It's understandable but it takes a minute or so to adjust to listening to it. Thick Scottish accents arent common in the USA. You go into a similar community in the USA and you will find the accents are pretty thick there too (working class urban accents are generally thick anywhere).
There are some people in my local city 25 mins away that I can barely understand lol!

A lot of people think Glasgow folks sound like Russians/anything but Scottish, Glasgow also looks like Russia in a lot of places too, total shithole, its got better but murder rates got cut by half too but its been steadily dipping back down since its best year in 50 years in 20011 I think it was.

I'm English and understand them perfectly but then my mum was glaswegian and parts of my life I stayed there. Loved Glasgow.
People done understand the Glasgow accent because its not regularly on the TV and in the media like plain English accents are. The same goes for the Newcastle accent this is quite a difficult dialect to understand unless you hear it regularly. The breadth of accents in the UK is quite fascinating.

As a reformed addict I always held down jobs but despite my education and career experience, trying to get a job paying more than 30k (much less than is required to have an OK life life in London) is VERY hard without burning out with 60-100hr weeks. Since being on major pain meds for a spinal condition I've experienced morphine and also Fentinyl withdrawal. It is fucking miserable. I'm sure its lots worse when theres psychological addiction and issues too. You can even rest. It wont let you sleep OR lay still. It is like a bad trip in your mind, all your worst experiences feel like they happened yesterday AND you feel like you have been plugged into the mains electric. Desperate tiredness with zero ability to even lay still. I can't even hold my tablet or phone or a book to read when it happens. I can hardly imagine go8ng through that while on the street and psychologically addicted to a drug that does that to you... no wonder they struggle so much. Poor people, 😥

In London at least, stabbing someone in the arse was considered a way to stab someone but drastically reduce the chance of killing them. It was also a massive humiliation. It could have been a bad shot if they tried to stab him in his arse cheek and he tried to duck it.
