You can burn changes as often as you like, although it is worth noting that the flash memory in your Megasquirt is only designed to withstand approximately 100,000 burn operations during its lifetime. Whilst you are extremely unlikely to exceed this number, it is always good practice to plan your changes carefully to enhance the life of your Megasquirt as well as to protect your engin

I should make more because I did the same as you and the whole “it’s easy to tune yourself” aspect that I read on their website was a lie!! Their is so much you need to know with the Megasquirt to make it run right!! But I’m glad I can help!!
I'm fighting some crazy idle surge right now I'm going to try my best to follow your video and I really hope it helps I feel I have more mods then this megasquirt can compensate for. But I don't know it has been very frustrating.
Gonna be using a Megasquirt on my build, doing AFR 165 heads, ported explorer intake, XE265 cam. This will be my first time doing any tuning so I'm scared but excited to try it out!

Hi, I would be happy to get such a good vacuum. If you have a vacuum leak your kpa value would go higher (towards surounding pressure) not lower. greetings Bernhard
I ended up going with a T5 with G-force internals built by Pro Motion performance It's supposed to be really heavy duty and still really light all the reviews on it were amazing and for my 700hp power goal right now it should be perfect. Later on I would like to go T56 though.
Lower number kpa is more vacuum and higher number kpa is less vacuum. I have an xe 274 hr cam in my car and it idles around 40 kpa. Stock cam would probably be a lower number.
My reason was I’m a bonehead and messed up haha I’m actually really upset I didn’t get a stinger It’s superior in every way to the MSPNP2 lol if your deciding I’d get the stinger over any standalone for the fox but second would be the terminator X but the MS3 software in the pimpXS is amazing and worth every Penny I just didn’t know they existed until after I bought my MS so I’m still a little salty about it 😂
Liked your vid. Burn means to save it into the EEPROM. Not knowing how tunerstudio works yet if you do not burn it just holds in RAM. When you "burn" it into the EEPROM it is saving to your car.
Definitely! That makes sense! Since I’ve made this video I’ve learned a lot more about the tuner studio/Megasquirt system their was a ton I didn’t know when I made this video I think I’ll make another soon about it!

DIYAUTOTUNE is where I got all my basic information they have a couple articles but the rest of the info has come from forums honestly their is not as much information out there on the tuning process as I’d like 😅 but A91what on stangnet has an awesome knowledge of these systems he knows almost everything about the tuner I would go to that forum and ask him if you need really specific answers
At 6:22 you are showing that with your car off your MAP is registering 62kpa. And then at idle you are at 20kpa. I bet if you just calibrated the MAP sensor correctly everything would have dialed in a bunch easier. Why does your MAP gauge display to 400kpa? Is that your calibration is for a 4 bar map? Do you have a 4 bar map in your car? Your MAP should mirror your BARO with the key on and the engine off. What altitude are you at? For me here in FL the MAP and BARO match up at 105kpa with the key on and the engine off.
Hey Chaz! Just setup my mega squirt in my fox and got all the way to the detect part, with ignition in the on position and the cable connected to my computer it won’t detect anything, not sure what’s going on
Sometimes it’s the drivers on your laptop. If you go on to the tunerstudio website they tell you which ones you need! I would give that a try but that would be my best bet!
So I watch your video trying to get my car to idle and did the PWM idle duty step and found where it opens but if I burn it or click off of it the car reeves up to 2500 rpms and sits there until I click enable test, how do I make it stop doing that because it never did it before?
Ok so their is a couple ways the test is just to find out where it opens you have to manually change these settings in closed loop idle and set the open value and set the closed value. If you want DM me on insta @iamchazhaynes and I can give you more advice since I made this video I've learned a lot more things about tunerstudio.
On your setup page your have it set up as 4 squirts per cycle. Is that correct for a alternating bank to bank arrangement? I would assume 2 squirts per cycle?
So I did some research on this and I’m going to play with it after I redo my fuel system but the answer I got was that the MSPNP2 comes with a preloaded tune and the the 4 squirts supposedly works better for the Foxbodies SBF which is kinda suspect to me as well one of the things I’m going to do is change it to 2 squirts and see how it affects Air Fuel and see if I need to change my VE table considerably! But your totally right I thought it was weird too
@@iamchazhaynes7074 if the injector pw is large it wont do much on small injector but on a larger injector you dont want too short of pw on so many squirts.
Got it! Yea since I am stepping up the injector to 88lb I’ll switch it to 2 squirts that’s honestly what I’ve been waiting for their was a bunch of weird settings in TS the accel enrich was DUMPING fuel into the system when I would barely touch the throttle as well
@@iamchazhaynes7074 YOu need to turn down the MAP dot values and do logs from the SD Card at 200 frames a second. You need to LOG MAP DOT, RPM DOT, RPM, TPS DOT ,TPS FUEL PW < PW and see where all the fuel is coming from and see if the rpm actually drops on accel . AFR readings can give you some data but its too slow to be meaningful on accel tip in.

Hi Chaz what was your reason for going with Megasquirt PNP over PimpXS from Stinger?

Why does my timing jump from 11 to 20 at idle I did everything the instructions told me to

I need help guys, I am getting no spark when the spout connector is connected and when disconnected it turns on as long as I pump the gas pedal
