design something now and get it completed.
Hi Kee, should you disconnect the beer line from the keg when replacing the shuttle??
Yes, otherwise, you will have a huge mess.
LOL
Yes definitely. Oops. Probably forgot to mention that part.
Is there a plastic shuttle upgrade for the original Intertap? 🙏
I'd like to see this as well. The Nukas came out about a month after I replaced all my chrome with steel intertaps so I'm not upgrading for a while
'Fraid not
Just ordered 3 nukataps to replace the cheap chrome ones. Next I’m buying the cannular can/bottle filler.
You wont look back. I really hate that chrome taps are still sold in Australia. Especially as most of the sanitizers we use in the industry are acid based, it's just a bad idea.
please, develop a simple floating deep tube with a magnet inside the floating ball.... this can be used to adjust the deep tube and also to use as a kegmeter, with a smaller magnet outside
I had a similar product with a floating magnet ball inside the keg and a little orange magnet that stuck to the outside. It sucked. The magnets fall off with the slightest bump of the keg
I'd love to see Stainless Fermzilla instead of Pet. 4" TC on top and 3" on the buttom
Yes this is something we are doing at the moment. You can expect this to be completed this year.
Nice improvement, I’m more concerned with my nukatap which is green and corroded 😢
Do you clean them regularly? I can't imagine how this could happen. I clean mine between every keg and haven't seen any issues.
@@BitterRealityBrewing No I don't, it's the soda water tap, run in line with one of their continuous soda water keg kids) with high pressure (compared to beer).
All keg land equipment.
I guessing it has something to do with CO2 acid or something like that 🤔.
@@nedt That's corrosion of the chrome plated layer on it. I didn't like that they were chrome plated and returned them.
ofc this could happen as these are not made from ss. just a cheapo hrome plated stuff which acid tolerace is very low.
@@nedt Thank you, and I'll keep an eye on mine as I've only been using them for just over a year now. (I have two that have been used for about 2 years, but the majority were put into production early last year.) I have an 8 tap keezer with mainly Intertap and a Komos 8 tap kegerator with all Nukataps.
