My opinion only.. I would start the whole sweater project over. I think you have come so far on your crochet, and you would be much happier with the final item.
Hi Juan! First time checking your videos out. I do love all things yarn and such! lol I loooved the colors in the yarn for your Tunisian crochet project. I would say it could be your tension. Yes, you’re correct, you go through 1 (Chain 1) then pull through 2 for return pass.
I would frog the knit piece and when u redo, don't use circulars for a swatch, and use a solid color, it will help u see slipped or added stitches better...START OVER ON 2 NEEDLES
Juan that Himalaya yarn is gorgeous. Sorry to say this but that sweater needs frogging right back. The shoulders need shaping to make them sit right and so do the sleeves. The colour looks wonderful on you. Maybe you could find a pattern for the yarn in that new mens crochet book you’ve got.
Juan, as a new crocheter, I abandoned a project I started early on multiple times. I finally did frog it and made something way more beautiful with the yarn, No regrets. If you cannot finish them, I think you have your answer. Make something you are happy with,💜
I like the hat and scarf. I would continue to finish the color sequence in the wide stripes. Then I would do a sequence on each end with the thinner stripes...two sets if you have enough yarn.
For your knitting, if you want it to be a finished project, then rip it out and start over. If your plan was just to use the yarn for practice, then keep on practicing.
Hi Juan 😊 Love all the things you made 👌👍💜 Keep it up ☺️ Bye the way there is another abandoned WIP you forgot 😅 the BOD shawl i didn't see it 😂 Hope you and Mama Wilma have a great day 💜💙 Greetings from the Netherlands 🏳️🌈
Hi Juan. So good to ask for recommendations for your projects. I love your scarf as is. Maybe add a simple border along the edges of the scarf. But I love the look of the stripes as they are. Regarding your sweater, are you using a pattern? You could frog the sleeves. Then lengthen the side seams up under your arm an inch or two (or more). This will bring in the sleeve top. Crochet around the armhole for a few rounds. Decrease 3 or 4 around one round every 5 or 6 rows. Keep track of decreases by placing a SM around each decrease post. Then crochet the other sleeve exactly like the first using SMs as guides. Be sure your initial sleeve round is the same for both sleeves. Hope this helps!
Juan , I know you put a lot of work in the black&red sweater but I think you will not be happy with the sweater if you continue with it! I hate to frog anything, but I learned the hard way to continue. So I would definitely frog it . That way you will be pleased with your new skills and improvements. Sincerely Janey
Yeah!!! You're gonna show how to put a scrappy diagonal C2C blanket together. Thank you. Can't wait. Kidding. I can wait. With baited breath of course. 😉
I vote keep striped hat and scarf as is the difference is width makes it more interesting. Frog everything else. I am undecided on the pink scarf, width is a personal preference. I like scarves a bit narrower but that is because I like to wind them around my neck.
Juan, The scarf is great!!! I would leave it alone as far as the width. I would add fringe to it. I think because its width a slouchy hat would be a perfect pair. Victoria
I know knitting takes awhile to catch on, but I would frog the scarf and maybe stocking stitch with 3 or 4 stitches on each side to keep it from curling and give it a more even edge. I think the Tunisian work is beautiful. I'm sure your mother will love it. I really love the moss stitch in the round blanket. The asymmetrical shawl is stunning. I loved "all the things".
Hi Juan. So here are my opinions. Remember just my opinions. 1. Pink Scarf. Frog. Its too wide. 2. Knitting. Keep going its your practice swatch. Everyone has them when they start. Start changing stitches etc until you feel comfortable. 3. Heathered hat and scarf. Finish. They look good together because they are proportional. Stripes on hat had to be thinner because its not as big as the scarf. 4. Tunisian scarf. Can't help you. I am too new at tunisian to give an opinion. It looks good to me. And return passes are to be 1 then 2 rest of the way. Ask Michael. 5. Your sweater. Maybe make the sleeves separate and then sew not crochet the seams together. If that is not possible with the design then frog. You have come a long way since December and besides sweater is too big. anyway. Mama Wench project. Sew cotton lining add a loop and button closure and now it's a notion bag. Love your other WIPs and FOs. For your birthday throw you might consider swapping the charcoal for that green in the colorway. For you RH Granny Squares that Aran color seems much lighter on the camera. It might just be my phone. Well that's it for me. Enjoyed seeing all the things.😊❤
The pink scarf..imo..i think extend the length and add a pocket to reach end.. there you have a beautiful pocket shawl! Your friend works love it and pocket shawls are so cozy when you're watching TV, reading, or even just out on the porch.
Your "thing" creation almost looks like a giant glasses case! Will you be sharing how to do the moss stitch in a rectangle when you start your birthday blanket?? Love the video as always! Thank you for spending some time with me today 🥰
Pink scarf is fine, finish it. Matching hat and scarf are perfect, finish it. Sweater .. frog it and repurpose the yarn, it's gorgeous yarn begging to be something else. The knitting.. frog it, restart with solid color yarn, that impeccable yarn is screaming to be something else. Focus on Auntie Em project, it's too beautiful to not be a priority. Looking forward to an amazing July 2024! Love and hugs! 💜
The Tunisian crochet panel is beautiful. I love the choice of color. I started one years ago and never finished. I believe I moved it along with all the yarn to go with it. Seeing yours makes me want to start another, knowing it will be a put down pickup project.
Love the yarn for the sweater. I believe if you frog it you will be able to make something spectacular that you’ll be happy with. Sometimes when we scrap projects it feels like a fail but I truly believe that we learn from every experience and you’re going to love what you’ll make from it
Start over!!❤When I knit, I tend to slip the first stitch of each row so that the edge ends smooth. If necessary for a special pattern, I add an extra stitch to the count for that 'slippin' one.
Straight needles and solid color yarn is the answer to your knitting woes. Also I was taught to slip the first stitch of the row. Keep going it doesn’t look that bad over all. 💕in Ohio
The basic stitch anti pilling scarf - I would do small stripes at the end of the scarf and use only one color (beige for example) as the main color - so, red, green small stripe sections on ends with main color for body of the scarf. ❤sweater frog
You been a busy busy dude! For your tunisian scarf on the return pass its, Chain 1 and then go through 2. the 6mm hook is fine. its recommended to go up 2 sizes but i normally drop down 1 size. My go to is a 5mm. lol. Thats a beautiful color way. Your mother will love the scarf. The top you're making is cute. Love love love the inclusivity! Glad you're keepin the scruff. lol.
To get nice edges on knitting, always slip the first stitch and knit into the back of the last. This will give a neat edge. Hope this helps. Love watching you. Keep up the good work.
Great job for your first knit project. I would frog it all and start over. You can use stitch marker to keep track of your stitch count on each row until you are more comfortable knitting. As a beginner, I count the stitches on each row since I get distracted so easily.🙂
Juan you have so much going on! It didn't even feel like it's been that long between podcast episodes. I do love a good podcast but between the wip' in it with Juan's, the caking videos the happy mail all the tutorials, and the lives your channel is definitely not lacking content. Keep up the awesome work ❤ I for sure am here for all of it.
Juan, you are answering your own questions. Yes, frog everything you asked about. Either make them over, or use the yarn for other things. You will never be happy or proud of any of them. 💕💕💕
Hi, Juan! You have so many project in the make. I think the sweater is not going to make you happy regardless of what you do. It’s to big for you and it is not up to your standards so you might need to frog that one and start from the beginning. I like the granny squares (the bright color ones and the neutral color ones too) Actually you gave me ideas to make a blanket with them for one of my grandsons. I absolutely love the moss stitch blanket and I can’t wait to see how the quarter panels are going to look once you do all the things with them. Whatever project you decide to make a tutorial with I’m going to watch it because I love to watch your tutorials and crochet along with you. Big hug, and say hello to Momma Wilma, and happy crochet. Thanks for another great Podcast. 💜👋🏼💜💜💜👋🏼💜
Hey Juan, I would redo the scarf stripes to match the hat stripes. The hat is super cute with the short stripes and I believe the scarf would look better if it matched. On the Himalayan Air Wool sweater...it is gorgeous, and you've given me ideas on what to do with my balls of that colorway😊. The sleeve is a little wonky. You could try putting a row of single crochets around the beginning of the sleeve before adding the sleeve...if that makes sense. Or if you hate it...finish (or don't) then gift it to someone that loves it. Or you could always ribbit and make something different. Hope this helps my friend!!! Trish P.S. I LOVE love love the rainbow beanie. So cute. And 100% leave fringe on the Auntie Em blanket. So stinking cute!!!
The best advice I ever received when I learn to knit was to : always slip the first stitch in a knit row and ALWAYS, ALWAYS knit the last stitch. If pattern says to decrease on last stitch, decrease on second last stitch and knit the last one! Also, don’t use circular needles unless you have so many stitches they don’t fit on your needles!
Thank you all for the wonderful feedback! All feedback is good feedback. I appreciate you! 🙏
And we appreciate you doll
Think u hav too many sts now.
I can see scarf thinner with thinner stripes!!!
I would bind off and make it a dishcloth. You can add a single crochet around to hide any inconsistency.😊

Hi Juan! Of all your projects, I would frog the oversized red and black sweater. You are a precious gem doll!! Luv you friend 🫶🏻🧶🐿👻👽😽😽😽😽
❤ Would love to see a tutorial on a smaller version of your asymmetrical shawl… so pretty with the window border.
I would frog the knit piece and when u redo, don't use circulars for a swatch, and use a solid color, it will help u see slipped or added stitches better...START OVER ON 2 NEEDLES
All your projects are wonderful!
hi Tracy Crochet Rocks recommended you loving your channel
Juan that Himalaya yarn is gorgeous. Sorry to say this but that sweater needs frogging right back. The shoulders need shaping to make them sit right and so do the sleeves. The colour looks wonderful on you. Maybe you could find a pattern for the yarn in that new mens crochet book you’ve got.
Excellent idea. Thank you!! 🙏
How about turning the pink scarf into a hooded pocket scarf? The width would be perfect for that!
My first thought was a pocket scarf. Great minds……think alike. lol, lol ❤
Great idea!
Hi Jaun. I used to knit. I don’t have the patience any longer. I will stay with crochet. 🤣🤣
The challenger could be a sunglass: case. Put a button on it. 😎
For your knitting, if you want it to be a finished project, then rip it out and start over. If your plan was just to use the yarn for practice, then keep on practicing.
Hi Juan 😊

The border of the asymmetrical is so nice. Great finished object.😅😅
The black and red works into a beautiful sweater.

Loved the 'hank bag'! Great job making something out of that polymide stuff/PW yarn! 😃

Hello from California!
Scarfie sweater- Frog the sleeves Suga. I'll show you how to do a tapered sleeve. still watching....
Hi there Juan! I have a very light day with clients... so... It looks like a 'Catch up on JTYA Videos' day today! ❤
Whilst I crochet, of course. 😊
I love your idea for the summer CAL. I like motifs would be super fun and easy to carry about without being hot to work on.
I’d definitely keep the scarf the way it is, it gorgeous
Love the blankets. Also like the fringe on the other blanket.
I love the scarf with the color way ,Grounding

Awesome job on the Mama Wench challenge. ❤
Start over!!❤When I knit, I tend to slip the first stitch of each row so that the edge ends smooth. If necessary for a special pattern, I add an extra stitch to the count for that 'slippin' one.
On the color block scarf and hat, I vote to keep it as is. I like the bolder stripes to not be too matchy. Great colors!
Keep the scarf the way it is. The hat is smaller therefore looks better with smaller stripes. ❤️❤️
We all have old project whips we started from that don’t look like what we are doing now. Practice practice practice. Keep going forward.
Hello watching your replay.
the hat and scarf are great together!
Love the Men’s hat and scarf keep going and finish.
juan, its NOT how ppl like your work, its HOW you lke your wotk tht MTTERS in the end!!!!!
Straight needles and solid color yarn is the answer to your knitting woes. Also I was taught to slip the first stitch of the row. Keep going it doesn’t look that bad over all. 💕in Ohio
Oh i love all your projects. 💜
I would just keep going. It would be beneficial to your knitting journey. You can see the improvements as you go.

I like your idea of Birthday blanket 💜💙
Auntie Em is a must FO! Stop adding to the Moss young man! you'll never finishes now! still watching... 🤣
Try slipping g the first stitch of every row for a straighter edge
I would keep the scarf as it is. It looks great with the wider color changes.
The basic stitch anti pilling scarf - I would do small stripes at the end of the scarf and use only one color (beige for example) as the main color - so, red, green small stripe sections on ends with main color for body of the scarf. ❤sweater frog

Love the stripe set, pink is really pretty. Frog the red sweater!
Juan, I think the hat and scarf set are beautiful just the way they are. I wouldn't frog the scarf at all. Just finish it and it will be lovely!
Scarf is beautiful it looks great
Good evening Juan and everyone from Wiltshire Uk 9.58 pm🇬🇧

Yes frog everything. You will be happier .❤
You can just add a thin border to the Tunisian project. It’s just your tension on the return pass. It’s very beautiful!

You could always cast off on the knit projects and save it to compare to future projects
Juan on your garter stitch if you slip the first stitch of each row off purl wise you will end up with a nice chain effect along the edge.
It looks good, and has character! Next time, A simple slip stitch at the beginning and end of each row will make a nice even edging!
Love this surprise podcast and all the things. Truly Juan, you make my day brighter. 💜 say 👋 Hi to Mama Wilma please. 🤟🏼
When knitting, if you always slip the first stitch at the beginning of each row you will get a neat edge.
