Second one that appears in the video is a "200 series" surely with the 300 HP boost kit, decorated and with aerodynamic accessories from the Evo 2, but surely if you open the mechanical part you will see how it equips the rear subframe of the stradale version, not the tubular chassis of the Evo 2. Red car is surely a version that was later used in the European Rallycross Championship driven by Seppo Niittymäki or by Matti Alamäki in the years after Group B in the WRC.

En realidad, fue el auténtico campeón del Grupo B. Al Audi Sport Quattro le pasó materialmente por encima con 100 CV menos y al que ganó también en el 86 fue al Lancia Delta S4 (el Integrale fue un Gr. A del año 88 en adelante) y le ganó por ser un coche más fácil de pilotar dentro de aquellas potencias tan astronómicas de más de 500 CV. Se habla que fue porque ya no estaba Toivonen, pero la realidad es que en la segunda parte de la temporada ganó más rallies que el Lancia con pilotos de similar nivel. Mientras el Lancia disponía de doble sobrealimentación (Turbo+Volumex) que entregaba de manera muy brusca la potencia, el Peugeot disponía de un anti-lag del turbo (DPV system) muy parecido al turbo de geometría variable de los diesel actuales que hacía que la entrega de potencia fuera mucho más progresiva, rindiendo ambos coches a finales del 86 sobre 530-540 CV.

Ja, natürlich sind sie sehr schnell, aber auch in der aktuellen WRC geht viel Rallye-Magie verloren.
Together with Audi and Lancia, it was undoubtedly the most representative car of those years and, let's remember, winning, with two world championship titles. Then I remembered the Ford RS200 and the MG Metro 6R4, but these were less competitive.

This is a good question, but I think Lancia was the car that would have had the best development if the group B cars had remained in rallies. The dual supercharged and turbocharged power supplies would have allowed further steps in power. But let's remember that the 205 T16 is a car that won two world titles and was therefore competitive.

It would be fun to build a modern version (loosely patterned) of this car. That drivetrain layout made sense.
been done already, we had a 306 cosworth done in that layout a few years back, was so sucessful in national rallies they banned it.
