Considering the type of interviewees Ross often has and the presumable security protocols put in place for his own crew we can only hope that both specific answers to questions were obfuscated and that an actor was used to deliver the answers provided by the interviewee. Apart from that, none of what was aired seemed to be incriminating in any way but if the subject is credible many longlasting rumors about the grand workings of the drug trade seem to have been confirmed. I doubt there would be enough reason to seek out whoever gave the interview to deliver a "message" considering how busy the organizations are with the day-to-day and also considering how much the foot soldiers and officers love publicity that swells their mythos as long as it doesn't get to specific to ongoing operations.

My tio used to be pretty powerful in a Michoacán cartel back in the day. I remember going to visit him in Mexico and his house was surrounded with guards and all his kids had cars. He also is an ex cartel member, no they don’t always kill you when u leave. He was later shot while protecting his daughter from being kidnapped. Now paralyzed from the waist down. He quit that business after he couldn’t walk and he still lives there in michoacan with no problems from the cartel
