Myofascial trigger point release therapy by a pelvic therapy specialist can realign you.

I'm 54.Last summer I injured my SI joint by carrying a 13,000 btu window ac unit upstairs alone. For 2 months I could hardly walk.I limped around the construction site and did my job regardless. It finally healed on its own without surgery. Now I always ask for help before carrying heavy things. We aren't getting any younger and can't sacrifice our joints like we could before. But carrying heavy objects up steps is the worst task to do for an SI joint!
I'm a 31yrold self employed remodeler and have been dealing with SI pain for about 3 years. I know you say you avoided the heavy things. I don't really have that luxury. What did you find that maybe sped up the process?
@childersbuilders2363 I honestly don't know.I continued doing a lot of walking, probably 1.5 mi per 10 hr shifts.I used a wagon to pull anything over 30 lbs as it hurt just to walk carrying nothing. But I did not even start to heal up until a week after I finished the construction contract and sat at home for 2 weeks. In my experience it's sitting at home for 2 weeks doing nothing between contracts that healed it.Maybe get a wagon to transport things from truck to stairs then use a hand truck for pulling heavy loads up stairs. You'll not improve carrying heavy loads walking forward up steps.Hope you heal soon.
Thank you so much!! Yeah, I'm in the process of putting everything on wheels. I'll buy a wagon too! I'm already gunna get a drywall cart. I wish you good health as well!!
@childersbuilders2363 No problem.Im here to help as a joint that only moves 2°-6° can be debilitating when inflamed. And as a fellow construction worker I can really relate.
You save me so painful all days I can’t sleep and walking lot off painful but I watch it ur videos help lot thank you
Dr. Rowe is awesome!
Well thank you, and thanks for watching!
Thank you so much your stretchs have helped me immensely. 1 suggestion I don't know the muscle so it would be great if you showed a diagram showing which muscle your working on. Thanks
It's hard to fit anything but demonstration in a shorts video, since you only get 60 seconds. Thanks for the suggestion!
Omg it worked! I was in so much pain I couldn’t even cough. I cannot thank you enough 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Thank you so much, this relieved my pain!
Great you’re getting relief, and thanks for watching!
Love all your videos. They have all helped me.
Glad to hear that! Thanks for watching too.
I appreciate these vids ... I have diagnosed sacroiliac joint pain and of course only treatment is injections no thank you and PT... can’t afford going to get that so vids like these help ! Thank you
Thanks for watching!
The injections help me but the longest one has lasted is 8 wks, I had my third one 3 wks ago and already I'm in pain. I've been offered a sacroiliac joint fusion, as a last resort, as meds, PT, injections don't help. I've suffered for 15 yrs with this unbearable pain, which comes on as soon as I walk, or stand. Have you not been offered this operation?
This is the only thing that has ever given me any relief. Thank you!
This method really helps me when I'm out of alignment and can't get to see my physiotherapist.
This absolutely works!! Thank you!! 😊
Fantastic videos, thank you!
Thanks so much for watching!
Dr. Rowe, thank you for this info! Will try this!!

I went from sciatica to this. Left side. Been seeing an alignment specialist and chiropractor.Feeling GREAT for about 4 weeks then bam sacrum pain. Sitting hurts-walking is ok but bending to pick anything up is no-good. I play tennis and pickleball.I walk all the time.- This has stopped me in my tracks. The last 'attack' I had put me out for about 4 days. So this will hopefully help
Omg it WOOOORKS!! Thank you sooo much!!!
Thanks so much for watching!
Thank you 🥰
Thanks so much for watching!
Thank you so much for this video demonstration. These two exercises really helped my SI joint dysfunction secondary to an L5 S1 disc herniation I experience recently. After my disc herniation resolved. My SI joint was out of alignment and I was in severe pain and these exercises help to resolve my pain in a matter of two minutes. Thank you so much.
IT WORKED!! ahhh I love you dr Rowe, I've been chomping aleve etc for weeks 😭❤️

You Are A Magician Sir.. I Can't Tell How Uncomfortable I Was Feeling The Moment I Did This Got Instant Relief.. Just 1 Question How Many Times A Day And For How Many Days Will I Have To Do It..
Worked ! Such a hero
This video popped up the day i felt the pain scary 😰
I got a shooting pain in my lower back when I did this exercise 😢needless to say I didn’t continue
Thank you so much for this
I need this now! Will do.
I appreciate you so much!
My new nickname for Dr Rowe: “The sacroiliac king” ☝️😎
that feels awesome !! thank you !!! :)
Your technique is effective
I am shocked! It worked! I've been suffering for weeks, sometimes to tears! Finally went to doctor, diagnosed as arthritis and prescribed 800 mg Ibuprofen 3 times a day with backup prescription of Vicodin which I had graduated to. Nothing to solve root problem!
I found this video last night and did both exercises and again before I got up this morning. The burning pain in my knees is gone! No pain meds today! I can't believe it!!!! Last time I had a flairup, I went to my chiropractor for weeks and finally just quit going and suffered until it finally went away! This is voodoo magic!🤦🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Hope it lasts. Should I continue daily with both exercises?????
very shameful these doctors didn't prescribe you daily stretches. Its common knowledge pain meds dont fix the problem and chiro is only temporary relief. The only long term fix is strengthening the muscles/tendons via physical therapy and/or surgery.
you're the best!
This is helping so many people. Ty Sir. I ended up taking a cortisone shot I just couldn’t take it anymore.
Thank you so much
Thanks so much for watching!
really worked, thanks!)
Glad it helped!
Thought this seemed dumb but ur a magician thank youuuit was painful just trying to lift my knee up before but it’s better now thanks I just gotta do it a few times
Very helpful video my illiopsoas muscle has actually been hurting me for 4 months now should I go see a chiropractor. The pain is mainly in the bone next to the muscles whenever I try to lift up the leg while it is fully extended and I try to hold it (parallel to the ground). Thank you for any input you can give me. Much appreciated!
Thank you dr R. I’ve been doing this in many positions. Including Laying down on the left and right side and sitting up, after some time I learned to
engage the belly and the glutes all the same time. Love love love it. No more SI and hip pain. Happy tail wagging. Happy new year doc
Thanks
I will literally try anything idk what is causing my pain
Hope it helps, and please let us know how it works for you.
Wow thank you
Thanks so much for watching!
oh my day - thank you!
BLESS!
Thanks for watching!
It worked
What about people who have a leg length discrepancy? I think this is what’s causing my pain? Im in tears 😢
Hello. Can you please show which muscle you mean at the start of the video?
Perfect!❤ Tnks!
Thanks for watching!
Thanks seems to be working
Glad to hear that, and thanks for watching!
How does changing the foot position change the effect on the stretch?
I truly appreciate your video's. So informative and help. Thanks
Thanks so much for watching!
Can you mention what is the benfit from this exercise do you aim to increase its mobility?
I've been experiencing hip/low back pain for weeks now. Saw this and thought I'd try just to rule out sacroilitis. But after doing it for a couple of times it actually relieved the pain I was experiencing. Almost immediately. Didn't even have to do the 5 reps. It might just be temporary relief for now but I'm gonna keep at it for better results.
Hows it going so far?
Thx
I am pregnant and having terrible pain in that area. This actually provided some immediate relief! Thank you!
Glad you're getting relief!
Ohh same with me. Imalso pregnant, paining for three weeks suddenly
Speechless. I’ve had consistent pain in my right si joint and this has instantly relieved it. It’s basically gone. Care to explain the physiology behind what’s going on here?
Me too! I've been miserable for weeks and I got relief after two sets of these exercises. Totally amazed. Thought I was going crazy, so came back to check out some comments!🤦🤣🤣
@@judisinger3693 glad to hear it worked! Hate to say it but it’s not a cure. Mine came back with a vengeance and these stopped working. However core work everyday has made a huge difference!
Interesting!
Hope it helps!
Will this fix it or just give tempoary relief?, Also how often should this be done, I don't want to overdo it. Thanks Dr.Rowe
How often per day can you do this exercise without overdoing it?
Thanks! 🍻
Thanks for watching!
May I know the purpose for this treatment?
❤❤❤
Sir I started this pain after delivery and it increased after a fall. Now I can't exercise because it trigger the pain. Is it completely reversible?? Can I exercise with this pain..
Omg you are an angel . Been suffering from this for two weeks until now 🥺❤️🩹❤️
I think I just broke something doing this. Maybe that's a good sign?
Hi I have diagnosed myself with this. Bc it’s a sharp pain that I can feel only in my lower left back right into my buttock. I have to limp to avoid feeling the pain. Could this be what I have ?
Every time I open and close my leg
My knees does crack sounds
And when I don't wear 2 pants, my holl leg hurt all 3 joints, I suspect it's the cold weather I my room
I'm worried
I must see à doc but I don't have time
Amazing thank you so much ,what if while I was trying to extend my knee theirs so much pain tightness within the hamstrings lower sacro joint almost tail bone like I can barely extend my knees properly all the way not lying down not even standing bending down ?thank you 🙏
How do I get feeling back into my feet, post chemotherapy.
The corkscrewed just made my acute SI pain worse. Do you have any videos to address more acute situations where basically every movement hurts!?
If simple stretches and exercises aren't working, please consult with your local chiropractor or doctor instead. Thanks for watching.
I feel more stretch / burn when i do this exercise, is that the way it should be? The discomfort is from the S joint, around the hip joint and into upper groin muscles on both sides… i so need this to work 😮
i can walk for the first time in days🎉
I feel like my body is filled with so much tension after sleeping outside for however many years when I was homeless that any exercises that involve me trying to resist myself or whatever, like without pulling help from a wall or my hands or something, I get more tension because my muscles are so imbalanced.
Like how do I fix that? I can only release any kind of tension or get a stretch if I'm able to like I said, lean ok the wall or floor to get the stretch or I need to be pulling with my arms/hands. Otherwise I just tighten up and it's almost as if it does the opposite of it's intended purpose. I have had to teach myself how to breathe fully again after a TBi that I got cuz my ex canceled all my PT appointments back when it happened. It has taken me years of practice to make any small amount of practice with any kind of muscle knot/tension release. I am poor AF and I don't have health insurance anymore. It ended the year my ex gave me the tbi unfortunately.anyways do you know if any chiropractors like you do any work for free? Like sometimes dentists here do free fillings on people's teeth and there's a really long line but people come around my state to see them. I feel like I need my information about my body specifically, in order to properly/more effectively help myself.
I have been watching your videos for several months and some.of.them help tremendously. Idk I'm rambling. I wish I had a chriopractor like you in real life so I could be evaluated and given instructions on how to relieve my pain. I don't know where it's coming from. It's all over. And like I said I can't do resistance exercises because for me they have the opposite effect.
Anyways thanks again for the information. Sweet kicks also as per usual. 🙏✌️
What causes this, though? I guess I might be my own particular case with my own what why where but, I’m still curious. Mine likes to pop out of joint all the time and I’ve been classified as disabled for the last 20 + years because it’s so…debilitating🤷🏽♀️. And if I look at it wrong or I’ve had actual fun in life, it will turn every muscle fiber, every ligament into shards of glass. I can’t stand up straight…can breathe without pain…glad that these exercises give some relief and I’ll keep doing them. But I’m really curious, something so tucked away, so small & rigid…what on earth happens to piss them off so much that they declare acid spit fire war upon you?
