Hi Juan....I'm happy the yarn and the candies made it to your home! PS I had emailed you that I stuck a card in the packaging between the layers....I had taped the entire package and realized that I neglected to include the card and didn't want to remove all the tape. Hopefully you didn't throw the card away but if so, no problemo.
🧸🧶😃... I respectfully and heartedly say God bless you ALWAYS Juan and everyone watching you and watching your beautiful mom ... 🧶🪡🎗
Absolutely love the idea of putting fabric on the back of your mom’s work so it just adds to it and won’t take anything away from ALL the work she put into them 💙💙💙💙
Hi Juan, loved the podcast! I was doing the hand signs and my husband (whom was born deaf) asked me why I was signing the colors and knitting and crocheting! We do not sign to each other as he reads lips and has excellent speech. He is 77 and as a child taught himself to speak. He would look in the mirror all day long learning the feel of the speech by putting his palm on his vocal cords. Back in the day there was no help for the deaf and his parents refused to put him in a "home" for the deaf. Well enough of that I just want to say THANK YOU! My husband knew what you were talking about!!!! Love to you and Wilma! Oh i would kill for the Picasso!! Limited funds for us seniors!!!
❤your video ty
Hi Juan wow your mom's work is astonishing such a lovely thing to have..you have inherited her gift.many blessings 💖
Ha ha! This is for the house, not a magazine. 😂 Your Mom is awesome!!! Your Moms tub is full of treasures! ❤
Hi Juan for the long piece that your mum did .I think if you border it well would make a nice bed runner
Your MOM does beautiful work..such memories to have for the future.
I would frame the granny scarf. Make great wall art . 😊❤
(It would need to be folded)
Someone gave me some yarn when I was a young girl that her mother had. Her mother had passed away. Included was a blanket her mom had started, but it was knitted, I only crocheted. When I looked closer, I realized the squares just needed to be sewn together. I finished it and gave it back to the woman. She was so happy it brought her to tears. You may want to hang on to your mom’s projects.
Beautiful blankets by momma. The long one could go at the bottom of a bed or lay it over a chair.
Pocket shawl - perfect! Chair backer - perfect! The colors in it look lovely with the colorful yarn behind the chair! Not fix- touch up -perfect! Totally agree with your assessment. Your mom does beautiful work. She’s lovely and she has a great sense of humor. ❤️&✌️
I’m Sure That The Blankets Are Special They’re Beautiful ♥️🌹🌺👍🏽
Ooo! Yay!! It’s Juan O’clock Time!! ❤❤❤
So cute! 💕💕💕
😂😂😂😂😂
🎉❤
Juan, All your mom’s blankets are beautiful! Love all of them!
The pocket shawl will be nice and a backing on the other will really help it to pop❤
Hi Juan thanks for sharing stay safe ❤❤
Hi Juan and friends!! Watched this pod earlier today with the grandbabies and now on the rewatch! We are obsessed with Mama's blankets! I would suggest a fur trim for your pocket shawl, it would be perfect and blend in any unevenness. Much love
Loving the sign language ❤ thank you so very much warm crafting good wishes to you from Katy from NZ😊
Thank you Juan I love all the things… hehehe
Love the blankets mom made. People are saying heirlooms and yes they are. Very beautiful and special
Juan, it all sounds good to me. Love it so beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing.
You're a natural teacher 😊 I'm loving the signs
Yes! Pocket shawl for Mom and put a hood on it. It’s beautiful. All of the pieces are beautiful. I like the idea to back the pieces with fabric.
A chair backer for your studio!!! It matches your yarn scape. Would be awesome.
Good Evening Juan. I LOVE your idea to back the blanket and donate. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yes food is fire in the belly and fuel for the brain. Pretty yarn and happy mail is always a sweet surprise to see.
The long narrow piece could be used along the back of a couch. They are so bright and will brighten up any room.
Also you might want to wash them to see how they hold up.
The long on you could put pockets on it and make it a pocket shawl. Love it❤❤❤❤
Hi yuan and mum love your channel keep up the good work
Makes the last one into a pillow
Love the colors with the black blankets
These are absolutely beautiful ❤❤ the last one would make a gorgeous bed runner.
The scarf could be a table runner. Love how your mom did the items. 😊
Pocketed shawl its a good one …go for it and surprise her when done …shell love it for sure.
yes, pocketed shawl, chair blanket - simple black border, throw - yes good idea on the backing. Great works from Mom!!!!!!! Love it!
Your mom's afghans are beautiful. A pocket Shawl would be very nice, I have made several myself.
“Sometimes I just think funny thoughts!” Quote from movie “Arthur”. One of my favorite quotes!😄
The long strip is a whole vibe as a scarf!
Right!?!
A pocket shawl would be lovely, could also work as a table runner! Beautiful work 🧶
She did such a great job on that blanket. Thanks for the sign language. Hope you’re having a good good night.❤
Those blankets your mom was making are beautiful! My grandmother and mom both had macular degeneration, so I understand what she's going through. My grandmother lived to 97, but she was almost completely blind at that point. I think the Boggy Blanket is an excellent idea, and making that longer one for the back of a chair is great too! I'd wear that last one as a scarf for sure!
Use the last one as a center , work around it to make larger to a blanket. All the colors to work with.
Juanita your mom did a beautiful job so colorful 😍
Hey Juan! You’re such a natural teacher! I love how you want to preserve your mom’s work. I’d look at soft stuff for the blanket backing, like minky. But you do you. So fun watching you today WHILST having lunch. ❤❤❤
The last piece I would either fold it in half length wise and border the edges for a long scarf OR fold the ends up and edge everything around to make it into a pocket shawl for her. Love her work!!! And you♥️
Yes, your moms makes are great. Pocket shawl would be nice.
The other would look great on your chair. Make a purple border.
Throw use a color order.
Your happy mail has great yarn. Thanks for the sign lesson.
I agree on your decisions on your mom’s projects…. Especially the fabric backing and the pocket shawl. Your mom did awesome work.
Absolutely gorgeous
The French knitting spool is for making knitted I cords. Beautiful. Love all the yarn. Thanks for sharing 👍 😊 ❤❤❤
Love all the yarns!!!!!
I used to work for the Michigan Relay Center (MRC) where I help facilitate calls for the deaf and hard of hearing. We had sign language interpreters to help us with the calls. Therefore we learned some sign language. On that job we did quite a bit of crocheting between calls and I don't think we ever learned the signs for our craft. So thank you for filling in my knowledge 😊😊😊
I absolutely love your mom's huge blanket. ❤️ All those squares ❤ Such talent.
Momma Wilma does beautiful work! Such cherished pieces, i wouldnt change a thing with her work either. Your ideas are perfect in making sure the blankets will last forever
I absolutely love Mom's blankets that you showcased on this video.
Momma Wilma's blankets are beautiful...priceless !!
LoL, thanks for the giggles Juan. I had a full conversation with (myself?) lol when you showed us the British wool my minds eye quickly noted: ooooOooo, those sheep have biscuits with their tea. And a full colored image of sheep in sweaters made from the AMAZING colored yarn you showed sipping tea pinkies up, munching on coooookies (biscuits) heheehhe now... please excuse me, I must go find a cookie to crumble 💜 Thank you Juan for kick starting a fantastic day with me.
Your mom did beautiful work! A pocket shawl is a great idea if it's not too long. Could also be a table runner or a window vallance. Keep up the great work Juan! #replay
Juan, I love your mother's blankets! The bright colors surrounded by the black accent is stunning. Please tell Wilma I think they're perfect. -- Oh, I have to tell you....your No Drama Llama is drama chaos here. My littlest fur baby has chosen him as his nemesis and carries on during the video until I quiet him. I don't know what has gotten into his little head! (honestly, it's kinda cute)
Great show. Liked all your “fixes” for mom’s projects. How about a body pillow for one? Gather both ends and fill with fiberfil? Use the blanket and pillow on a bed. It will be “all the things”!
The Ice yarn! I have the Picasso, but not the brights. Need to find the perfect project.
Loved all the new signs!
For the spots that are coming apart, maybe put some fray-check on the loose/fraying spots when you've done whatever you're going to do to them.
Have fun with all that black! 🤭
WOW, I can't imagine making all those itty-bitty squares bordered with black, and THEN joining them all with black... Hats off to Mom!
🐞
Hi Juan, Mom has some beautiful work on those blankets. A labor of love. I thought the one you call a scarf - quilters make bed runners. A long fabric scarf placed at the foot of the bed. I’m sure it would look good on any bed. So bright and colorful! 😊
OMG! I am so totally flashing to a quilt my mother handed to me(cause I was the only one of her 5 children that showed a crafty interest). It was a seriously embroidered with hand done cross stitch. (That I was told was done by 3 generations of my family) I now question the true history of this story. I think this has become the guilt quilt! No one wanted to finish it, so it became embellished with "history" so that maybe someone would feel compelled to finish it! I have tried a couple of times...BUT, my daughter has taken up some quilting tasks!🤭
My sons both have quilts my mom made for them as I was carrying them. I sure hope their wives are rei
Enforcing them…
Hi. I say Hello from switzerland 🇨🇭have you cleand up? I Looks so Good …. Tanks for all the things❤
Pocket shawl is a great idea 👍
I would put cloth on back on the back of the throw like you said
Mum did a fabulous job and it will be an heirloom to keep 💜
Absolutely, that is your keepsake from your mom.
Love the yarn and great colors. Your mom's work is awesome, I want to make one like it's so beautiful. Love all your ideas, 👍 as usual.
I like the pocket shawl idea. But also think about lining it with fabric and maybe adding more to to add a back covering flap make it a ruana style.
And please tell mom I love the look of all of them. And it's completely giving me ideas.
Pocket shawl would be great, all your ideas are great ❤
Omg! Yes a Boggy blanket. God bless you and Momma. Those are heirlooms and will bring fond memories. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Your mom's work is beautiful! What a privilege you have to be able to enjoy it!!
What a wonderful effort on the blanket your mom made. I would keep it forever as well. I love the special relationship you have with her. It warms my heart.❤
With your talent you will be able to finish your mom's beautiful work. Cherish her work. Love your relationship you have with your mom. Your ideas sound great to keep her work intact.
Yes, to all your ideas for mom’s blankets!
So much fun, thank you, Juan. I have always wanted to learn sign language.
Those blankets are beautiful ❤
What a treasure your mom gave you. Such beautiful work and colors. With the "scarf," a pocket scarf 58:58 would be nice. But you could also use it as a bed runner for the foot of the bed. Just another idea.
Love your podcasts!
Yes a pocket scarf would be great. Or it could also be a bed runner for the foot of the bed. I agree with all the rest of your ideas.
Love your mom's blankets ❤❤❤
The pieces that your Mom made are, beautiful If you make a cover with your chair the colors would accent all your colored yarn these blankets are something that you will treasure forever
Hi Juan, I am absolutely in love with that afghan 💜💜💜
That blanket your mom made is beautiful!!!!!
Your mom’s blankets are beautiful! I love the idea of only color on the first round and black on the rest. It really makes the colors stand out! Beautiful ❤️
What a beautiful blanket your mom made. I love granny squares ☺️🧶
The blanket is beautiful! We’ll done!
Beautiful blanket your mom made! Never let it go!❤❤❤
I would go with the pocketed scarf!! Definitely ❤
Hi Juan, mom’s blankets are beautiful….a fleece backing would be lovely and warm. You could do the same for the big one.
Adding a fabric back to the mom blanket is a great idea. As well as the pocket shawl idea!
Kirsten did you proud. You’ve a lovely range of yarns to try out.
I agree with your recommendation on your moms pieces, she made great ideas …❤❤
Hi juan, tell your mum her blankets are stunningly beautiful!, and she has done an awesome job!. I would try and repair them for her. Bless her. Love those!. All of that hard work. I was copying your sign language. Or should I say trying! Lol. Can you sew the parts in juan?. With same colour yarn. Fantastic job Juan's mum. ! Mandy uk 🇬🇧 xxx😊
It would be a beautiful table runner.
The long piece would look lovely at the end or middle of the bed, or as you said a shawl with pockets❤️🥰
I love the idea of a 42:31 pocketed shawl for the one. Your mother did an amazing job.
Moms work is beautiful 🤩❤️
That long narrow granny scarf could also be a table runner. Pocket shawl is also a great idea!
For the throw, a patch work fabric on the back would be interesting or some vibrant print rather than a solid I think would be super cool
L💙VE the "Sign Language" Juan 💜💜💜! Love all of the Gorgeous Yarn's, the "Winter Plum" 💜, "Heather" 💜, "Agua Mist" 💙💦, "Botanical Bloom" 🤎💜❤, "Calm" 💜, "Frosted Pine" 🎄 & the "Stormy Skies" 🤍🌚⛈🌀. All of Them look Delicious to me 🤩🤩🤩!
Your Precious Mom's Blanket is Absolutely Gorgeous & Priceless 🛌💙💙💙! Definitely save the Smaller ones also. Thanks so much for sharing 😊💖!
Oh & Thanks for the information on the " Fruit Punch" 💖! I found a whole Skein already caked up in a bag with a Ball of Turqoise & a Ball of a Red that matches. I couldn't find the Yarn Band & I could not remember the name. I fell into a week long coma on January 2nd 2023 & I've had to learn everything over again & my memory is coming back more everyday 🙏✝️❤.
Hey there! Mom's blankets are amazing. I think that the Throw should have a matching purple fabric back.
The shawl idea is awesome! If you wanted to put a back on the chair back one would be stunning with a matching orange fabric backing. ❤❤❤❤❤
Hi Juan! Definitely some fun yarn! The French knitting spool is for creating I-cord. You knit with it pretty much the same as the big knitting looms, if you have ever tried one of those. Thanks for the new signs!
